New Item: City Map

Type: New Item
Scope: Survivors
Description: City Maps are a new item.
  • Locations: Found in Schools.
  • Search Odds: Fifty percent of the former "book" search results (i.e. if formerly you would have found 10 books in 100 searches, now you find 5 books and 5 maps).
  • Function: Clicking on a City Map in your inventory opens a new window taking you to the suburb map corresponding to your current location. If you clicked on your Map while in Gulsonside you would get a new window: Gulsonside's map.
  • Utility: Helpful for those who don't metagame, esp. newbies. Helpful even for those who do, since you can now instantly access a map.
  • Zombies? Yes, zombies can read a Map in their inventory IF they have Memories of Life.

  5. Keep - The original intention may have been to keep people in the dark, but I see no reason to not give this item. Gives purpose to libraries. I would think that this should be an actual UD map, not visitmalton. I would encourage Kevan to use his own different format from what is in place on the various hosted maps, my ideas being arrange it with GPS co-ords running along the top and left instead of in the squares, and removing NT building and cell mast info. --Burgan 03:00, 7 August 2006 (BST)

(Like that is gonna happen...) If Kevan does choose an existing map, can he go with the currently "most full featured" map? Red Rum's map. Game Functionality: Contact Lists Sort

Type: Improvement, etc.
Scope: All Players.
Description: Instead of having the contacts list displayed as one bulky list; allow for 3 catagaories. When choosing to add a contact to your list of contacts, you are given the option of placing that contact in one of these three catagories; My Group, Friends & Enemies. This makes viewing a large contact list much easier. An additional functionality would be to have the names displayed in game differently. Either by three colors, or Bold Italics and underlined. So when in a grid you would see for example:

There are 16 other zombies present. You recognize "friend" (name in blue or underlined,) "Enemy" (name in red or bolded, "Group" (name in green or italics, etc.)

Seige Groan

Type: New zombie Skill
Scope: Groan of anger from attacking barricades
Description: Seige Groan

Appears on zombie skills tree as a subskill of "Feeding Groan", adds no benefits to your human characater.

Any time your zombie has spent 35 or more AP in a row attacking a barricade(without any other actions in between) and the barricade of the building you have been attacking is STILL not down... a button is available that says "Seige Groan" if you have this skill (costs 1 AP to use.)

  • This seige groan has a different pitch and volume than a feeding groan it is very loud, angered and abrupt:

"You hear a zombie scream in furious anger from (X), (Y)!" the seige moan is the same as a maximum range feeding groan (6 blocks!)

  • The message of intention of the zombie emitting the moan may mean "come here and help destroy this barricade!" or it may mean "This damn building has too many people barricading it, DON'T come here!" how you interpret this groan is up to you.
  • This groan has a different "sound" than the origional and it is meant for a different use, it also takes a lot longer to pull off.. but allows zombies some greater degree of passing information by distance to other zombies outdoors in the surrounding area.

This skill's intentions is to allow zombies to convey some degree of the only emotion they can express... anger. You also have to have feeding groan 1st just to but this skill, so it won't be available for so many zombie's until they have the spare XP to buy it.

It should add to the sights and sounds of Malton's streets.

Scope: People who hate spamedy spam spam.
Description: Currently when the radio transmitter is on everyone can hear it, right? well I say adding a new button to the game when in a building with a Radio Transmitter called "Volume control" with a dropdown menu with "Low" "Medium" and "High" as choices. By setting the transmitter to "Low" only you and the first 4 or 5 people can hear it. At "Medium" only you and 25 people can hear it. And at "High" it is basically the same as it is now.
