20071008 Prevent Free Running from Ruined Buildings

Slicer 03:08, 8 October 2007 (BST)

Suggestion type
Skill Change

Suggestion scope
Free Running

Suggestion description
Prevent Free Running coming from ruined buildings, much as Free Running is prevented going into them. Survivors attempting to do so will get the message "You slip on the ruined surface as you attempt to free run from the building, and end up outside the building you were aiming for."

This suggestion came about from looking through the Barhah.com forums; apparently Ruin is more useful to survivors than zombies. Allowing Z's to use it to corrupt the Free Running network by knocking out entry points will add a new element of strategy.

Keep Votes

  1. Keep Author vote. Slicer 03:27, 8 October 2007 (BST)
  2. Keep Actually, I don't think it'd break the game. Just re-designate entry points when that happens, or use junkyards. Not so hard, folks. --Howard Bentley 20:30, 8 October 2007 (BST)
  3. Wow Survivors really spaz out at this. Here, I think I have an idea that will benifit everyone. BoboTalkClown 22:22, 8 October 2007 (BST)

Kill Votes

  1. Kill - Oh hell no. Would make it a lot harder to defend a place, especially a mall, if you can't freerun around the place. Knock out the EP and revived survivors can't get in to add to the meatshield. Also isn't 100% realistic. Clearing a bit of the rubble would make it perfectly easy to have a nice point to jump from. Not a clear enough spot? Improvise, find a sturdy table to leap from.--  AHLGTG THE END IS NIGH! 03:14, 8 October 2007 (BST)
I keep on forgetting about all the carebears in this game. I'm sorry, Tenderheart, I'll put more flowers and rainbows in my next one. Slicer 04:13, 8 October 2007 (BST)
Its actually Cuddlypuddly but thats ok.--  AHLGTG THE END IS NIGH! 00:06, 9 October 2007 (BST)
  2. KILL - For the love of God, don't make a siege impossible. All the zombies would have to do is ruin the surrounding buildings. When there are over 200 zombies involved in a siege, it would be easy to keep the buildings ruined - the only way into the building would have to be VSB. Break-ins would be more frequent and larger. Survivors would be crippled. Antitribu 03:46, 8 October 2007 (BST)
  3. Kill- As Antitribu and Target Zombie, this would render survivors near helpless even when just a few buildings are ruined.--Vkkhamul 03:48, 8 October 2007 (BST)
  4. kill no.--SeventythreeTalk 07:50, 8 October 2007 (BST)
  5. Kill - Sorry dude. Think on the survivors!--  Savant  Chit-Chat  08:35, 8 October 2007
  6. Kill (with fire)As the other people said, this would make a seige impossible to defend against.Studoku 19:18, 8 October 2007 (BST)

  3. Spam ... because it'd totally BREAK the game... into a bazzilion tiny, blood-soaked pieces... making it not merely more difficult for survivors, but downright impossible... for the reasons discussed by others above. this suggestion is authentic spam --WanYao 04:53, 8 October 2007 (BST)
