Rail HistoryMalton Rail, or "Malton Railway" as it was originally known as until the name was re-branded in 1976, was first established in 1903 by the Malton City Council through a deal arranged with the National Railway Association (or, the NRA) and United National Investment Company of Eastern Financers (or, UNICEF). With the power of the NRA and the financial backing of UNICEF, two forces best not opposed, the city's main railway tracks, the NorthSouth Line and the EastWest Line, were constructed by November 1906. Of course construction did not end with these two major lines, but rather continued to expand as more and more railway stations were constructed in every one of the city's suburbs. By 1918 the railway had completed construction of the Great Western Line which ran through all the suburbs between Starlingtown and Owsleybank, providing swifter transport between east and west Malton as the earlier EastWest Line was used primarily to connect with the NorthSouth Line and thus provide inter-city transportation. It was not long before the NRA's trains were soon on track and providing both public and private transportation throughout Malton.By 1930 the number of Malton's railway stations had nearly doubled, tripling in 1958, and quadrupling in 1976, as the city was considered one of the most public transport conscious city's in the entire country with some suburbs having as many as 5 to 6 stations all within a 10 block area. Prior to the "Malton Incident" the only suburbs that did not possess even a single railway station were Shearbank, West Boundwood, and Stanbury Village, each for their own reasons. To this day survivors still dream of the day that the trains will once again run, perhaps allowing free and safe travel through zombie-infested Malton. Northeast MaltonNortheast Malton, or the "NE Corner" as it is known to locals, has 69 railway stations located in varying numbers in its various suburbs. Of all four districts of Malton the northeast is known to have the largest number of railway stations in the entire city. This is no doubt due to it being the hub of Malton's industrial sector. Shearbank, one of the three suburbs in Malton that has no railway stations, is located in this district. Heytown, on the other hand, has the most railway stations in this district, with the suburb possessing 6 stations in total. The two most traveled sets of tracks in this area are the NorthSouth Line and the EastWest Line. Northwest MaltonNorthwest Malton has 61 railway stations located in varying numbers in its various suburbs. Of all four districts of Malton the northwest is known to have had the third largest number of railway stations in service prior to the "Malton Incident". West Boundwood, one of the three suburbs without any railway stations, is located in this district. Judgewood and Shuttlebank on the other hand have the most railway stations in this district, with both possessing 6 stations. The two most traveled sets of tracks in this area are the NorthSouth Line and the EastWest Line. Connor K has been spoted in Yagoton PKing. Southeast MaltonSoutheast Malton has 56 railway stations located in varying numbers in its various suburbs. Of all four districts of Malton the southeast was known to have the fewest number of railway stations in the entire city prior to the "Malton Incident". Stanbury Village, one of the three suburbs without any railway stations, is located in this district. Gulsonside and Fryerbank on the other hand have the most railway stations in this district, with each possessing 4 stations. The two main sets of railway tracks in this district were the NorthSouth Line and the Sunshine Line. Southwest MaltonSouthwest Malton has 63 railway stations located in varying numbers in its various suburbs. Of all four districts of Malton the southwest is known to have had the second largest number of railway stations in service prior to the "Malton Incident". Mornington is the suburb with the most railway stations in this district, as it possesses 6 stations in total. The two most traveled sets of tracks in this area are the Southern Line and the EastWest Line.
Camp RollsCamp Rolls is the headquarters of the Rail Hobos. http://dssrzs.org/map/location/48-10 The HQ is Dorrington Road Railway Station in Yagoton. The entry point inside is at Factory 49,10. The following is a list of buildings around "Camp Rolls" which I find helpful. Police Departments, Hospitals, NecroTech Buildings, a Mansion and a Mall can all be used for ideal purposes.
The Yagoton Barricade Plan states Dorrington Road Railway Station should be set at EHB at all times. Dorrington Road Railway Station sparked Kraeth's interest in the idea of free running and a way of passage through Malton. Dorrington Road Railway Station is located near Bale Mall, Southall Mansion and a few Police Departments and Hospitals. This is a key point of interest for the Malton Rail. When working with The Abandoned and when the Yagoton Revivification Clinic needs defense, this is the primary location to be. I support The Abandoned and their desire to save the suburbs of Yagoton and Millen Hills
A necrotech building, just north of Dorrington Road Railway Station.
One of two close Police Departments near Dorrington Road Railway Station. This one is northeast from the station, right next to Martha General Hospital and the Southall Mansion. {{User:DangerReport/Moorhouse Place Police Department} This Police Department is right under Dorrington Road Railway Station. Best place to get ammo and guns from HQ.
Next to Southall Mansion, closest Hospital to Dorrington Road Railway Station.
Just north of Dorrington Road Railway Station, great for parties!
Just west of Dorrington Road Railway Station. Great place to get whatever the hell you need. |
