Thanks for the dupe link. Just so you know, you don't need to make links with an #anchor
an external link. For example, while you had
you could have also done
The advantage of the latter is that it keeps all the nice wiki features intact (e.g., "what links here," "related changes," etc.) –Bob Hammero Mod•B'crat•T•A 23:57, 19 June 2006 (BST)

We went to every building. Nearly half were empty with no one in it. The ones that were barricaded up were assumed to have survivors in it. Though most contained no one in it. However we did find a motherload of CC and C4NT in Havercroft. But those are different suburbs. Sonny Corleone WTF 01:10, 27 June 2006 (BST)

Suggestions
You may support my way of thinking on the suggestion's page, but you just killed my zombie alt on the Nix building in Barrville. Ambiguous fella indeed. --Matthew Fahrenheit Talk 03:17, 3 July 2006 (BST)

Hey Rheingold, Noticing how well you made the Necrotic symbiotes suggestion gives me a question; Can you give me any pointers on how to improve my Viral Contagion Suggestion? Or should I leave it the way it is? --Canuhearmenow 16:06, 4 July 2006 (BST)
Extravaganza bamba
I would be interested in knowing how exactly did you come to the conclusion that it was (whatever his name was) who did the Bamba interpretation in Silley park... I'm interested, because your screenshot is EXACTLY, word for word, expression for expression, everything I as my zombie alt said that day... didn't actually bother on clicking on the zombie's name, did you? --McArrowni 23:46, 4 July 2006 (BST)
- Thank you. I guess dancing the bamba is just the kind of thing this guy does? Must be nice knowing him :P--McArrowni 01:59, 5 July 2006 (BST)
My 2¢
"Keep - I'll take the zombies' word on it that this is balanced. But it sure doesn't look that way to me, I'd take Corpse every time. Rheingold 23:28, 4 July 2006 (BST)"
- Well, personally I'd prefer the "fresh" class. Reason being that I lose so many AP getting headshot that I'd want to be able to get Ankle Grab ASAP. Now you might be thinking, "Doesn't getting XP faster also facilitate that?", yes and no. If you are lucky enough to have a meal show up and make himself all easy to eat, then the Corpse class is definately your choice. If, on the other hand, you're in a survivor dominated area full of metagamers and clued up players, you'll almost never get that chance unless you can move fast.
- I'm not sure about what extend your experience of playing with zombies is, but until recently I was a hardcore zombie player. Although I've diversified, I know what it's like trying to raise a 0th level zombie, and a "native" zombie. Yeah, it was practically impossible to hit with the 0th level, but leveled up only marginally slower than with the native. I believe that if I had of had Ankle Grab and the no Vigor Mortis style zombie that I would have levelled up faster with the second zombie. –Xoid S•T•FU! 06:52, 5 July 2006 (BST)
Syringes in powered Necrotechs
The probability to find one is around 12,5%, so that makes it only 8 AP to find some. Check Search odds for more info. --Matthew Fahrenheit YRC | T | W! 05:44, 17 July 2006 (BST)

While the iamge would have been smaller as a PNG, you first mangled it by turning it into a JPG. You can make a JPG out of a PNG, but not vice versa, not unless you like seeing the 3-fold increase in file size that is. –Xoid S•T•FU! 14:37, 19 July 2006 (BST)

Xoid and I already talked about that. There were links posted in the Talk page and I thought they were saying I was accusing the DEM of cheating. So I was trying to say I wasn't accusing them. Big ol' misunderstanding. Sonny Corleone WTF RRF ASS 23:50, 9 August 2006 (BST)
Suggestions page formatting
Hey there, I just noticed you made a formatting error voting on the latest suggestion on the suggestion page (Canu-vitz's new class). You left the '*' after your '#', which causes it be indented like a re. Just a heads up from the formatting-fiend to be more careful, else I might have to sick my gremlins on you. --Burgan 15:47, 18 August 2006 (BST)

Spamvitz
I was curious as to why you are spamming the new DNA scanner suggestion. I've usually found your votes to be rational and duly critical, but I don't see why this one is spam because of 'no free xp…bikes…'. It's just a way to give scientists more purpose and XP (because leveling a scientist can be slow) and can help get info on your bodified friends.
I think the acting assumption right now is that they can only be scanned once a day, and for the meager XP reward it's just as well to fire off one bullet during a siege as it is to harvest body XP. I think it's alright, but if I'm missing something, let me know.--Burgan 06:53, 12 September 2006 (BST)
- P.S. I just noticed that in an earlier message where I was nitpicking your formatting, I accidentally posted the same thing twice. I'll blame that on the poor wireless connection I had at the time, but the irony still tickles me. --Burgan 06:56, 12 September 2006 (BST)
- Fair enough. I've never found DNA extraction to be dangerous from live zombies, though, and bodies will get scanned just as fast as standing zombies are. I still think it's a useful tool for checking if bodies are reviving, if only for the players who don't get the zombie skills. I would see of that as more of a kill than a spam anyways, but that's at your discretion. --Burgan 21:12, 12 September 2006 (BST)
River Suggestion
Hi - please remove your river suggestion from development. It's a combination of my suggestion, currently under voting, and all the ideas from the voters on my suggestion. To take all of that, compile it together and call it your own isn't fair. Cheers. --Funt Solo 09:31, 30 September 2006 (BST)

Predicting the future is a no-no
"Thankfully this will never get implemented or zombie numbers would drop to 30% in a week" When the ransack buff was implimented in June, (Or was it July?) I made the prediction that survivors would be realitivly extinct by the end of a week, It's been a few months since then, and a lot of us are still standing.--Labine50 MHG|MalTel 23:56, 18 October 2006 (BST)
Your Defence of Jon Pyre
I meant the advice I gave Jon as friendly. He's been making one suggestion per day for a while now, and, like I said, nobody is superhuman enough to come up with a great suggestion per day. It was obvious he was getting upset with the process, so I suggested he take a short break from it. And he agreed with me, so I'm not sure why you're getting so annoyed, or even getting involved at all. --Funt Solo 09:39, 23 October 2006 (BST)
Shearbank Chronology
Could you timestamp and date your reports on the ongoing activity from Shearbank. Lots of Breakins happen at Whippey and it's only really useful info if we know which happened when. Things move too fast just for the date to serve on its on, timestamp with signature please.--The Envoy 04:50, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
Shearbank News
For what it's worth, a lot of wiki users like something more than stats in their news, which otherwise make for rather dull (even if informational) reading--I have nothing to do with Shearbank, but I enjoy posts like The Envoy's last one. --Barbecue Barbecue 02:04, 30 November 2006 (UTC)
I think you misinterpreted what I meant by saying the ransacking report was "premature", since that's the only thing I think you could be complaining about in your ranting update. I didn't mean "ransacked" in the strict game sense, but as in "all is lost". I mean a building that is ransacked, but brought on line within a few hours, can't really be claimed as hard and sure a manner as your factual need requires (which again reduces the usefulness of hard facts on the newsboard, since such 'hard facts' are readily apparent on the gameboard). As I, and apparently at least members of Omega Company (who have bad blood with me and USIT and LMFAO, btw, so we rarely agree on anything), noticed up and running NT facilities and other useful structures well after your gloat. Your "get this Yagotpon" remark can easily be seen as Shacknews turning around to finish up unfinished business (I mean, to get to Yagoton, you had to go back the way you came). Further "resistance to the horde is less than minimal" is complete b.s. unless you acknowledge that you're now riding the wave that built up after over 14 days of trying to take down one NT building. It's actually kinda frightening how factmongers on the wiki don't really check their own voice unless their upset and wants to delineate things as a list.--The Envoy 20:54, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
Can we stop suggesting that material be deleted from news pages, rather than, if deemed necessary, moved to the appropriate talk page? Just as a courtesy--and might head off some edit wars in the process. This is not to say that I endorse the facts vs. speculation argument, of course--I would argue that properly labeled speculation, within some limits, is indeed of interest, if only as part of the RP element of the game, of which the wiki forms a key part. But even if we don't see eye to eye there, I think the deletion issue merits some thinking about. --Barbecue Barbecue 21:49, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
No one's suggeting things be deleted from the News but Rheingold and a few mods who aren't really active in Shearbank aside from occasionally warning about NPOV. Since it's been made clear that there are no rules, and no rules coming anytime soon apparently, to suburb info management, they've even leaned off that a bit. At least that's why I think we're all here and not in Shearbank's Discussion. Anyway, I concur, with Barbecue Barbecue, that speculative news, what in journalism is often called analysis, is tolerable and welcome on the Shearbank page at least. If you'd rather, I can attribute all my speculation to a consensus of survivor radio chatter, which it is (If The Envoy weren't so vested in intelligence gathering, he would've hightailed it out of Shearbank probably ten days ago). As far as the "met its match", how much longer is Shearbank/Stickling holding up compared to Yagoton or Caiger? The survivors have put up a better fight than most, and Shacknews even anticipated it. You guys will move through, probably keep on going, and all the survivors you mauled will probably be back here and the whole thing will be an old war story, and keeping the news the way we like to around here, which makes it both an attractive refuge and target (we got personality, which you just don't get from Zombies: 9900 Humans: 4. Of course, if you folks decide to make Shearbank your home, which doesn't seem your style , I and the rest of the survivors who make Shearbank a fun place to be will find somewhere else to reside. Feel free to hunt us down, we'll probably just move back the Shearbank when we hear you're coming ;).--The Envoy 22:17, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
Rheinhold != Rheingold
Hey Rheingold, despite the fact that I've killed you a few times, and your arm often appears to be dangling precariously from its socket, you seem to be a good fellow. In better days maybe we can get together for beers. Anyway, people seem to get us mixed up every once in a while, which is a little awkward, what with me having been around Malton a good bit longer, and there's been some unfortunate disagreements with comrades in barricaded buildings, so if you might put a brief note on your User page indicating we're not in any way related but hold each other in high regard, I'd be much obliged. Catch you on the flip side. --Rheinhold 17:51, 11 December 2006 (PST)
