Not that worried about the format. Throw new stuff down at the bottom, sign it. I'll get rid of stuff as I see fit.

dulston?

Why do you think im in dulstun? --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 11:19, 30 July 2008 (BST)

got you! Of course. you have to be in the area, but i was just passing through, as part of NecroWatch/Team. Forgot completely about that. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 11:24, 30 July 2008 (BST)

Tyler

Just to say thanks for the feedback, if there's anything wiki based you need help with, let me know. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 15:58, 1 August 2008 (BST)

Great Job

I've noticed you go from being a new user (and to be perfectly honest a little bit of a n00b), to being a well-learned member of the community with a thorough and comprehensive knowledge of Conduct, Reasoning, and Suggestions Protocol. As such, I am going to make you a Template. It's what I do. =P Techercizer (Food) (TSoE) 05:11, 2 August 2008 (BST)

Mall Information Center

I appreciate the work you've been doing to keep the MIC up-to-date! However, please wait to change a mall's status to Unknown until two weeks have passed since the last update. Thanks, and have a great day! --Pedentic 04:22, 8 August 2008 (BST)

cycling suggestions

i recommend leaving a contested dupe for the sysops to cycle out.

however, anyone can cycle out spaminated suggestions. just watch to make sure they have been up for 6 hours! i made that mistake once... also, you can add the templates and strike out humourous suggestions, edited suggestions etc. if you see them.

but i tend to leave the actual MOVING of the pages to someone else, because i don't really know how to do it... ;) --WanYao 05:20, 8 August 2008 (BST)

Talk:SuggestionsTemplate

Is where I've left my feedback.

I second the penguin template! --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 17:50, 8 August 2008 (BST)

Suggestion: Stop the Spam! ;)

  1. Spam - Where can we start a petition against suggestions that have no thought behind them? Can we make it so that you have to submit to the talk: discussion page 24 hours before hand? - tylerisfat 02:23, 28 August 2008 (BST)

Yeah... I've been thinking we need a policy like that. It'd have to go to discussion, then be voted on... But yeah I think you should HAVE to submit to Talk:Suggestions first. And, along with that, rules against trolling on that page. Hmmnn... --WanYao 06:06, 28 August 2008 (BST)

Maybe make it required, and add the one post per 24's that is currently on the suggestions page to the talk page. only one suggestion up for discussion, or its auto-deleted, and it must remain for 24 hours or 48 or something before going to suggestions. if the response is over-negative, the author must post an edit and it resets the counter to allow posting in the suggestions page. thus, blake couldn't continually post a new one every day to stock the pond, so to speak.

I don't know how you'd enforce the "overly negative response" thing... I think you just have to leave that alone... However, a requirment to post all Suggestions to Talk:Suggestions for, say, 48 hours before it gets voted on woul;d be reasonable. I mean people can just ignore comments, but it slows the process down, and allows input... Then there is NO exuse for whining when an idea gets shot down in voting. None.
Then, anti-spam rules need to be in place. Actually, that's easy -- it just follows the procedure for the removal of spam votes as used in the voting suggestion. If it's a troll comment, it gets removed. Negative comments, being a jerk, that's not trolling -- if you're actually addressing the suggestion somehow. "Zombie Lord is a fag" is trolling... "This suggestion is retarded" is not a valid comment. "This suggestion is a retarded overpowered survivor buff, why don't you fucking go away, already", however, is a legit comment... not a nice one, but legit...
How does that sound? --WanYao 03:29, 29 August 2008 (BST)
Sounds great to me. It would at least make people be a little more thoughtful, and it would move a lot of the nasty stuff out of votes and into the talk stage, which is where it belongs anyway. it would also, (i think, at least) really clear up the point of spam votes, as the suggestion has already gone throught the discussion. thus, the spam votes would be used for a suggestion which obviously was never changed or thought about after the criticism from the discussion page, or for something innappropriatly posted. i think that any changes to the suggestion must be made on the talk page first, so the final, edited version on the talk page is the same content that appears on the voting page. but, maybe that's too much to enforce. to me, that's where the 'overly negative response' would come into effect, as it would then be grounds for a solid spam voting. so it would alter the spam system a little bit. or is it too much of a change?
I'm not sure who to talk to about all this, as i think the format for the suggestions page is locked in a format or something. i'm still really a beginner at wiki editing, so i don't know what that is. - tylerisfat 03:36, 29 August 2008 (BST)
Well, this is a policy change, so I'd think it'd have to go for public discussion followed by a vote. I'll perhaps talk to one of the sysops I know and see what they say... It's going to be hard to get through, though, because while a lot of people will like the idea, a lot also want to keep their rights to troll freely... But you never know, maybe we can get something to happen. Honestly, I almost think the whole Suggestions system perhaps should be scrapped. Is the drama worth it, really? I'm not so sure it is these days.... --WanYao 10:19, 29 August 2008 (BST)

100+ ap repairs

for a start sign your posts! :P

i think i need to add a little "help file" to the template's page...

and, other than that, i theory anyone can add the template. but, i like the reporting "thread" for "verification"... there is help on images and stuff off the main page of this wiki, but the best thing to do i find is look at the code first hand in the edit screen, and copy what you need... :P

in a while, i can just add your submission, and i'll put the template code in your talk page... gimme a bit, though, kay? :) --WanYao 16:24, 18 September 2008 (BST)

Well actually there you go... just cut and paste the the code below onto your main page.
Template:ExtremeRepair
tylerjames repaired Hoskin Building (Eastonwood) for 100 AP.

I entered the screenshots myself... My wiki-fu isn't that great... But what I know I've figured out by reading the help files and by looking at other peoples' code... The most important wiki-fu IMO is learning tables, followed by how to play with images. Tables are a pain, but not really hard... Images are pretty straightforward. --WanYao 16:44, 18 September 2008 (BST)
Gah, me again. Can you please make sure the date for the repair (it's on the talk page) is correct. And add any comments you want by adding a | at the end of the stuff inside the image code .... look at how others did it... just not too long, eh? ;P --WanYao 16:59, 18 September 2008 (BST)

I would have voted keep

Just saw your Grimch Character class suggestion on the wandering Talk: Suggestion page. I loved it! This wiki needs an enema! hahaah --– Nubis NWO 13:32, 21 October 2008 (BST)

Just curious

How fat is Tyler exactly? Like I wanna know waist measurements and weight.--Nallan (Talk) 05:56, 26 October 2008 (UTC)

Well thats not creepy at all. - tylerisfat 08:09, 26 October 2008 (UTC)

Hi!

Hmm...most of the ruins in Dakerstown aren't super-high in their repair costs, as there's been a couple of survivor groups running around the area for a while. Some of the dark ones might be higher than others, though. ;) --Jen 04:33, 27 October 2008 (UTC)

The Hills of dunell

How's it going? Have you been able to hold ground? --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 15:18, 27 October 2008 (UTC)

To some degree. Its been hit and miss somewhat, but the past week or more we've been doing rather well, considering the huge streak of death and destruction running through the middle and SW of town. We've had to stay mobile and really active to hold even one building long enough to restock, but we've started to lay some roots of safety for newbs. - tylerisfat 20:18, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
Incidently you're lack of trust is funny! Why you think im so pro zombie? --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 10:26, 29 October 2008 (UTC)
Ha. I don't necessarily, i just thought it might be a question worth asking. - tylerisfat 15:57, 29 October 2008 (UTC)
No, Believe it or not in Malton Im entirely pro survivor, i thought I'd walk on the other side in MV, but BHW seems more challenging, only one mall, lots of newbie players.--RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 15:59, 29 October 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, I'm not going to lie, I'm almost all pro-survivor. If I play zombie too long I want to quit, because its just too easy, and Kevan just keeps making it easier. It makes it less fun if there's no challenge. - tylerisfat 17:53, 29 October 2008 (UTC)

Boreham Map Images

Dumb question, but I guess there aren't any coordinates on any of these places yet? No GPS units in Boreham? --– Nubis NWO 12:38, 29 October 2008 (UTC)

Haven't had a chance to find one yet. Mappings not really my main concern at the moment. Now that you bring it up I'll try to dig one up. - tylerisfat 15:58, 29 October 2008 (UTC)
The only places you can find a GPS is a NT (none in Borehamwood) and a mall tech store. So until someone finds a mall and gets shopping... Linkthewindow Talk 08:46, 3 November 2008 (UTC)
