It's not the end

- i see what you mean what should we do about those little sucker? (soon to be cut down) Me101 02:23, 12 May 2007 (BST)
- 3rd of July. Still 4 trees... --Duke GarlandTLCD SSZ 22:12, 3 July 2007 (BST)
Story of last tree
I know that the pool was basing on the info in the game stats page, so the authors ditnt know the exact location of the last xmas tree, but i'm pretty sure it was heavily guarded by humans, and so i hope that somebody will be able to post a story about where the last xmas tree was, how it has been destroyed, and so on. Screenshot would be awesome. --KiT 17:03, 9 May 2007 (BST)
- Personally, I bet it was tucked in an unvisited corner of the map where neither zombies or survivors visited. Probably a regular, non NT building off the gree running routes. --Darth Sensitive W! 22:47, 9 May 2007 (BST)
- I saw some evidence that many of the last few trees were in fact in well protected buildings protected by groups that wanted to keep their tree as long as they could. Malton is a big place, with lots of minor groups. --Seb_Wiers VeM 23:23, 9 May 2007 (BST)
- Huh - I had all my chars keeping an eye out, and one was quite mobile. I just wouldn't think that gaurding it as a group would do much, since they were so easy to attack. --Darth Sensitive W! 04:34, 10 May 2007 (BST)

- no, i don't think so. i was actually carefully looking for trees in last few weeks (check lower on this page) - i've made route from Ridleybank to Dulston, there i started to visit almost all buildings, then Rhodenbank, Earltown, Rolt Heights, Pescodside, Dunningwood, Gibsonton, Spracklingbank, Paynterton, Starlingtown, Dentonside (where i found one) and further straight south to Miltown. The tree i found and destroyed was in green suburb without much survivors and any zombies. most of buildings powered with generators running low / out of fuel. It was also in a building on the the border of the town. Nobody really cared about it there. I think the same was with other last trees --Duke GarlandLCD 13:25, 10 May 2007 (BST)
Well Done
Congratulations to the Drama Club. Although I wish that I had won, I am glad that they will receive something in return for the interesting entertainment they provide. Is there any chance that you will be able to post photographs of the ornaments so that we can all be jealous of what we missed out on? And is it too soon to ask if we will be doing this again next year? -- Wayne Schlaegal 19:55, 8 May 2007 (BST)
One day! One bleedin' day! Anyhow, well done to the winner. -- TheDavibob T 06:41, 8 May 2007 (BST)
- (from the user page for Drama Club) HYSTERICAL!! I can't believe I actually WON! [steps up to podium with tears in eyes] I just want to thank all the people that believed in me and supported me as I chased my dreams. Without your help and the kindness and encouragement of all my fans, I would never have been able to overcome all the obstacles to me picking a random date. Thanks Mom and Dad for all you did to help me learn to hit keys on a computer. So this prize is really for all of you out there who have a dream like mine, to have a glorious Urban Dead themed X-mas ornament through your own dumb luck! Now go out there and show them what Urban Dead is all about! Thank you! *bell tone* [steps down from podium] --Drama Club 13:12, 8 May 2007 (EST) -- I can be contacted for shiping arrangements at Malton_drama_club@hotmail.com.
- Congrats big time and to think i was a day off that could have been me, that could have been me... *carried off kicking and screaming* Me101 02:16, 12 May 2007 (BST)
I created 10 alts when these came out, so I can prop up 10 of those babies whenever I feel like it. Hey, you gotta do what you gotta do when you are limited to 1 tree per char! ;) -Certified=Insane☭ 03:02, 9 April 2007 (BST)
- I wasn;t aware there was a 1 tree per character limit. Interesting. Well, I guess this pool will run longer than I expected. --S.WiersctdpNTmapx:oo 03:46, 9 April 2007 (BST)
Rules Questions and Adjudication - new messages at top
So I'm guessing since Kevan has the countdown up, screenshots won't be needed anymore to prove a winner. --Andre Aloisius 05:35, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
- That is correct. I suppose I should update the rules to reflect this. S.Wiers X:00x-mas tree dead pool 18:58, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
Question: Are we allowed to strike out our guess and pick a new day, or do we HAVE to wait 'til the date of the original guess has passed? --Andre Aloisius 05:21, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
- You have to wait. Otherwise would not be fair to people who might have wanted to pick the date you were using, and I don't want one person striking their date, then another person striking theirs so they can grab the newly free date, then another, etc. That's why I advised in the rules that "it may pay well to pick a "short date" and then re-register after that passes." --S.Wiers X:00x-mas tree dead pool 10:48, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
I guessed never in the crazy guess section...which might never happen...can I change my guess? --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 16:29, 29 April 2007 (BST)
- Heh. Sure. Let me strike it for yah to make it official and all. I didn't want to make a habit of letting people bounce their entries around, but it seems unlikely that anybody was put off by not having the option to use your entry date. :) --Seb_Wiers VeM 17:31, 29 April 2007 (BST)
Antisanta Military Operation
C'mmon! it takes too long... those last 3 trees... When eggs were introduced - they've got eaten/smashed in few days. That's because players were actually searching for them. I'd like to gather a team to find those last trees and knock them down! In any case i feel like going to tour to do this at least myself. You're with me? --Duke GarlandLCD 13:23, 25 April 2007 (BST)
- I'm neither for nor against such actions, but I have to admit, its getting to be a longer-lasting chore managing this thing than I expected. --Seb_WiersctdpImagine 23:42, 25 April 2007 (BST)
Ha Ha HA! I found a tree. ned more AP to chop it off --Duke GarlandLCD 08:35, 4 May 2007 (BST)
- 1 done, few to go --Duke GarlandLCD 15:20, 4 May 2007 (BST)
I'm with you on this, man. I've decided to go on a crusade to find them myself. Destroy All Christmas Trees. Bah, humbug! -DR
Trees in Inventory
Just a Question, but Ummm, what happens when the last christmas tree goes down and, i don't know...I decide to erect a new one that i have on one of my many alts? Can we claim that the contest has been won if my characters are still carrying christmas trees ready to prop up whenever they feel like it?--Ram Rock Ed First
- As it says in the rules, the contest is won when the trees reach zero. If they go back above that again, its not an issue. The tracking page Kevan set up makes this pretty easy to determine. --Seb_WiersctdpImagine 03:15, 27 April 2007 (BST)
Christmas Tree Dead Pool III?
Now that Christmas 07 is over, is anyone starting another dead pool this year? --Uncle Bill 00:30, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
