Yes, of course. You can talk to anyone on this wiki.--  AHLGTG THE END IS NIGH! 04:27, 30 November 2007 (UTC)

You there!

You just randomly removed a bunch of stuff from Suicide Angel's user page! I imagine you were stealing it to use on your own page (an excellent idea), but be sure not to mess with other people's user pages in the future, okay?--Lachryma 23:35, 26 June 2008 (BST)

Editing

I've noticed that while you seem to have got the hang of basic editing, you seem to still be running into some problems, notably with the group pages for Red rev net, like the page where you basicaly created a duplicate of the Philosophie Knights frontpage. Now, if you're pinching coding I wouldn't wrry too much about it, a lot of people do, but you might want to consider learning the basics of creating a group page, so you can get a basic Idea of what certain commands do, and don't do. Also if you use the preveiw button you can make and check on multiple edits before clicking save, allowing you to tidy up and edit effectively with just the one "edit". I'm including some links to some pages that have helped me before, and have helped other people create pages.

Project Welcome - Good starting point if you need basic help. Friendly people.

Project Mentor - Here you can find someone with a level of experiance at coding and such to awnser any problems you might have

Help - PRetty self explanitory. This page might be useful to you, a lot of experianced users, myself included still rely on the help pages from time to time.

AHLG help page - Guy called A helpful little gnome. Lives up to his name! He's written a bunch of useful help ages that I think you should look at, as several of them deal with group page creation.

Hope all these links are of some help to you, and if you have any problems, just let me know!--SeventythreeTalk 14:15, 22 May 2008 (BST)

A/VB

I didn't delete your comment. I moved them to the talk page of A/VB, which is where they belong. The sysops don't quite like it when normal users clutter vandal reports with our talk, and they prefer it if we use the talk page instead. Sorry for making it look as if I was deleting them, but if you look on the discussion page, you'll see that everyone else's comment's are preserved as is on the talk page. And please use the talk page yourself in the future. Thanks.-- dǝǝɥs ɯɐds: sʎɐʍ1ɐ! 22:23, 30 December 2007 (UTC)

If you go to A/VB, and look at the top of the page, you'll see a tab called "discussion". Thats where you'd comment on anything, unless you are an defendant, sysop, or have related evidence.-- dǝǝɥs ɯɐds: sʎɐʍ1ɐ! 02:55, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

Soft warning

Do NOT rule on cases on A/VB unless you are a sysop, which you arent. Also, keep your comments to the talk page. This is a soft warning for you to correct your conduct, though continuing down this path will lead to more serious escalations. Ask Nalikill. --The Grimch U! E! WAT! 18:51, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

Thank you, you are a great help.--Novascotia 18:53, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
Yep, I ended up getting my first ban- the 24 hour one- over that one. If I remember right.  Nalikill  TALK  E!  W!  M!  USAI  05:56, 1 January 2008 (UTC)

A/VB

This is taken directly from the Vandle Banning page:

[[User:A/VB|A/VB]] said:
  • This page, Vandal Banning, deals with breaches of official policy.
  • Interpersonal complaints are better sorted out at UDWiki:Administration/Arbitration.
  • As much as is practical, assume good faith and try to iron out problems with other users one to one, only using this page as a last resort.
  • Avoid submitting reports which are petty.

Try to assume good faith, instead of directly reporting a user. It may not have been obvious User:Starman537 was just trying to remove clutter, but you could have asked first before reporting. Then, when he replied (which he did) that he meant no harm, there would be no need to take him A/VB. Slow down a bit, and don't be overzealous. Cheers --Ryiis 19:31, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

I only meant this to be a soft warning, nothing big.--Novascotia 19:33, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
As a wiki, we are all editors. If you want to soft warn people, do so on their talk pages - taking them to A/VB is asking for them to get a firm warning that goes on their record. It takes 250 edits, plus a certain amount of time to have a firm warning erased from their record. Sysops will often place soft warnings on the Admin pages to show other Sysops what has taken place. As you are not a Sysop, you are not empowered to do such things. You may find yourself getting a soft warning from a Sysop just for cluttering the Admin pages. I'm not trying to be a dick or anything, I am just trying to steer you in a good direction. --Ryiis 19:41, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
Please, get a clue. Soft warnings are for page abuse thats annoying and/or against the page guidelines and/or anything that is a blatant abuse of the page, but not directly against policy. These are broadly covered under the term "fucking with the admin pages", which clearly cover the intent (Spirit) of the concept. They are pretty much entirely limited to the administrative pages. When you report a person for vandalism, make sure they have actually broken a guideline or two of the wiki, rather than just irritating you, or you will cop another such warning for misusing the pages (Its ok to be wrong about a policy violation, but dont make shit up or report irritating people, it irritates us sysops). After that the real stuff starts flying. --The Grimch U! E! WAT! 05:39, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
And I knew this whole "soft warning" system would confuse people. Maybe we ought to get this set down firm in policy rather than relying on the various people to decide when a soft warning is and isn't appropriate?  Nalikill  TALK  E!  W!  M!  USAI  05:57, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
Its only confusing to the extreme newbie. Its pretty common sense: Dont fuck around with the admin pages. We sysops dont like it. --The Grimch U! E! WAT! 06:01, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
i dont like alot of things. but if it's not againest the rules you shouldnt be able to do anything about it. of course this is the same old argument....--'BPTmz 07:08, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
They did break a guidline: blanking pages.--Novascotia 02:26, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

Hehe

Him? Pih, I could beat him up with a stick.

Do not worry, it's going to pass beacuse no one really cares (or plays) :P--  Savant  Chit-Chat  13:43, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

Lets take him down.--Novascotia 00:45, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

Confused?

I just got a warning for "spamming the recent changes with many edits".

First, what page is the "recent changes" that I've supposedly been spamming? The only pages I edit are the one for my group (including our main page and member page), and I add discussion posts on ally group's pages.

Color me completely confused.

Lexicon Revival

Hey Im checking in to see if you would be interested in finally finishing the Lexicon. When I returned to UD after a long absence and I saw that the Lexicon was not done yet and I think we should try to finish it off and give it a fitting end. If you're not interested anymore then please remove your name from the list.--Slowwber 18:55, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

Anything special happening today?

What is this page? It is going to need more content or to be moved to your user space otherwise it is subject to deletion under the little or no content (Crit 1) criteria. If you want it moved please post it on A/MR.--– Nubis NWO 13:37, 27 June 2008 (BST)
