Suggestion type
Deaths related to suicides and Pks.
Suggestion scope
Survivors.
Suggestion description
Suicides and Pks should not cause a survivor to turn into a zombie. When ever a survivor commits suicide or is killed by another player, his body will become a corpse. Instead of standing up as a zombie, he will stand up as a survivor with medium to low health (this can be determined later).
I would now like to address two issues: the mode of travel for the virus and the why these changes are necessary.
The Virus Is Not Airborne! First, there are two types of zombies: reanimated corpses or a human being infected with a rabies like virus. Because there are no Harry Potters in Urban Dead, it has to be the later type of zombie. Now, anyone with even a basic biology knowledge knows that once a virus infects a person, it immediately begins to affect our bodies. Thus, if the virus is airborne, everyone survivor would immediately be a zombie. So we can now narrow down the mode of transfer to exchange of bodily fluids. This is why a person must be biten or infected with some type of the zombie's fluid (ex. blood). If someone has been killed by another person or by suicide they have not been in contact with a zombie and thus cannot become a zombie.
Zombies Are Over Powered! Currently, it takes at the least 12 AP (this is extremely uncommon to be this efficient)combined to revive a human when he becomes a zombie and only 2 or 3 AP to revive a zombie when he becomes a human. This is extremely lopsided. Also, the only way for a human force to defeat a zombie mop is for the zombies to get bored and leave. This suggestion just levels the playing field a bit and does not drastically hurt any playing style.
Thanks for reading.
P.S. Do not spam for airborne virus. That is ignorant and annoying.

Keep - Sorry dude; but I have seen suggestions like this before, they never fly. Well; you get a keep from me for trying, better luck next time.--Jamie Cantwel3 07:59, 12 April 2008 (BST)
Kill Votes
- kill - We have all come in contact with the undead at one time or another. If you start a character, and jump out of a window, you are infected. Imagine how much zombie blood has been spilled on the ground where you land. Several years worth. You get shot to death, you land on a dirty floor. Every building has been ransacked at least once, so the entire surface of the floor is covered with the infection. Junkyards are even worse. Zombies clawing at fences, all the gore that is stuck on the fence. You touched all that when you came in. Not on purpose, but you couldn't help it. -doc crook 04:40, 12 April 2008 (BST)
- Re - Uhhh...after being exposed to air long enough virus die, they do not live forever.--Leviathan37 05:29, 12 April 2008 (BST)
- kill - no offense, but this is rubbish. Not a single person jumps off a building, dies, and stands back up, miraculously coming back to life. Impossible. --Catcher In The Rye 04:54, 12 April 2008 (BST)
- Re - then explain how zombies can stand right back up after taking 50 shotgun shells and still be able to use its arms and legs.--Leviathan37 05:29, 12 April 2008 (BST)
- Kill - I agree that zombies are currently overpowered compared to survivors, but a person who jumps out of a window isn't going to become a person with less health. That doesn't make sense in any way. It's not the way to rectify the situation of the current zombie/survivor situation. But people, no name calling okay? Leviathan37, you might want to run potential suggestions through Talk:Discussion before bringing them to a vote - I've found it really helpful myself. --Tselita 05:44, 12 April 2008 (BST)
- Re - Thanks for the advice--Leviathan37 05:54, 12 April 2008 (BST)
- Kill - We don't need to have things be exactly the same as the Romero canon. --Pgunn 07:51, 12 April 2008 (BST)
Spam/Dupe Votes
- Spam - Sorry, but you are the ignorant and annoying one, first you don't die and stand as a survivor, second EVERYONE in Malton is infected, third you forgot to remove the template. (which I did for you.) --FXI 04:25, 12 April 2008 (BST)
- Re - I explained that if your infected you become a zombie. Look at 28 Days Later and Dawn of the Dead. Drrrrrrrrr. Also, I am pretty inexperienced at wikipedia pages so excuse my errors.
- Re - You see, UD zombies are unique, in dawn of the dead and 28dl you can't bring a zombie back to life, here you can, and you don't see Mrh? cows in the above films indicating they don't have memories of life. The exact nature of the virus is open to debate but we do know that it is passive when the person is alive, taking over only when the heart stops and going passive when said heart starts again. --FXI 05:53, 12 April 2008 (BST)
- Re This is a legitamite question. Where are you finding all this information on the virus?--Leviathan37 06:15, 12 April 2008 (BST)
- Spam I'm spamming because its a whiny survivor buff. Don't want to be a zombie? Don't play the fucking game, try Nexus Wars or something. And since your new here, I rethought what I was GOING to say and I'm being nice.--Pesatyel 05:46, 12 April 2008 (BST)
- Re - I think it is the zombies who are whining. They just dont want to spend the extra time doing what survivors spend half the time doing. So SUCK IT.--Leviathan37 05:54, 12 April 2008 (BST)
- REing every vote is abuse. Somebody remove this (I would if I thought I wouldn't screw it up, lol). And, since your being a total dick, don't be surprised if everyone treats you like one asshole. Try PLAYING a zombie some time jerk. Survivors have a MUCH easier time playing.--Pesatyel 06:41, 12 April 2008 (BST)
- Spam - Zombies are not overpowered (it's their superior numbers which are overpowering survivors, in much the same way as survivors have zombies for 99% of this game's history) and this suggestion is game-breaking. FYI, continual use of 're' against negative votes is considered hostile and a form of vandalism. --The Hierophant 05:58, 12 April 2008 (BST)
- Re - I am not trying to be mean but I feel that I should voice my opinion on why I believe in something. To answer your respone, if there was one zombie versus one human the zombie would always win.--Leviathan37 06:11, 12 April 2008 (BST)
- Re - Not if he was smart. Using his daily AP on barricades and finding FAKs would guarantee that that single zombie could not kill him. --The Hierophant 06:14, 12 April 2008 (BST)
- Re - But tell me. Could the human ever win??--Leviathan37 06:20, 12 April 2008 (BST)
- Re - This game is not about 'winning'. It is an eternal stalemate. Only asinine stupidity could ever cause a 'win'. All this is beside the point of course. Your suggestion does not fit the game mechanics and would give survivors an instant and unjustifiable way to avoid zombification. It's like a mass healing/reviving buff and would literally destroy the game. --The Hierophant 06:40, 12 April 2008 (BST)
- Re - How does this prevent survivors from becoming zombies. This only stops people who want to become zombies. Maybe we should make a jump into window so zombies can become humans how about that. Would that be fair.--Leviathan37 06:54, 12 April 2008 (BST)
- Re - I am not trying to be mean but I feel that I should voice my opinion on why I believe in something. To answer your respone, if there was one zombie versus one human the zombie would always win.--Leviathan37 06:11, 12 April 2008 (BST)
- Spam - Dead things don't come back to life. Zombies aren't alive, they're undead; hence, everyone who dies becomes undead. It's the entire game mechanic. Also, http://wiki.urbandead.com/index.php/Frequently_Suggested#Infection_Immunity.2FReviving_Yourself --Shigogouhou 06:36, 12 April 2008 (BST)

- Spam - You're already infected, and I say it's evolution not a virus, note Scent Death which once gained gives benefits even when revived. You're Human 2.0--Karekmaps?! 07:00, 12 April 2008 (BST)
- Spam - Romero zombies, etc. This is stupid and doubly stupid for suicides. --Riseabove 07:07, 12 April 2008 (BST)
- Spam - When you die, you die. The only reason you can stand up at all is because you become a zombie. If you're not infected, and someone shoots you, you just die. No standing as a survivor. --PdeqTalk* 07:22, 12 April 2008 (BST)
- Spam - Hmm... maybe remove zombies at all... some say something about zombie apocalypse, but - who cares? -- 07:23, 12 April 2008 (BST)
- SPAM - you don't stand up as a human after killing yourself or getting killed. Oh heck no. Don't try to nerf PKers. If you couldn't kill yourself, combat revives would be used to grief zombies to force them to kill each other. No. No no no. Eew. --Jasonjason 08:35, 12 April 2008 (BST)
- Spam - Wtf? This has to be a joke. There is no way that this would ever get into the game. -- Cheese 08:50, 12 April 2008 (BST)
