Fjord Prefect

Fjord Prefect Yay! I'd love to join the ELT. Currently, I don't have a mobile phone (though I do have a plenty of fuel cans) but I'll be SURE to get one as soon as possible. As for instrumentation, the melodica most certainlly! ;)

Hi, I'm one of the members, but not a leader, so I can't officially welcome you in yet, but between us, I don't think the leadership will say no. So, welcome and thanks for joining up--Bunnyofdoom 01:41, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
Welcome to the ELT, Fjord Prefect. I'm glad to see you here so soon. I hope you didn't get the impression that we are a super-hierarchical group, I like to see ourselves as a kind of family or brotherhood of light :-) I just put you on our official members list. Please create your own wiki userpage when you find the time, so we can update our list. And good luck leveling up. If you need anything, just ask one of us (like I said before) or read your way through our pages and archives. --Balcony JediELT|Talk! 12:12, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
Oh, I forgot: please always sign your wiki-posts by clicking on the second tab from the right just over the text window you're writing in. --Balcony JediELT|Talk! 12:19, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
Welcome, Fjord. If you haven't yet, add the rest of the group to your contacts. This is easy to do from our wiki group page, or members page. Also add [ (ELT) ] to the group name in your survivor's profile. Just check the rest of us in your contact list to see what I mean. --VidicateTELTDA 00:12, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

Hello Fjord. Are you still with us? I saw you got a new instrument of choice. --Balcony JediELT|Talk! 10:44, 15 March 2007 (UTC)

Bunnyofdoom

bunnyofdoom I wish to join this noble quest to enlighten Dulston. As of yet I do not have free running but I will get it the next level I gain. If you wish to put me on probation or something similar to that until I get free running, that is okay too.

Thank you for your time.--Bunnyofdoom 22:13, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

"Join this noble quest ...", that's nice. Do it. You're a member now. Initial training will be provided as soon as possible (particularly for leveling up soon). If you have a mobile phone already, feel free to contact me. If not, we will meet, somehow. Just make sure, you are in Dulston. Especially in a building on one of our tours, chances are high to meet one of us. Until that happens, you can think about what instrument you wanna play (apart from fuelcans and generators) in our Torchestra. -- PsychoLycheeELT 01:41, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
I do have a mobile phone, but I don't know how to add contacts cause I'm stupid at times. Also can I play the electric Acoustic Guitalyphone?--Bunnyofdoom 01:48, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
Guitalyphone's cool. Gives us a bit more of that rough "what-was-their-name-again"-sound, doesn't it? (If I want to add someone to my contacs, I log in, open the users profile in another browser window, click "add to contact list" at the bottom of the page and close that window again)--PsychoLycheeELT 08:53, 26 January 2007 (UTC)

Vidicate and Helplessvictim57

vidicate. I have a fuel can, woohoo. And lots of FAKs. How RP-friendly is the group? Just curious. At least if I join up with you guys I can look forward to getting Free Run and go Mall-ing. Currently as a Consumer I have to be a gimp medic to level up and Free Running adds less value to my early XP gain than Diagnosis. (Oh for a day when players can trade, my class would be a much more useful starting class for grouping.) Anywho, am I in?

My buddy, helplessvictim57, who is also new, is 1 or 2 suburbs South of us, and making his way up. Nice, he's lvl 4 with FR and Construction.--Vidicate 10:50, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

Hello strangers. The ELT is pleased to welcome both of you as their new members. Don't despair, young vidicate. Your XP will come, for some training will be provided as soon as possible. The same goes for your friend. Being with the ELT is not only fun (to a huge amount however), as there is some light work to do. Just in case, please be advised that schizophrenia is only tolerated under certain circumstances in Malton and will reportedly be cured automatically (very painful). If - considering this - your friend or even yourself would rather like to work somewhere else, just tell us. Now most importantly, tell us which instrument you wanna play (besides fuelcan and generator), put Balcony Jedi and me on your contact list (and get a mobile phone somewhere. That currently seems to be a hard job in Dulston without Free Running, perhaps you already own one?). Kind regards -- PsychoLycheeELT 21:02, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
I guess my buddy has lost interest in his scientist, hp57. He rolled a new survivor, Donkyhotay, some kind of human-zombie hybrid. He wouldn't make a good ELT member, but he's making his way up here because he knows I play in Dulston. Let's hope Dulston will be a better place with him around, or at least that he won't make it much worse. So, helplessvictim57 can be taken off the group roster. --Vidicate 23:49, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

Stoner24

Stoner24 Been wandering around Dulston for weeks now, lurking in the dark, smoking through my lengths of pipe, brooding on volatile uncertainty and broadly pondering the meaning of all things, but wrought only by apathy and indifference with no ambition, no motivation, no aspiration, no long term goals whatsoever. Who is there to follow? What is there to crave for? however... now I've got some skills under my belt I'm looking for a way to make better use of myself, at least until I find away to transcend the limits of thought! so it seems like you guys have something good going and I'd like to help out. I got a mobile phone and am fairly active. --Stoner24 16:05, 23 April 2007 (BST)

Sounds good, I'd say. Welcome to the team. Currently, only BunnyofDoom and me are active, so we need every man with enough skills to defend and maintain the Whitlock Building. Things you should do when you find the time: add the other members to your contacts, put our group's name in your profile like in ours, create a user-page on the wiki. Read through our pages (archives) to be up to date and register at the Dulston Alliance forum (http://z9.invisionfree.com/Dulston_Alliance). If you have any questions, post them on our discussion page. See you out there and good luck! --Balcony JediELT|Talk! 18:08, 23 April 2007 (BST)
Welcome indeed! As Balcony Jedi already pointed out it is true that the ELT is currently still a small group, but it is also a valued member of the Dulston Alliance for their continued services during and after the invasion of Mall Tour '07. As such, they have the full support of the entire Alliance and we wish them well in growing strong so that they can continue supporting us as much as the Alliance supports them. Good luck Stoner24 with your new and fulfilling career. :) --Mobius187 April 23 2007, 1:45 PM (EST)

ok, cool. I do have a user-page on the wiki, but its not that well edited because I only just made it. --Stoner24 22:34, 23 April 2007 (BST)

Group Wiki Update

As per your request, I wanted to formally inquire whether you wanted me to assist with revamping your group wikipage. Basically I would create a navigation system similar to those done on other DA group wikipages (i.e. RCDC). Below is a list of the wikipgaes (sub-pages) that I would create, where it would be located on the UD Wiki (the pages obviously do not exist yet so "red links"), and what headers would go there:

Let me know if you like these. Obviously the list for GKers is something you have discussed previously. If you would prefer instead to update only the Dulston Alliance Black List with such offenders, you can do that instead. Although I really should create a GKer section for it, since people naturally assume it's all PKers, and thus may say as much when executing someone from it when that's not the case. Anywho, let me know. I was thinking using a "light blue theme" for your wikipage if you agree to it. --Mobius187 March 8 2007, 12:53 PM (EST)

Hello Caleb. Thank you for the fast reply concerning the redesign of our pages (is the Light Map of Dulston page already somewhere in your plans?). I think our page could look very neat in blue. However, I would like to hear the comments of our other members, especially PsychoLychee's. As I mentioned before, he's currently not available due to a trip he's undertaking, and since he's the co-leader of our group and created our pages from srcatch (as a total wiki-newbie) I wouldn't want to pass him over. Would it be okay for you when we wait for his opinion? He or I will contact you as soon as possible. --Balcony JediELT|Talk! 18:19, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
Of course I can wait, my offer has no expiry date. And thanks for pointing out the Light Map of Dulston, as it was not in my original plans. I believe what I'll do is redesign that wikipage to match whatever theme you guys decide. What this will mean is that while it won't be grouped as a sub-page of The Electric Light Torchestra, like the others will be, at least all the current links to that wikipage will remain intact and we won't need to request a delete either. Later on you could always change your mind, but in that case all you would need to do is copy the wikipages contents to the new sub-page and then edit the navigation wikipage to point to it.
On a side note, I noticed that your Light Map was fairly large using a scale similar to the suburb map, but then reducing the link text for the location names. Have you considered possibly an even more slimmed down version? What I suggest is that instead of names just create a X,Y coordinate link to the real location, and mark special buildings accordingly (i.e. red cross = hospital, NT logo = NT building, badge = police station). I would suggest a colour scheme, but your light map already uses one for its own purposes. Let me know if you're interested in doing that (but by all means you do not need to). --Mobius187 March 8 2007, 5:02 PM (EST)

RE: Dulston Alliance

FYI, I spoke with members of Dead vs Blue and have spurred them into taking a renewed look at the Dulston Alliance membership requests. I figured I could count on the DvB, and I was right. So right now they're preparing to cast votes on several groups, including yours. Now the only drawback for you guys is the low membership numbers (4) as I think they are expecting groups to have at least 10 members (i.e. confirmed group), but I've asked them to overlook this due to the important public service your group provides the area.

As I am not a member of the Alliance I actually have no say in the matter, but I hope you guys get in... and then I can go around updating the wiki, and hey, maybe I'll even see about updating your group wikipage (if you want me to). --Mobius187 February 21 2007, 9:11 AM (EST)

FYI, the voting process has been interrupted by Mall Tour '07, but so far it looked positive for you guys and the DITPS. --Mobius187 February 27 2007, 8:18 AM (EST)
READ ME: Voting has ended, although delays were caused by Mall Tour '07, and I have been informed to advise you that the Electric Light Torchestra membership request into the Dulston Alliance has been accepted. Arrangements are currently being made in the Alliance forum to provide you with your own section and you will be contacted about access to the restricted section (for Member Groups only), as the rest of the forum is open to the public.
Here is all you need to do for the time being, confirm that you accept admittance into the Dulston Alliance. If so, I will begin updating the Wiki (Dulston suburb and DA group) accordingly. If you require further assistance at that time with your group wikipage just let me know. While I am not an official member of the Alliance I am more than willing to help out its member groups. As to why I'm not a member, well, Caleb's under contract with NecroTech... ;) --Mobius187 March 7 2007, 11:54 AM (EST)

We're glad to hear that we're now part of the Dulston Alliance and proudly accept the membership. I already put the official banner on our main page and registered for the DA-Forum (waiting for our own group section there). To all ELT members: please register at the Dulston Alliance Forum soon to show them we care. PsychoLychee is currently on a trip in another sphere so it might take some time till he rejoins us. We're gonna maintain that section but we will also not neglect our whole wiki-pages which we love. We'll try our best to recruit more members to meet the desired minimum of ten members. I hope I did everything that was necessary right now. If you, Caleb, should want to change anything on our pages, please inform us beforehand. Finally: Many thanks go to said Caleb (Mobius187) for everything he did for us (and still does, I guess). We appreciate your help and advice! --Balcony JediELT|Talk! 13:35, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

Dulston Alliance Forum
Just wanted to let you know that your own section has been created on the Dulston Alliance Forums here. Welcome to the DA. -- Cheeser, DvB|DA   17:00, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

Dulston Infection Treatment and Prevention Squad

We would love to form an alliance with you, our group has been going since December but we are still looking for members and working hard to become a great group in Dulston and make Malton a better place. Sorry for the late response, as I forget to check our talk page, i just mainly scroll through the article page, haha. -- Flyte

Yay. More allies!--PsychoLycheeELT 06:18, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

Red Army

No pking hurrah I commend your attitude to pking. Although our small barricading group - Red Army - is not near Dulston now, would you like to form an alliance? In case our paths should cross in the future at some time of need....GrownUpSurvivor 22:28, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

Sure -- PsychoLychee 19:51, 8 January 2007 (UTC)

Marvellous --GrownUpSurvivor 19:55, 8 January 2007 (UTC) Red Army

Dentonside Power

Sure, Dentonside Power like allies. --TTHSK 00:43, 8 January 2007 (UTC)

And we say mille grazie. Or something. -- PsychoLychee 00:52, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

Power For The People

What he said. PFTP would be more than happy, I'll alert the other member. Sorry I'm so late getting back to you, one day I'll put that page on my watchlist...--Labine50 MH|ME|P 22:03, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

(One day...) Sorry I'm late with the repsonse, (Again) Nice quote, I created an "Allies" section, now that we have one. ... Nothing? Well, I though that line was funny...--Labine50 MH|ME|P 03:27, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

okay... "ha ha"! We appreciate your efforts. -- PsychoLychee 00:51, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

It's officially official, PFTP is gone like Michael Jackson's nose, <Pause for laughter> and the page has been turned into more of a historical thing with a bit of neat info on what PFTP had done. Sorry for putting you through that, by the way. Good luck in Dulston.--Labine50 MH|ME|'07 02:52, 12 March 2007 (UTC)

Ragnarok

Two things. One, I was wondering if you guys would like to form an alliance? Ragnaroks main goal right now in Dulston is to maintain the Hammerton revive point, so powered necro buildings are a help.

Secondly however, I have a small problem to address. Could you please inform your members not to tag over our tags in the cinema and necrotech building? Any where else is fine, free country. But Ragnarok's base of ops is in the cinema, and the second base of ops is in the Trood Necrotech building.

My tag was sprayed over once by you guys, but I didnt mind much, cause I hoped it was a one time thing. But it has happened twice more now and I am getting tired of wasting spray cans to repeatedly tag over your guys tags to put mine up again, so please, consider it. --x Eir x Ragnarok

Sorry. We are currently on an extreme recruiting mission. Our maketing strategy obviously contains too much spraypainting. We will restructure our budget-plan, probably enforcing more the verbal than written communication. Be advised however, that those spraypaintings sometimes do not come from our members but simply from some fans. We cannot control our fans, but I'll surely inform our members about that.
In fact, I already did consider an alliance with you, but with the Dulston Chapter. You're now on our List of Allies, and we are proud to welcome you there.--PsychoLycheeELT 23:26, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, I completely understand about the spraypainting thing, I just dont want to have to keep looking for more spraycans every few days, lol. But yeah, its hard getting a group started, so I understand. ;) Ill go add you guys to the allies list too. :) Good luck with the recruitment! -- x Eir x Ragnarok

SLRF

I hear Dandy Motha, of our group The Survivor Liberation and Retaliation Front, ran into you guys while holing up in the Trood building? He also said that BalconyJedi extended an invite for alliance when they met up later. We will gladly take you up on the offer, and hope that our groups can work together in the future! --Sid Istik 06:46, 27 January 2007 (UTC)

Jedi, our slaughtering hero, and Dandy Motha seem to have done a great job there in Trood. We're glad to have you as a partner when it comes to the crunch.--PsychoLycheeELT 11:35, 27 January 2007 (UTC)

MMI

Hmmm, i'd like that. Maybe we could hold a concert somewhere ;) and we could help with charity causes in red zones. hehehe -Bassist55 09:40, 3 May 2007 (BST)
