Thrash (Tear V3.0)

Removed by author for tweeking. This really would be a whole lot easier if you were mind readers you know. Ya'll should probably work on that. --Paradox244 18:01, 4 August 2006 (BST)

Thrash V2.0

Withdrawn by author. Again. --Paradox244 18:11, 4 August 2006 (BST)

Thrash V3.0 (Tear V6.0)

Timestamp: Paradox244 18:05, 4 August 2006 (BST)
Type: Skill
Scope: Zombie attacks
Description: This will be a zombie skill under Infectious Bite.

Thrash- You can go into a wild feeding frenzy, attacking with both teeth and claws. You may infect the target or consume some of their flesh.

This would open up a new attack, seperate from bite or claw, that would cause 8 damage with a 10% to hit. It would be affected by tangling grasp, for a total to hit of 20% and an MBA of 1.6, greater than that of bite by less than that of claw. It would have a 35% chance of infecting the survivor. It would also have a 35% chance of triggering digestion. These chances would be seperate, so you might infect but not digest, digest but not infect, do both, or do neither. This is sort of a zombie flare gun, an attack for zombies who want a powerful attack with status effects, but the risk of them not kicking in. The percentages for the infection and digestion are negotiable, so don't kill because of that.

Votes

  1. Keep - Author keep. I think this is good for variaty, while not being unbalanced. --Paradox244 18:07, 4 August 2006 (BST)
  2. Keep - It's ok. I'd personally rarely use it since I have a better chance of making my way into a bot barricaded building than do real damage. Sonny Corleone WTF RRF ASS 18:17, 4 August 2006 (BST)
  3. Keep Sounds pretty fun. I'll use it with my maxed character for kicks or with my last AP for hopeful kills. One condition: fix the title, shouldn't this be Thrash (Tear v3.0) v3.0? --Burgan 18:25, 4 August 2006 (BST)
    • Re I decided to use Tear V6.0 instead, since it is. --Paradox244 18:28, 4 August 2006 (BST)
      • Re: Thanks, that's acceptable, I was just being silly anyways. Nested version numbers tickle me for some odd reason.--Burgan 18:52, 4 August 2006 (BST)
  4. Keep - This one is better, and the zombies ARE in need of a high damaging skill. --Poopman9 18:39, 4 August 2006 (BST)
  5. Kill - Why would I need this? If it's only 20% to hit, then % to infect would only be like 7% total. I'd rather just infect, digest and claw with their own skills. --Niilomaan 19:04, 4 August 2006 (BST)
  6. Keep - It's a good mix, creates a bit of uncertainty as to what the combat outcome will be. --Preasure 19:19, 4 August 2006 (BST)
  7. Keep - Now I like it a lot more. --Nob666 19:30, 4 August 2006 (BST)
  8. Kill - once you get to V6.0, you need to take the hint. --Gage 22:05, 4 August 2006 (BST)
  9. Kill - Personally, I don't see any reason to use this. -- BeefSteak WTF 23:45, 4 August 2006 (BST)
  10. Keep - Zombies need another attack, and this one is much better than the previous versions. --Neraka Knight W! 23:47, 4 August 2006 (BST)
    • Tally - 7 Keep, 3 Kill, 10 Total. --Paradox244 W! 00:16, 5 August 2006 (BST)
  11. Keep Sounds good, not overly powerful, and zombies could use a new skill. Why not. HamsterNinja 00:41, 5 August 2006 (BST)
  12. Kill - I don't see anything compelling or creative or new about this. Its not total shit, but it isn't all that great either. --Mookiemookie 01:34, 5 August 2006 (BST)
  13. Kill - High damage and status effects. I dont care if theres a chance they might not work. How about if I hit a zombie with a flare gun theres a chance that they catch on fire? Would that be fair? Youronlyfriend 01:36, 5 August 2006 (BST)
  14. Keep - Messy eater, interesting. Humans have a lot of weapon choices, another hand to hand option can be fun. --MrAushvitz 02:27, 5 August 2006 (BST)
  15. Keep - Zombies need another attack, and I could see how I could use this. Mrhhr! -BrainsYummy 04:04, 5 August 2006 (BST)
  16. Keep - Sounds fine. --Max Grivas JG,T,P! 05:46, 5 August 2006 (BST)
  17. Kill - Since Sonny voted keep, I'll vote kill. (I would like to point out that I hate the idea anyway)--Labine50 MHG|MalTel 06:42, 5 August 2006 (BST)
  18. Kill - Up the to-hit percentage a bit. No, I'm not crazy. Remember that tangling grasp doesn't give a flat 10%, you have not factored in the chance of missing and losing your grip, and the chance of just missing and retaining your grip. Even an extra 2-3% to-hit would make the real MBR closer to 1.6, which is what people are voting keep on. --Xoid 10:09, 5 August 2006 (BST)
  19. Keep - Since Labine voted kill, I'll vote keep. (I would like to point out that I like the idea anyway) --A Bothan Spy Mod WTF U! 11:11, 5 August 2006 (BST)
  20. Kill Just don't like it. Zeds do need a low hit high damage attack but this isn't working for me. I think its the tangling grasp part that does it (i mean flailing beserk frenzy while hugging someone... NAH.) up the base accuracy and lose the grasp and it might work. However it may be better to start from scratch as V.7 is taking the piss!!! How about calling it "RAMPAGE" and having it untargeted; by which i mean it selects a ramndom target each use?--Honestmistake 13:12, 5 August 2006 (BST)
  21. Kill Flares suck. Zombies don't need something similarly crappy. --Jon Pyre 21:07, 5 August 2006 (BST)
    • Tally -12 Keep, 9 Kill, 21 Total --Paradox244 W! TJ! 15:54, 5 August 2006 (BST)
  22. Spam - Incomplete idea. Nothing on XP gain from the attack. Nothing on effect of flak jackets. David Malfisto 01:32, 6 August 2006 (BST)
    • Is is assumed with most such suggestions that if not stated otherwise the XP is normal (8XP for a survivor hit, 4 for a zombie hit), and since it is a zombie attack, it is not effected by flak jackets. That is given. --Paradox244 W! TJ! 21:38, 6 August 2006 (BST)
  23. Keep - how much XP to buy it? can we assume 100?--Kiltric 02:57, 7 August 2006 (BST)
  24. Keep - Almost worthless w/o tangling grasp, but sounds fun enough to Slobber-claw someone.--Yourbonesakin 11:51, 7 August 2006 (BST)
  25. Keep - RNG will make this a son of a bitch. I can't wait --Rozozag 22:43, 7 August 2006 (BST)
