20070718 Empty Clip
Swordfish2 18:28, 18 July 2007 (BST)
Suggestion type
New action, to help save time and save the beating we're giving are mouses.
Suggestion scope
Attacking with ranged weapons (shotgun, pistol)
Suggestion description
So this is a easy add-on really. Right next to the weapon drop down is a "Empty clip" Button. What this button does is add the ability to shoot all 6 or 2 rounds in your pistol/shotgun. It still uses the same AP and gives the same EXP it just lets do it all in one click. After the attack it will display your results in a list, at the bottom it will show your total damage. If you click the button and a player moves then you save your ammo and lose only one AP.
Screen shot
In the screen shot is shows PKing but i'm NOT PKer i just used it as a example.
I want this because i get sick of clicking the attack button over and over. This would just make it easier for us all.

Keep Votes
- Keep - Fewer clicks needed means a better interface, especially when the game's going a bit slow. -- T 03:55, 31 July 2007 (BST)
- Keep - Don't see any good reason for not having it in UD, but I do see that it will increase the longevity of my mouse.--Sachaztan 09:39, 31 July 2007 (BST)
Kill Votes
- Kill - I'm not to sure. I really hate the idea of computer-fighting. Besides, if I'm having bad luck I like to quit no matter what instead of wasting my ammo so the Empty Click would just be wasting my ammo. Plus people would spam this to get a ton of damage done in a short time.--Heavy DDR 18:58, 18 July 2007 (BST)
- Kill - I agree with Heavy, automated fighting is a bad idea. Studoku 19:38, 18 July 2007 (BST)
- Kill What about those 1 in 100 chances, when you log in just as some sod is shooting at you and you run away just in time?--Seventythree 20:32, 18 July 2007 (BST)
- Kill Its really not needed, but if it's important to you, check the Bookmarklets article. You can use the linked to bookmarklet to "empty your clip", although it really is only worth the effort when you want to make 6+ attacks. (An extension could use similar code but with a simpler interface, with no need to manually enter the 4 variables you get prompted for by that Bookmarklet.) . . . swiers 23:46, 18 July 2007 (BST)
- Kill - One of the minor effects of the time it takes to kill someone is that they can log in, see that they are being attacked, and leave. This would make it much less likely for that to happen. --Saluton 01:07, 19 July 2007 (BST)
- Kill - Automated fighting is a very bad thing... --Charley C. 03:18, 19 July 2007 (BST)
- Kill - I can't find it anywhere, but there is something written somewhere that explains why each action has to be one at at time - and it's to do with the live combat scenarios outlined in people's comments. So, as Duke. And it's 'our' not 'are', by the way. 'arm. 03:22, 19 July 2007 (BST)
- Kill - Mheh, I can't see why. it's not as if it's that much work to actually hit a button-- Vista +1 11:08, 19 July 2007 (BST)
- Kill - Keep It Simple Smartie - Just hit 'ze button --Ryiis 19:09, 19 July 2007 (BST)
- Kill - More damage just by clicking a button once = Speed Action = bad. -- Nob666 22:42, 19 July 2007 (BST)
Spam/Dupe Votes
- Spam - no taking away "online" parts of the pseudo-online mechanics of UD, please. --Duke GarlandTLCD SSZ 20:06, 18 July 2007 (BST)
- Spam - Is it that hard to capitalize an I? Honestly? Anyway, if you don't want to take the time, fine. Don't attack. Thing is, there isn't really much for this suggestion, other than showing that you're impatient.-- dǝǝɥs oʇ ɯɐds: sʎɐʍ1ɐ! 20:19, 18 July 2007 (BST)
- Dupe - This is already covered under the "Speed Actions" section on the "Frequently Suggested" page (link: http://wiki.urbandead.com/index.php/Frequently_Suggested). You might want to read that page before submitting another suggestion if you have not already.--Pdeq 07:23, 19 July 2007 (BST)
- It's Voltron! - That squeaking noise means you need to oil your bot.--Karekmaps?! 09:50, 19 July 2007 (BST)
- Spam - AP must equal IP. That means if you're doing 6 ap worth of stuff in 1 IP, bad. --Sonny Corleone RRF CoL DORIS CRF pr0n 14:20, 19 July 2007 (BST)
- Spam -- Lurk moar. --Firemanrik 21:02, 19 July 2007 (BST)
