#'''Spam''' - I don't think this needs any explanation, but just in case anyone is on a vote-striking spree, this is way too overpowered and pointless, you shouldn't be able to shoot people outside, and is a waste of AP. Srsly, read the Dos and Do Nots before suggesting. --[[User:JaredV|JaredV]] 02:40, 22 September 2008 (BST) | |||

Tri-Pod Gun

Suggestion type
New emplacement (like a generator)
Suggestion scope
Survivors, Safehouse Defense
Suggestion description
The Tri-Pod Gun is an "emplacement" of sorts. The military, hearing the need for more powerful weapons, began to drop crates into the city carrying the Heavy Tri-Pod Mounted Machine Gun #V3284 "Vulcan". The Fort Armory recieved a small number of them (giving a 1% find rate), and supply crates occasionally have them (2% chance). You can carry a Tri-Pod gun in your inventory (it would take up a little more space than a generator). You can set up a Tri-Pod Gun for 5 AP only outside of buildings, and it cannot be taken once it is placed (like a generator). You cannot set up a gun if there are more than 10 zombies in that block. It would add no defensive value to the barricades already in place. You can get on and off the Tri-Pod Gun for 2 AP and fire it for 1 AP. There can only be one Tri-Pod gun in each block, trying to place another would give you an error. The enemy can attack either you or the gun. The gun has 2 hits more than a generator, simply because it is well built (and it is used in a higher risk area). When you are on the Tripod Gun, enemy attacks have a 5% accuracy increase to damage you you (You're completely still!). The gun will automatically break after it has been used 40 times and vanish. Destroying the gun would not harm the survivor using it. Of course, a zombie cannot use the Tri-Pod gun. The gun would have a basic 20% hit rate for 10 damage. Only one person can be on a Tri-Pod gun at once. The gun requires a new skill under military "Weapon Emplacement" to set up and operate. Basic Weapons Training would increase the accuracy by 10%. If you are currently thinking "overpowered", then hear this. You cannot move while on a tripod gun. Attempting to do so will give an error. So essentially, you get incredible Zed-killing power, but are highly vulnerable to attack. You will probably be diverting much of the attention from the barricades, giving any survivors inside a chance to top off the 'cades if they were breached. This would add a new dynamic to the gameplay, with brave survivors putting themselves in harm's way to defend those in the safehouse.
In the end, this might not have been the best idea I've made. I know that. This is the first suggestion I've made in a while. Post your reasonings, and what could improve in the suggestion.

- Spam - Killing zombies outside is pointless. Also, fixed the format for you. Next time do it by the instructions, most importantly the last step. --Midianian|T|T:S|C:RCS| 19:48, 21 September 2008 (BST)
- Spam - OMG Gient gunz FTW!!! Oh, and killing zombies outside is a waste of AP.--William Told 19:59, 21 September 2008 (BST)
- Spam - Pointless. --Papa Moloch 20:01, 21 September 2008 (BST)
- Spam - As above, but I also need to point out the sheer trench-fuckin-tastic-ness of this suggestion. And... see... you don't need bigger guns: you need smarter tactics. --WanYao 20:03, 21 September 2008 (BST)
- Spamtastic - No. Military. Type. Weapons. Ever. Malton has enough trenchies as it is. We don't need any "0MG IMMA G0 5H007 Z3D5 0U751D3 CU2 1T M4K35 M3H L00K C00L UNL1K3 U N00B5!!" situations. It's both a waste of AP and programming code. The ability to pick flowers and give them as presents would be better. -- Cheese 20:51, 21 September 2008 (BST)
- Spam - It has 'gun' in the title. -- . . <== DDR Approved Editor 23:36, 21 September 2008 (BST)
- Epic Spam - this is a WTFCENTAURS suggestion, because it's overpowered to the power of fuck (and that's a lot, let me tell you), and it's also not as cool as my Zombie Catapults. --Funt Solo QT 00:37, 22 September 2008 (BST)
