The General

It's pretty obvious that I'm not currently able to fulfill my duties as a sysop (the fact that I haven't gotten around to this until now is ample example of this). Anyway, I shall finally step down as a sysop. I may or may not return at some point in the future. If I do return then I will consider reapplying for promotion if I have managed to regain the trust of the community.--The General T Sys U! P! F! 20:54, 8 May 2010 (BST)

Can't we just leave this for, what, less than 24 hours and have the community turf you out unceremoniously? Nothing to be done! 20:58, 8 May 2010 (BST)
The community have made it quite clear that I no longer enjoy their support and I sympathise with the sentiment. In all honesty, I intended to do this earlier but never got round to it (which us kinda the story of the last 8 months, really). The community has made their opinion clear and I accede to their wishes. The community have their way and we can archive the whole thing a bit early. There's no need to call the bouncers, I can find my own way out.--The General T Sys U! P! F! 21:31, 8 May 2010 (BST)
To be honest, I actually didn't realise how close on the ending of the re-evaluations this actually was. Still, feel free to process this now rather than wait for the deadline.--The General T Sys U! P! F! 22:00, 8 May 2010 (BST)
If you had any sense you would have done this ages ago. Saying you don't need to be forced out is completely bullshit, if it weren't for the re-evaluation this demotion would never happen. --Umbrella-White.pngThadeous OakleyUmbrella-White.png 22:16, 8 May 2010 (BST)

We usually ask if you're sure, and stuff, but given the circumstances, I think we can do away with the formalities. I'll demote you now, and thank you for your contributions, in the day :D -- boxy talkteh rulz 23:07 8 May 2010 (BST)

Aren't you supposed to at least let Ross see this request before acting on it? Nothing to be done! 23:13, 8 May 2010 (BST)
I contacted him telepathically -- boxy talkteh rulz 06:28 9 May 2010 (BST)
Aww, well played! -- 06:31, 9 May 2010 (BST)
You're right. He is. --Umbrella-White.pngThadeous OakleyUmbrella-White.png 23:22, 8 May 2010 (BST)
Meh. Grim's done it before, etc, etc. *more history lessons* -- 01:51, 9 May 2010 (BST)
And a wonderful role model he was... Nothing to be done! 01:53, 9 May 2010 (BST)
Boxy more or less cycled his bid anyway, I've done it without Boxy's input before, as grim also did without boxy's input once which resulted in hilarious grim lols. Either way, Grim was awesome so shoosh -- 02:20, 9 May 2010 (BST)
Eh, let him maintain his dignity and go out of his own volition. He didn't cause any active harm to the wiki, and he did contribute when he was around. The least he deserves is that much, and both achieve the same end anyway. Aichon.
Funnily enough, yesterday whilst watching Iron Man 2, I felt a strong urge to demote something. As box, he wants demoting, demote him first. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 10:28, 9 May 2010 (BST)
