The Legion

"The Legion" is Unit Eight: a portion of the Malton Civil Defense Unit, which is an official member of the Department of Emergency Management. We are a logistics unit of the MCDU supporting local human groups and survivors in restoring vital infrastructure and resources to the community. Unit 8 can be assigned recovery and revival projects (monitoring revive queues and first-aid).

We are better known in the past as the Anti-PK unit of Malton Civil Defense Unit. Whilst bounty hunting is optional, it is secondary to any objectives given by MCDU Command. It is important to note that our priorities are to protect and support the members of the MCDU and DEM allies.

New recruits are the life and blood of the MCDU. Contact us at at our forum on Brainstock located here. All new recruits will need to undergo training at the various Academy campuses. Upon graduation you will be assigned to a Unit by MCDU Command.

Unit Backstory

"The Legion" was formed on the basis that the Malton Civil Defense Unit needed an Anti-Pker Unit to protect its members and allies. Fire Marshall Bill enlisted veterans of the existing MCDU to join the hunt. Experienced members of the MCDU, from various backgrounds and units - supported the Malton Marshalls and the Malton Police Department in the fight against murderers, criminals and rogues alike.

Following the end of the Third Siege of Caiger Mall, the unit was forced to shutdown its operations as a number of veterans retired from the game. We will always honor the sacrifices paid by the early veterans whom served the City of Malton in bringing criminals to justice.

Recently the unit has been tasked for missions including: Destruction of undead, supporting local human groups and survivors, and long range reconnaissance. Bounty Hunting is optional and is not required by the MCDU. We support the work of Malton Marshals and the Malton Police Department to handle the criminals of Malton.

Unit 8 works alongside the other units within the MCDU. We generally move as a division so units are rarely flung in to chaos with no allied support.
