Apart from that its a good start.

And from experience, I'd add the following.

Be sure to check The Frequently Suggested List and the Suggestions Dos and Do Nots before you post your idea. There you can read about many idea's that have been suggested already, which users should be aware of before posting what could be a dupe, or a duplicate of an existing suggestion. These include Machine Guns and Sniper Rifles

Ha. yeah, I should include a specific or two. And, yeah I meant to include the navigation, but I wasn't sure about the template, or if it would magically appear or what.

Which actually reminds me, that navigation bar is awfully... changey. Probably due to the equal population of talk and article pages, but that navigation can be kinda buggy, and I feel like i have to bounce between like 3 pages to get where I'm going. - tylerisfat 17:54, 8 August 2008 (BST)

Changing the subject... should I just randomly make the switch one day or do a vote or what? Ha. Who's permission do I need? - tylerisfat 18:02, 8 August 2008 (BST)

As a wiki, you can technically do whatever you want, however in the real world id ask the opinions of a sysop or two, as its good practice. Karek is always useful, as is boxy when you can pin him down, or grim (Bless him). Not that the likes of swiers arent reasonable, or nubis, or in fact most of them..... A wiki is supposed to be about working together to provide the best for others. Yes I do realise i just said that. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 20:19, 8 August 2008 (BST)

Discussion of v2

I was wondering what this page was supposed to be, and now I know. :) Anyway, I've brought it back to get opinions on another layout change. It's largely a cleanup of the old one, with some rewording here and there, some sections trimmed and other expanded. I also propose a new template for discussion because the current one is just a hacky relic of the old suggestions system. You can see it in action in my sandpit at the moment. -- User:The Rooster RoosterDragon User talk:The Rooster 02:26, 8 June 2009 (BST)

These changes look good to me, including your new template for discussion in your sandpit. Much more helpful to the new user in it's explanations on adding suggestions and cycling. I'm all for it.--Zombie Lord 20:48, 8 June 2009 (BST)
Just checking, your new Template includes repeating the title, in the discussion header? Looks good. But do we need the overflow anymore? I don't think its been used in the last 6 months. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 21:04, 9 June 2009 (BST)

Looks more concise. --  AHLGTG THE END IS NIGH! 21:28, 9 June 2009 (BST)

I prefer this to the current version. The language is much more clear and everything is laid out in a more clean and less confusing manner. The only thing is - don't forget to have a line in your new template that will create a "discussion" header. Newbs won't know to create one. EDIT: Nevermind, I see it works perfectly in your sandpit --GANG Giles Sednik CAPD 21:31, 9 June 2009 (BST)
Yeah I cleaned it up enough so that I could get away with subst, yay for subst! -- User:The Rooster RoosterDragon User talk:The Rooster 21:41, 9 June 2009 (BST)

Well since you chaps are happy with it I'll paste over the current DS code, if you ever want to remove the overflow Ross, just speedy it and remove that bit on DS. -- User:The Rooster RoosterDragon User talk:The Rooster 21:41, 9 June 2009 (BST)

I might. Im looking at the history, see if I can justify it. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 21:42, 9 June 2009 (BST)

I just came back for the first time in years. The new version looks good. :D tylerisfat 06:19, 7 August 2010 (BST)

Pity DS is slowing to a crawl though. :( The sun shone, having no alternative, on the nothing new 06:28, 7 August 2010 (BST)
