Suggestion description
This suggestion is to make a new Skill under Military (maybe having free running as pre-requisite?), know as Climbing, who will let survivors, with the new item Grabbing Rope, to enter buildings at EB using 3-5 APs and IPs.
This suggestion was meant to help survivors who come back to their safehouse just to know that someone barricadded up to VSB+2, to prevent anyone from entering, so, with low APs left, what the survivor do? he takes out his Grabbing Rope, launches it to the building and enter, probably with negative APs but, hey, he's inside his safehouse, where he will probably be safe, at least for a while...
And, of course, this skill would not work in forts, to prevent people from barricading too much the gatehouse, and by doing it, nerfing zombies.
Grabbing Rope would be found at Hardware Stores (at 1% rate) and fire stations too (at 5% rate)and would have 4% encumbrance.
Please note that all those % and APs are negotiable.
This would be a later skill, that could be used in some situations only, if the building is more barricadded than EB+2, this skill wouldn't take effect.
Thanks, hope I made this suggestion right.

EDIT: Of course, people without the skill wouldn't be able to enter the building this way, forgot to say that.

Keep Votes

  1. Keep - Author Vote --LeChuckBR 20:13, 30 June 2007 (BST)
  2. Keep - This was going to be kill until a certain somebody brought the griefer tactic of over barricading entry points deliberately. I now fully support this (because that is a completely out-of-character action, and only work against very low-level characters without free running. Screw anybody who uses it.) In reality, though, this could work but has kinks to work out and I shouldn't really be keeping this, so when it inevitably winds up in Peer Rejected take it to Talk:Suggestions --Magentaine 22:33, 30 June 2007 (BST)
  3. Keep - why not? Seems fairly harmless. Actually, we just want there to be more skills available. Level 257, anyone? --Crabappleslegalteam 03:27, 1 July 2007 (BST)
  4. Plausible - It's a fairly good idea, I mean, Military units ARE trained to enter buildings via climbing in. I'm not too sure about it though, because although it may be real, it may mess up the balance of the game. The assumption here for kill votes is that all the expert players will overcade and this will result in large newbie deaths. This means that VSB buildings will still serve a purpose, and since the AP cost is higher for climbing in, VSB buildings will still have a purpose. Why not? -- EchelonThree 04:39, 1 July 2007 (BST)
  5. keep - I think you mean grappling rope, and it is something along the lines of one of my old suggestions. I don't like the ip being affected too though... - Werewolf32 08:39, 1 July 2007 (BST)
  6. Keep/Change - if ropes will be 1-time-use and hard to find... --Duke GarlandTLCD SSZ 11:03, 1 July 2007 (BST)
  7. Keep/Change - It's a nice idea, but it doesn't have enough downsides. The rope should be a one use item and a player should not be able to go into negative APs by entering a building in this way. Or something like that. --Ju Ju Master 22:24, 1 July 2007 (BST)
  8. Keep- Hell, why not? Seems fairly harmless. As a certified n00b, It's great for people without the free running skill.BoboTalkClown 13:16, 12 July 2007 (BST)
  9. Keep - i think this would be a good idea as long as if there is 5+ zombies are outside then you can't do it and you can only do it to -1 AP or else you fail, fall, die. bank1 18:35, 12 July 2007 (GMT)

Kill Votes

  1. Clarify -Is this one-use-only or an infinite-use item? because if it's one use then those search rates are way to low and/or the AP cost is to high. --AlexanderRM 22:02, 30 June 2007 (BST)
Re: It is supossed to be a infinite-use item, but if too much people complain about it, I can make a new suggestion with one-use only items, with another
search rates. I totally forgot to add that to the description, thanks for reminding me. --LeChuckBR 22:37, 30 June 2007 (BST)
  2. Nerf - Nerf of Death-Culting. If survivors can bypass 'cades, what's the point of overbarricading entry points? --User:Axe27/Sig 22:21, 30 June 2007 (BST)
RE: You can only bypass cades at EB, so overbarricading still work as usual --LeChuckBR 22:37, 30 June 2007 (BST)
  3. Kill - Takes the fun out of Trenchcoating aspect of the game. Honestly, wouldn't you rather that Trenchie get stuck outside an eaten than hear him say "Oh I just killed 4 zombies! I rule!"?-- dǝǝɥs ɯɐds: sʎɐʍ1ɐ! 22:28, 30 June 2007 (BST)
  4. Kill - This takes away the challenge of needing entry points. Vault 01:49, 1 July 2007 (BST)
  5. Kill - This would make it even harder for newbies to find entry points, because high level players wouldn't need them -- boxy T L ZS Nuts2U DA 02:05, 1 July 2007 (BST)
  6. Kill - As boxy. armareum 02:29, 1 July 2007 (BST)
  7. Kill -- No! Bad! Wrong! -- Firemanrik 12:24, 1 July 2007 (BST)
  8. Kill - As armareum -- Vista  +1  14:29, 1 July 2007 (BST)
  9. Kill - Boxy makes a great point above... if this were allowed, newbs would get screwed. No way. --Ryiis 16:31, 1 July 2007 (BST)
  10. Kill - Again, Boxy is exactly correct; too big a chance of newb nerfing. Plus, EVERYTHING would be at ESB now; what would be the point of entry points? --Aguyuno 17:00, 1 July 2007 (BST)
  11. Kill - It would make the game even harder for new players.--Seventythree 17:23, 1 July 2007 (BST)
  12. Kill - For all the reasons stated above. - BzAli 22:03, 1 July 2007 (BST)
  13. Kill - Poor newbies, with all of those EH barricaded buildings everywhere. --Ducis DuxSlothTalk 04:42, 4 July 2007 (BST)
  14. As above. And is this suppose to be a ripeoff of those Escape Ropes from Pokemon games? Wow. --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs

Spam/Dupe Votes

  1. Spam - Entry points dude. You could barricade strafe a whole suburb and never have to have a VS building, evar. Bad news written all over this. --Sonny Corleone RRF CoL DORIS Hunt! 03:44, 1 July 2007 (BST)
  2. Spam - Barricades having no downside what so ever? No, Don't think so. Don't up barricades by removing the HB no entry rule, it's there for a reason.--karek 15:35, 1 July 2007 (BST)
  3. Think of the poor newbies! - Whole suburbs would be EHB because of grappling ropes! And barricades are meant to have a downside --Wooty 18:17, 1 July 2007 (BST)
