Suggestion description
Introduction: This is a revision of a suggestion that was "undecided" which removes the most commonly disliked aspect of that previous suggestion.
Suggestion: This suggestion is for a sub-skill of free-running. If you had this new skill, you would always have and be able to successfully use the "exit building" option, even in buildings over VSB. Exiting in this fashion would cost 0 AP's. There would be no change to which buildings you can enter, or the AP cost to do so.
Justification: It currently costs 0APs to exit a building in most cases already; you click on an empty square next to the building, and move to that square, exiting and moving for only 1 AP rather than 2. However, people who do NOT have free-running can use this same type of "move and exit" when moving from the inside of a building to the outside of an adjacent building; its the only option they have. This new skill would give those with free running the ability to move to all the same locations as those without free-running for the same AP cost as those without free-running, although they do so in a slightly improved (and hence more skilled) fashion.

Keep Votes
- Keep. - Maybe I'm being reckless, but I quite like this. To be honest I'm a little surprised that other people don't.--Seventythree 22:02, 29 May 2007 (BST)
- I'm surprised as well; it is almost a direct copy of the previous version, which got 18 keeps and 13 kills. All I did was keep the bits most people liked, and ax a bit maybe half the kill voters disliked. And yet now we have twoo people who voted keep on the other, voting kill here. Well, that's democracy for yah. --Seb_Wiers Imagine 23:59, 29 May 2007 (BST)
- Keep I like it. In suburbs that are survivor controlled, it can be pretty hard to find a way out of a building. With this never have to worry again :). A dǝǝɥs oʇ ɯɐds: sʎɐʍ1ɐ! 00:27, 30 May 2007 (BST)
- keep free-running is overpowered as it is but it would be churlish of me to vote kill because of that. Personally i hate that u can exit any building by just clicking the empty space next to it. Any idiot can drop out of a 1st floor window with relative ease and safety and given that zeds can't fly or climb there is no reason why they would be caded! keep this kill to the existing exit method i say! --Honestmistake 14:56, 31 May 2007 (BST)
#Change This is keep right now, but I agree with most of the kill votes. Make the simple change of making it cost 1 AP and you'll have the support of virtually the whole wiki. unsigned vote removed - BzAli 11:58, 6 June 2007 (BST)
Kill Votes
- Kill - Well. I'd like to note "Why" concern. The only purpose i see for this is to have a look at outside of the building - for example in siege situation: check zombie numbers, check if there are players from your list among them - known enemies or willing revive allies, check spray tag, and so on. Currently to do this the shortest way is to step to adjusted empty block and back to this. With your suggestion these 2 AP are removed and written above information is quite easier to gain. If person is a reviver that stepped outside heading to revive point - he just gets it for free. I don't like it. If building is heavily barricaded - there should be cost to leave it. --Duke GarlandTLCD SSZ 22:16, 27 May 2007 (BST)
- In that specific situation, you would save 2 AP out of the total cost spent to leave the building, do whatever you were doing out there (maybe just gathering info) and then move to another entry point (because you likely can't enter the building you just left). Nobody is just gonna step outside and stay there. Its a saving, but I don't see it as a large or abusable one; there's already lots of skills that save you much more than 2 AP. Like, say, ANY of the combat skills, that make it cost less AP to kill somebody. --Seb_Wiers VeM 12:48, 28 May 2007 (BST)
- Kill - See reasons above. Free running is by far cool as it is, little reason to add more benefits to it. - BzAli 22:34, 27 May 2007 (BST)
- Kill - I didn't like the 0AP cost last time, and it's still there, so it gets the same vote -- boxy T L ZS Nuts2U DA 01:14, 28 May 2007 (BST)
- Kill - I just don't see a need for this or how it would make the game more interesting. - Black Mask 01:32, 28 May 2007 (BST)
- Kill I agree with BM. 0 AP is not necesary. How about you make it cost 1 AP? And expand: being able to enter any building regardless of barricadation would be a worthy subskill of Free Running. --Secruss 04:13, 28 May 2007 (BST)
Kill - But only because it's a free action. Make it 1 AP and you'll have my vote. --Uncle Bill 06:22, 28 May 2007 (BST)- RE: You voted 'Keep' on the original suggestion which allowed both exits AND entries for 0 AP. Why the change of heart? Just wondering as I posted this revision because it seemed to be what most people wanted from the previous version, and assumed people who liked the original would like this one also. --Seb_Wiers VeM 12:52, 28 May 2007 (BST)
- RE: Re: Ah, so I did... and I'm all for the concept of being able to exit an EHB building, but I don't see why it should be free? I'll abstain for now. (Also, if someone can show me how to strike votes without breaking the numbering, please leave a message on my talk page.) --Uncle Bill 20:50, 29 May 2007 (BST)

- Kill - As above. --Sonofagun18 10:06, 28 May 2007 (BST)
- Kill - It's a move, it should have an AP cost.--Vista +1 12:27, 28 May 2007 (BST)
- Kill - I liked the original suggestion better. Agreed with Vista that it should have an AP cost, if not, this will make the game very unbalanced. Unsigned vote. --T 16:55, 29 May 2007 (BST)
- As those above. --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 13:30, 31 May 2007 (BST)
