Sig Problems Boxy?

no whats going on is where you enter code for your sig the text box is smaller.. so if you have a bunch of code. you are fucked. like boxy and I... I can only enter about half of it now. and the small date/time thing does not work with template sigs.----

Oh I see. Well you can have a templated sig but subst it. For example here is preferences: {{subst:User:Vapor/sig}} {{subst:LOCALTIME}}, {{subst:LOCALDAY}} {{subst:LOCALMONTHNAME}} {{subst:LOCALYEAR}}. So the code for my sig is stored on User:Vapor/sig but when I sign, the code is subst'd and the template isn't called. ~

fixed i just added the time code stuff to my sig code with . and left the image stuff as a template. great now I get to keep the look i wanted. remeber this is how I wanted it in the first place.. win!----

As long as you always sign with ~~~ instead of ~~~~ (inserting just the sig without the timestamp, thus avoiding double time stamps), it should work splendid. Not sure if it would work properly with templated sigs, though. -- Spiderzed █ 14:25, 22 April 2011 (BST)

Karloth

I just thought I'd come here and point out that all of Karloth's VD is pretty much non-harmful editing and thus a perfect example of what a lot of us spent years getting on Izzy for reporting as vandalism. I don't feel like bringing it up in the A/VB drama but I did think you'd appreciate and be able to see the similarities in how he was escalated and why so many of the admin team frequently clashed with Iscariot for reporting based on strict letter. It's a good example of why Judgement and Spirit is still part of the enforcement rules and what happens when they're removed. --Karek^maps?! 04:31, 23 March 2011 (UTC)

Yeah, but that judgement cuts both ways. I appreciate the arguement in the case of his editing of the PK page. But the rest (other than the humourous suggestions one) seem to be the fault of his friends. Perhaps he should choose different ones to mess with, ones who wont report him to A/VB for the lolz. If a third party had reported him for either of the last two, I would have said, "meh, not vandalism, they do that shit". But when the participants themselves go out of their way to make us make a decision... we have to. The problem is that the smart arses (and yeah, that includes Karloth, and everyone who reports him) are doing this to "promote anarchy" (or some other similar "non-conformist" form of kewl). I appreciate it as an ingame roleplaying tool, and to an extent in their wiki contributions. But that's an intergroup or interpersonal interaction thing. You can't do it with templated signatures. In my preferences => User profile => Nickname I have:
