Alner Mansion is a four-block mansion in the suburb of Roachtown.
Rumors circulate that the mansion is haunted. Filthy Jenkins, a moderately known hobo and guinea pig for Radio Free Malton is said to have originated here. The mansion is sometimes regarded as one of the last stops for survivors moving in to Ridleybank.

History
Lord Peter Alner, owner and builder of Alner Mansion decreed in his last will that upon his death, which occurred in the Great Fire of 1912, his very large collection of exotic pornography from all ages and corners of the world be donated to the Fluck Library.
Lord Peter was an avid collector of many exotic artifacts, but sadly, most of his collections were sold after his death to relieve the considerable debts of his primary heir, his nephew Arthur Roachwood. When the mansion was abandoned it fell into disrepair, and most of the remaining artifacts went missing over the years, in the hands of burglars and of children entering the mansion on a dare.
Strange rumors abound about the cause for lord Peters death, and later it was said that an unpleasant mood hung about the mansion. Whether there is any substance to this or not can only be answered by the survivors attempting to stay alive inside.

October 17th, 2007- Seven zombies outside, four on the inside. Building is quite strongly barricaded.

June 2007
June 29th, 2007 - House is ransacked, but mostly abandoned, with only one or two zeds at any given time.
June 6th, 2007 - This house once again belongs to the dead.
June 1st, 2007 - Alner's Ghost has returned to his ancestral home. He has been attacking anyone who stays in the mansion.

May 31st, 2007 - Drama Club staged a performance of "Apocalypse Now" in the NW corner of Alner Mansion for the 2 survivors there as part of their Outward Spiral Tour of Malton. The group plans to travel in a counter-clockwise expanding spiral from the center of the town to the outer edges. See their group page for performing groups and schedules.
May 24th 2007 - The mansion seems to be safe
December 2006
December 21st 2006 - The mansion seems to be safe, no zeds inside and the northeast and southwest corners of the mansion are extremely heavy barricaded. Although there's only a few survivors inside.
November 2006
November 13th, 2006 - As recently as yesterday, Zombies were seen roaming around the ransacked mansion. Barricades still exist in a few corners, though the loose-knit coalition of survivors thought to be operating out of the mansion are nowhere to be found.

October 8, 2006 - The mansion is holding out nicely and the surrounding buildings are likewise doing fine, feel free to clear out the nt to the SW

September 28, 2006 - Mansion is secure. It is being tended by a small group of survivors who have grown tired of constantly staying on the move, preferring instead to settle down.

May 27, 2006 - Mansion has a couple of zeds inside, all doors open. Would not recommend staying there unless you have a deathwish.
February 2006
February 5th, 2006 - Union Representatives scout the Alner Mansion and report back to the President. The Union is currently negotiating with the Ridleybank Resistance Front as to whether a partnership is to be formed between the two groups.
