Talk:McZeds/Historical Group Voting
Please format. Nalikill 22:35, 13 September 2007 (BST)
I dunno the difference between the "old McZeds" and the "new". I'm a simple restaurateur and believe that my McZeds is in fine shape. Sure, if you want to make the Tynte building a historical landmark for its rich history (including it's current status as the finest McZeds in all of Malton) I'd probably support such a move. I'm thinking of sending a friend to Caiger Mall to set up a McZeds in the Tynte building next door. --8 Bucks 23:09, 13 September 2007 (BST)
- If you want to start a new store, then move to New McZeds, since this one is no longer active.--The-Not-So-Late Stuartbman The Third MBE OBE 10:29, 14 September 2007 (BST)
Where's the group page?
Sorry but there's no content on Mc Zeds. Is it elsewhere? --~~~~ [Talk] 06:45, 14 September 2007 (BST)
- Heh, try McZeds - If Jedaz = 06:47, 14 September 2007 (BST) then pi = 2 + 1
- Actually, it should be McZeds, without the space. --Karlsbad 06:48, 14 September 2007 (BST)
- Thanks, but this means this page should be moved to McZeds/Historical Group Voting --~~~~ [Talk] 06:54, 14 September 2007 (BST)
This "group" is ACTIVE, kidz
The "new" McZeds is the exact same content as the old McZeds. It's just been taken over by someone else. Groups change leadership all the time... Which means McZeds cannot be historical -- because it is an ACTIVE group... Am I wrong??? --WanYao 22:56, 14 September 2007 (BST)
- I was elected leader of "old" McZeds, but Amazing, the founder, objected through The General. Part of the ruling was that i be allowed to start New McZeds, to keep something going. It's kinda the same, but not.--The-Not-So-Late Stuartbman The Third MBE OBE 09:13, 15 September 2007 (BST)
- As far as I could tell the main content of the two pages was identical, except for sexier templating. How is it different? New management? A few things have change? Well... that happens all the time, and it just means there have been some changes to an ACTIVE group. I don't believe that McZeds is historical -- it is ACTIVE. --WanYao 16:19, 15 September 2007 (BST)
- "Sexier"...Thanks! If I'd won the arby case, then the original would've ended up like that.--The-Not-So-Late Stuartbman The Third MBE OBE 16:48, 15 September 2007 (BST)

Note:Please withdraw this
If you can. The owner of the CURRENLTY ACTIVE McZeds opposes it, and I started this for him, so....withdraw this, remove this, if you would? Nalikill 01:59, 16 September 2007 (BST)
- No, I don't mind it being historical, but, to quote the wiki community, I don't see how it can be inactive if I'm still running one. <lastlaugh>--The-Not-So-Late Stuartbman The Third MBE OBE 11:39, 16 September 2007 (BST)
- "I don't see how it can be inactive if I'm still running one" Care to explain about COL then? Just because one group has the same name (and may have followed from the group of the one before) doesn't mean that the original is still active (and thus shouldn't be considered historical). The people who are voting against on the argument that it's still active are mis-guided because it's not.
- Nalikill, because this is Zods group now it's his choice as to remove this vote or not, not Stuartbmans. - If Jedaz = 12:07, 16 September 2007 (BST) then pi = 2 + 1
- Howso? I started the vote. Not zod. Not Stuartbman. They can start their own if they want to. If it's possible, I want mine withdrawn Nalikill 18:17, 16 September 2007 (BST)
- Huh. According to the precedent set by COL, it seems that what we should be doing is reverting back to my original idea, which was to revert McZeds into a Disambig page and then have Zod's group in the (old) and StuartB's group in the (new). --Karlsbad 13:49, 16 September 2007 (BST)
- Was there a reason that you didn't leave it as a disambig? It probably would have made it clearer that the old McZeds is no longer active, but thats besides the point. The point I was trying to make with COL is that they are distinct groups although two of them share the same roots (Read the first lines of here and here) one can be considered inactive while the other active. This is the exact same distinction which needs to be made here. The old McZeds is no longer an active group, and although it shares the same roots as the new McZeds (being that the new McZeds took the idea from it), they are infact two different entities. It is shitful when people can't make that distinction and vote against solely on the fact "theres another group with the same content on it's page". It would be the same as say someone copying the WCDZ before it went into voting and then stating that they are active once voting has started. Why should that group page have less of a chance of making it just because someone decided to copy their group? - If Jedaz = 14:34, 16 September 2007 (BST) then pi = 2 + 1
- As to the first point that is responding to what I am saying, I forgot what the precedent was for such a situation and decided between the two options what I felt seemed easier. However I think I might go back and format it into the correct form sometime. As to the second, I really don't care, because votes with faulty reasonings are not used for precedent. Anyway, it is most likely that people are voting against it because they don't like Amazing or anything associated with him, and are only using said argument as a smoke-screen. --Karlsbad 03:58, 18 September 2007 (BST)

HOLY CRAP
Hide the rusty spatulas! Golly, I'm gone for a little bit and all hell breaks loose. Who is trying to wrangle good ol' McZed's from me...Amazing or Zod or Stuartbman? Geez, can't a guy take a break from flipping burgers without everyone filing in to clear out his equipment? I'm back, fast food mavens. Fear me all you undead future Zomburgers. McZed's. Period.
There are some that charge that McZed's was not a real ingame group and that I did nothing for the company. Nay, I say NAY! I am not as well versed as others on the wiki, but did plenty of ingame promotion, doesn't anybody remember my radio commercials? Heck, even Sonny was a manager for a while when he was with PA Alliance. While I haven't been active on the wiki in quite some time, I have been preiodically checking in on the game and can be seen about Malton.
Now Stuartbman wants to run the group as his own. Amazing has passed ownership to Zod. Everyone loses with two McZeds.
Stuartbman, while I appreciate your service and your zealous attitute toward promoting McZed's, understand this - Amazing created McZed's. From what I know, Zod helped some. I came on a little later to run it. You have good intentions I think, but are a little misguided and not tactful at all. The group is not yours to have. It is mine and I am proud of the work we have put into the page and concept.
Zod, we have been allies for some time now. Since Amazing actually passed ownership to you, I would ask that I be given a chance to run McZeds again. Amazing can remain honorary "CEO" and I will again become district manager.
I would hope I can come out with some good working relationships with Stuatbman and others who enjoy the humor of McZeds. I don't want the name or any images used for other groups (New McZeds, etc..) I'll follow Zod's lead and please ask that others be more original and develop and follow different concepts.
I plan to be more active in the future and see a bright future for McZed's. VIVA LOS ZOMBURGERS!!!! --Atari Techno 01:06, 18 September 2007 (BST)
