Suggestion description
The NAD is a recently developed technology which allows characters that possess the NecroNet Access skill and are in an area covered by the mobile network to examine nearby zombies to identify if they have been tagged or not. For example "There are 7 zombies here. 5 of them have already been DNA scanned in the last 24 hours." The NAD could only be found in NecroTech buildings with a 2% chance of discovery and a 4% encumbrance. The main purpose would be to help scientist be more efficent in tagging and locating zombies. Note: The name would definatly have to be changed.

Keep Votes

  1. Keep- I dig it. I love new gadgets to play with, and this will help us scientists instead of wasting AP to see if someone already scanned. -- BlackReaper 19:31, 7 October 2007 (BST)
  2. Keep- It would help out. I hate burning AP on zeds that have been scanned--Dragon fang 04:30, 29 September 2007 (BST)
  3. Keep -- Good idea, since the server already has this information present, this wont have any negative effects on the the server. Also, it's not useless, so... --Your friendly neighbourhood psychopath, Lord Evans 05:45, 29 September 2007 (BST)
  4. Keep - Well it would be helpful for revivers and it would hurt anything. --Sonofagun18 06:16, 29 September 2007 (BST)
  5. Keep Something like this should exist. hmm, but what to call it... ~A`Blue`JellyTME*V*I*L*? 07:37, 29 September 2007 (BST)
  6. Keep - Meh.--'BPTmz 08:37, 29 September 2007 (BST)
  7. Provivional keep Unless someone finds that dupe link.--SeventythreeTalk 09:33, 29 September 2007 (BST)
  8. Keep altough I think it requires further development - when it comes to making a DNA-scan, there isn't a way to choose which zombie you want to scan, there's only general "a zombie".Knowing that there are 5 zombies already scanned wouldn't allow a scientist to avoid them anyway.--James beckerson 09:58, 29 September 2007 (BST)
  9. Provisional Keep - as Seventythree. And yes, the name needs to change. I don't want to use my 'nads to access NecroNet. --Pavluk A! E! 13:37, 29 September 2007 (BST)
  10. Keep/Tweak Still needs a little, tiny amount of work, like for example maybe having a small, five-by-five necronet map accessible from anywhere with it for several AP or integrating it with the already-available-in-NT's-and-near-useless-with-maps-online GPS system, but whatever. It's good enough for me. --Howard Bentley 15:23, 29 September 2007 (BST)
  11. Keep/Tweak - As Howard. I'd like to see a small map with the NAD. --Abi79 AB 15:26, 29 September 2007 (BST)
  12. Change NAD - Name it something else. I dont want to even think of what kind of spam will happen if an idiot gets two and starts playing with his nads... Good suggestion, though. Its like a PDA. OR just make it a feature of a cell phone. doc crook 15:55, 29 September 2007 (BST)
    I don't suppose I can change the name now? User:Taint 11:13, 29 September 2007 (EST)
  13. Keep - Me likey.--  AHLGTG THE END IS NIGH! 16:29, 29 September 2007 (BST)
  14. keep - especially if a zombie can "feeding drag" your NADs out of your pocket :)
  15. Keep We need a use for the mobile network. Cellphones are bleh.--Wooty 18:49, 29 September 2007 (BST)
  16. Keep - Useful. --Midianian|T|T:S|C:RCS| 19:03, 29 September 2007 (BST)
  17. Keep - And don't shoot down just because it vaugly resembles some suggestion somewhere. BoboTalkClown 00:03, 30 September 2007 (BST)
  18. Keep - Not bad. I'm pretty sure it's not a dupe... I remember something similar on the developing suggestions page, but I don't remember any actual suggestions that this might be a dupe of. --Steakfish 00:46, 30 September 2007 (BST)
  19. Keep - DNA extractors can already upload information to the Necronet. Having another portable device capable of downloading it is entirely reasonable. --Pestilent Bob 02:15, 30 September 2007 (BST)
  20. Keep - Meh.-- dǝǝɥs ɯɐds: sʎɐʍ1ɐ! 17:26, 30 September 2007 (BST)
  21. Keep - Sure. --Hhal 20:54, 30 September 2007 (BST)
  22. Keep - I like it- adds more use to the mobile network. --Karlsbad 04:09, 1 October 2007 (BST)
  23. Keep - Alrighty then. Name needs work, although enough people are saying that as it is. Meh.--Private Mark 04:21, 1 October 2007 (BST)
  24. Keep Author Vote --Taint 20:54, 3 October 2007 (BST)
Keep- Even though NecroNet does almost the same thing, this is much more useful because it tells you the status (scanned, not scanned) of certain specimens! --Paris V-W 17:26, 13 October 2007 (BST) Vote after deadline

Kill Votes

  1. Kill - Not realistic - how could you tell if it's already in the DNA database unless you're already scanning it? --Pgunn 21:35, 29 September 2007 (BST)
I believe the answer to your question is that the way DNA scanning "works" is that after the zombie is scanned the data is sent and incorporated into the NecroNet. This device allows you to access it. --Taint 02:44, 30 September 2007 (BST)
  2. Nerfs NecroNet.--Pesatyel 03:53, 1 October 2007 (BST)
How does it do that? It is an extremely limited version of the NecroNet requiring mobile coverage. Is it overpowering compared to the NecroNet? No. The regular NecroNet is much more useful than this. Whereas if you want to find all tagged zombies with the "NAD" you have to walk into 9 blocks and their buildings whereas in a NecroTech building you only have to access the terminals. --Taint 18:12, 1 October 2007 (BST) 1:12 1 October 2007 (EST)
  3. Change -Underpowered, actually. I was thinking of something like this to let you actually access the profiles of scanned zombies (since you currently can't do that except for the first one). Also, something's wrong with your re, but I'm to lazy to fix it. --AlexanderRM 23:25, 1 October 2007 (BST)

Spam/Dupe Votes

  1. Dupe of something somewhere on here and i know it. -- SgtBop 06:25, 29 September 2007 (BST)
  2. This dupe vote won't count until a link has been supplied. --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 01:07, 30 September 2007 (BST)
  3. Spam - Use the already existing Necronet which does exactly this but requires you to power an NT/be at an NT.--Karekmaps?! 21:22, 30 September 2007 (BST)
