Spaminated with 8 Spams, 1 Kill, and 1 Keep. Most voters thought that the suggestion was completely unnecessary and out of place. –Bob Hammero Mod•B'crat•T•A 07:26, 30 June 2006 (BST)

Brain Rot on Stats Page - (the standing part)
Timestamp: | 06:13, 30 June 2006 (BST) |
Type: | stats page improvement |
Scope: | just the stats page |
Description: | as it stands today, the stat page appears as such:
I propose that a new statistic be added, Brain Rotters. This would count the number of zombies (not survivors) that have brainrot, whether or not they are currently "dead." I think this would be a nice counter to the Standing Zombie Hunters stat, and would be a good general indicator of the health of the game |

- Keep Like the idea. May be a dupe though. --Jon Pyre 06:20, 30 June 2006 (BST)
- Keep - I don't know how useful, strictly speaking, this would actually be, but it would be interesting, at least. I'm generally a pro-statistics guy. Knowledge is power and so on. --Jimbo Bob ASS•U! 06:25, 30 June 2006 (BST)
- Keep - It will give us a nice approximation to the number of dedicated zombie players out there, and not just Mrh? cows. --Matthew Fahrenheit 07:07, 30 June 2006 (BST) Edit: Actually, users like Labine50 may learn a bit how real zombie numbers are and diminish some of his enormous bias with that. --Matthew Fahrenheit 07:09, 30 June 2006 (BST)
- Re - my thoughts exactly --talk 07:15, 30 June 2006 (BST)
- Keep -Someone mention my name? I know, I'm working on the bias, but at the moment, I really don't see why zombies are having such a hard time. (Yes, I have tryed a zombie character).--Labine50 MHG|MalTel 07:24, 30 June 2006 (BST)

- Keep - Brain Rot isn't as good a tracker of "veteran" zombies as Headshot is for survivors, though. There are plenty of high-level zombies who just don't want the inconvenience of cutting off easy access to future human-crossover skills. --Rheingold 13:14, 30 June 2006 (BST).

Speech Targeting
Timestamp: | 06:17, 30 June 2006 (BST) |
Type: | Improvement |
Scope: | Survivors |
Description: | Right now if cell power is offline it's impossible to talk to someone who is beyond the first fifty people in the building list. Also cell phones cost more AP and it seems silly to have to call someone who is standing right in front of you.
I suggest a drop-down menu next to the speech text box listing all present. You can choose the person you want to speak to. That person will receive your message along with the first 49 people who would normally get it if you hadn't picked a target. Essentially you're just swapping out the fiftieth person to reach your friend instead. This way you can say hi to an ally, or deliver a message, but it doesn't allow for secret messages. It's just a way of including a friend in the fifty people you can reach. |

- Keep Author vote. It isn't a whisper. You're just saying it at normal volume in front of your friend. --Jon Pyre 06:17, 30 June 2006 (BST)
- Kill - the whisper got a spam because it was dumb. This only gets a Kill because I don't think I would ever use the function. Ever. Metagame, or use the damn cellphone. --talk 06:20, 30 June 2006 (BST)
- Re There's little point in having a contact list if we don't try to contact people we recognize. How are you suppose to build relationships, and even arrange to metagame if you can't talk to people you know? --Jon Pyre 06:31, 30 June 2006 (BST)
- Kill - There are alternatives like metagaming or even the "silly" cellphone (silly because you said so, but useful indeed). --Matthew Fahrenheit 07:02, 30 June 2006 (BST)
- Re Cellphones require they have you on their contact list. What if you want to tell them "Put me on your contact list!"? --Jon Pyre 07:28, 30 June 2006 (BST)
- Keep -There are some people that just don't want to go through the effort of adding the person, calling them, finding out the MPM isn't powered, running off to power it, And then phoneing them--Labine50 MHG|MalTel 07:26, 30 June 2006 (BST)
- Kill - Completely unneeded. –Bob Hammero T•W!•P! 07:36, 30 June 2006 (BST)
- Keep - Metagaming is not a reason to vote Kill. I'd use this. When telling people not to overbarricade a building, targetting the level 2 player with construction seems like a good idea. Of course I'd prefere a "talk to the 50 closest people on your contacts list" type deal, but this would be useful to. David Malfisto 09:55, 30 June 2006 (BST)
- Keep - There are probably better ways to implement this, but it really is silly that there is no "Go find the person you actually want to talk to" function in the game. I also feel like I need to balance the "Lol just use AIM" responses. If you're going that way, why not ditch the game altogether and play a PnP game over IRC(which are also fun) ...I am assuming you can only use this when the person is in the room?--Gene Splicer 11:47, 30 June 2006 (BST)
- Kill - I think the 50 thing along with cutting down on spam is about server load. This seems like a more convoluted query. I like the target idea. It might be easier to implement by just saying the the 50 people closest to your friend. And maybe it does not need to show up unless you zoom. Max Grivas JG,T,P! 12:00, 30 June 2006 (BST)
- Keep - Don't see a problem with this. Why not give a way to communicate with a specific person in-game who is not on the contact list? --Nob666 12:07, 30 June 2006 (BST)
- Kill - it's good enough for a Keep but there is already (iirc) a peer-reviewed suggestion that is more elegant than this. You simply choose how many AP to spend on a speech - 1 AP gets you heard by the closest 50 people, 2 AP = 100 people, 3 AP = 150 people, etc. For when you have to get that message through, I'd prefer that kind of solution. --Rheingold 13:18, 30 June 2006 (BST). EDIT - Here's the link. --Rheingold 13:24, 30 June 2006 (BST).
- Keep - I must agree on this one. Gonna cut close. --Niilomaan 13:40, 30 June 2006 (BST)
- Keep - Metagaming should not be a requirement to play the damn game. In-game features for communication are good, and allow more players access to them. Some people don't know what a wiki is, and might never even click on the button. --McArrowni 14:04, 30 June 2006 (BST)
- Keep - Yes please! Makes sense, and provides no functinoality that shouldn't be there. I've considered suggesting this myself, after getting frustrated about my message not reaching the right person. --Burgan 16:13, 30 June 2006 (BST)
- Keep - I like it. It works both in providing 'realism' (whatever that is) and removing an nuisance which doesn't particularly promote the genre. -- Jenny D'ArcT 16:55, 30 June 2006 (BST)
- Kill-For all those that said one shouldn't vote Kill because of metagame, well...metagaming is what you need in order to understand what is going on! You need to metagame in order to play. It saves you guys AP, and it lets you enjoy the game more. Without metagaming, people would leave the game.--ShadowScope 18:29, 30 June 2006 (BST)
- Kill - Harmanz have enough ways to talk to each other. They do not need another. The person is offline for a long time, their fault. Wait or use the extra AP for a cell phone. Sonny Corleone WTF 18:36, 30 June 2006 (BST)
- Re It isn't a new way of talking. It's just talking. Humans used to be able to talk into everyone in a building. Being able to include a specific person is just a nerfed version of the original that allows you to, you know, hold conversations. --Jon Pyre 23:49, 30 June 2006 (BST)
- Re - You can still do that. With a cell phone. Sonny Corleone WTF 23:56, 30 June 2006 (BST)
- Re With mutual contacts. When power is on in a building halfway across the suburb. You won't admit it's silly to have to call a person who's right there?--Jon Pyre 00:18, 1 July 2006 (BST)
- It is silly but the person is supposed to be asleep at that time. You're telling me you're whispering to a guy sleeping? A text message may sound silly but if he's asleep it makes more sense. Sonny Corleone WTF 00:54, 1 July 2006 (BST)

- Keep - Aren't we a conservative bunch? there is nothing here that could hurt the game. And It would actually add some conveniance to it. It is a multiplayer game after all, more communication means more fun. --Vista 00:26, 1 July 2006 (BST)
- Keep - works for me. -Kiltric 19:55, June 30 2006 (EST)
- Keep - How does this hurt the game again? Why does EVERY suggestion HAVE to be a major change to the game to pass? Sheesh.--Pesatyel 07:40, 1 July 2006 (BST)
- Kill - I think it´s better and faster get your´s buddy e-mail ( Hi5, Nexopia or Orkut) and send your´s msg --danilo r 19:46, 7 July 2006 (BST)

Construction Sites
Timestamp: | Canuhearmenow 17:38, 30 June 2006 (BST) |
Type: | New building. |
Scope: | Purpose for wastelands and streets, diversity.. |
Description: | I have found a use for all those worthless little blocks, like streets and wastelands, I propose changing at least 18 of ALL streets and wastelands to "Empty Construction Site" The outside description would be, "You are outside a construction site, scattered equipment lay around the foundation of a building." upon searching you would have a 3% chance of finding a crowbar, 2% chance of finding a fuel can, and a 1% chance of finding beer. |

- Kill - Here is what I said for the Prisons suggestion. I made comment on this suggestion on the talk page that we need more diversification of the current buildings to get away from the mall/NT-centric game play. This is, basically, just another [warehouse]. People will flock, in droves, to the new buildings...for about a week. Then they will realize nothing has changed. While I don't personally mind more "useless" stuff here and there, SOMETHING has got to give. Just adding a "new location" doesn't change anything.--Pesatyel 07:46, 1 July 2006 (BST)
- Kill Cyberbob hits the nail on the head. Bad pun intended. David Malfisto 14:38, 1 July 2006 (BST)
- Keep - Yes, it's is rather pointless, but putting some new building types, like this scatterd around, is nice for diversification. Why construction sites, and not prisons or something else? Because I think construction sites fit the atmosphere better. --Rgon 23:05, 4 July 2006 (BST)
