Reds Roughnecks

Hey Vandurn I was wondering if we could get in contact, the Roughnecks have some plans to defend our building block from the hordes that might come of BB2 and I was wondering if I could run them past you, too get another Pashenton minded opinion.

Please respond via the wiki --Peter Red 11:09, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

Hey thanks for responding man, uh I assume by now you've heard the news that gibsonton is in trouble, BB2 has started their move, reports are very sketchy though at the moment. Our defence plan for Pashenton is more of a survival tactic. Operation COLDSPOON, relies around shepherding as many survivors together as possible, so we can pool our resources to stay alive. The way I see it more people keeping up the cades is just that. Any thoughts?

--Peter Red 05:51, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

I have heard that. Of course you understand that this might actually make the BB2 move through us in a deliberate attempt to mop up the survivors in the area. But it's what we have to do. Yeah, I'd like to help with that. Do you have an emergency barricade plan down yet? I'll talk to drek42 about it, that's basically what he does anyway, but if he goes with you guys at least he won't be tearing stuff down. Anywhere in particular you need me? Also, if you could at all, I'm currently a standing zombie in the Trigg Arms thanks to that turncoat bastard Kirley2. Thank you! --Vandurn 20:28, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

Actually we rather need somebody who has access to FAK's, most of our forces are tied down or too wounded for action. Most of the survivors in our block are badly wounded and we have no source of reprieve, as seraphim is gone. We need a runner to help us get supplies to the wounded in the area. If you could help us by doing a FAK run between our block and columbanus or seraphim, I think it'd help greatly. As always, anything you can do is great --Peter Red 08:56, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

Sorry Vandurn but we may need you for an actual operation. Details are listed under Actions in the Roughnecks page. Find anyone you think who'll be interested, it's a seriously risky plan, but it is neccessary for the survival of our suburb. --Peter Red 09:58, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

Hey you said something about Shearbank, the Roughnecks are looking to go back to Pashenton with a few other guys. If you've found a safe point as close as Shearbank, It'd be great if we could regroup there for a bit, so we can scout out Pashenton and work out our chances of survival. --Peter Red 06:02, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

Well Vandurn, out forward vanguard has already arrived, with the rest of our force moving in soon. I suggest you guys stay mobile, try to hide and switch locations alot. Our plans are to disrupt zombie movement through the Pash, cut off their hold on the suburb through insurgent strikes and hit and fades. If we can more or less grief them enough, they'll go. No zombie will ever sleep safely in Pashenton again. --Peter Red 08:49, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

RAF Historical

Thanks for helping vote the RAF into historical status. I have a question though, You said we helped you with one of your earlier characters. Who was it? --Lt.G Deathnut freelance 06:33, 29 May 2008 (BST)

Named Icebringer, I believe, a few years back. Maybe in early 2006, you guys saved him from a couple zed attacks. When I went south, of course, I was butchered, which really only made me appreciate you guys more. It was one reason on Nick Vandurn, I spent a few months working for Zombra's Pub in the Northeast. It was good, honest work that helped me feel like I passed the torch on. Thanks again, yeah? --Vandurn 13:34, 29 May 2008 (BST)

Thanks - got a question

Thanks for the way you gave a kill but weren't nasty about it :) Though I'm not sure how the suggestion restricts gameplay. I thought actually it enhances it - especially with the lower burden for shotgun ammo and the ability to find 4 at once. Want to talk about it? And maybe you could tell me how to enter a Talk:Discussion with a lot of people to go through my ideas because I have a second shotgun idea that definitely needs some work before I suggest it. --Tselita 03:29, 2 April 2008 (BST)

Taco

dude! awesome vote! i nearly pissed myself. hey, check out my group, Section 13 and drop me a line. peace out homeslice. -- Jack S13 T! PC 21:48, 4 April 2008 (BST)

I laughed too much...

Thanks to your vote here, I nearly choked on a sweet laughing. Although about half my kills are those pesky Level 1-ers... -- The Lethal Trio [Tlk|NTCS|RRF] U! E! 22:23, 4 April 2008 (BST)

Car park

Vandurn - I gotta know.... what purpose do car parks have? I didn't know they had any --Tselita 22:13, 10 April 2008 (BST)

Their inherent purpose, much like Wastelands and Roads, it absolutely nothing. It's tactical. If the ratio of usable squares to resource buildings changes, then the game changes. I don't want to have to patrol car parks to check for gas-toting idiots. It's one more kink in my job. In short: The preservation of survivorkind as we know it. --Vandurn 23:50, 10 April 2008 (BST)
Geez. That's some job. Hhow do you write something like that on a resume? Oh I just checked and found out 2 other uses for Carparks - They sometimes have billboards, and you -can- search for fuel there. --Tselita 00:00, 11 April 2008 (BST)
Well, there you go then. --Vandurn 23:03, 11 April 2008 (BST)
Although technically, the fact that you can search for fuel there makes it more logical to have a siphoning button there (and in auto shops and in vehicle depots) Hehe, sorry... it's not even my suggestion :) --Tselita 23:10, 11 April 2008 (BST)
Actually, you're probably right. You win this round. Lemme change my vote. --Vandurn 23:11, 11 April 2008 (BST)
Voting has ended. D: Haha, well, that's the way it goes. --Vandurn 23:12, 11 April 2008 (BST)
Hehe no actually voting hasnt ended, he took it back to Talk:Discussion to see if there's a way to improve it, since a lot of people had a problem with it being less than 2x the AP needed to find a fuel can. I think he's planning on re-suggesting it in voting for 25 or 30AP since I told him the average search rates for Auto Repair Shops (it's 1 fuel can every 15 AP) so he's doubling it for the siphoning option. But that's fine, when he re-submits it he will already have 2 guaranteed keeps :) --Tselita 23:44, 11 April 2008 (BST)
Guess so. 30 ap I wouldn't use, but it still makes sense. I mean, 30 ap? that is a lot of energy.
Yeah, on one hand, I could very likely get 2 or even 3 fuel cans by searching that much, but on the other, it's guaranteed, so if i'm having an unlucky day I don't have to risk getting 0 fuel cans after 30 AP. --Tselita 00:53, 13 April 2008 (BST)

Nail Gun idea

Hey I have a nail gun idea in talk:discussion and your weak kill vote on the tumbler slug prompted me to ask you about this as an idea for the implementation of nail guns, plotwise.
Desperate survivors, especially consumer civilians, start grabbing anything they can use as improvisational weapons, and discover that cordless nail guns from the hardware stores make an effective weapon in a pinch.
I don't see you in Talk:Discussion, but you do make valid reasoning in your votes and are a good person to brainstorm about ideas (from what I've seen about the fuel can suggestion above, even though that one wasn't my idea). Tell me what you think of that sort of line for the potential update? Thanks --Tselita 16:49, 2 May 2008 (BST)

Ja, it fits and I'd vote for it. Those brand of improvised weapons are the sorts of things that survivors became survivors for. However, I'd look through the archives, there's a good chance of a dupe. Stuff like chainsaws, the hardware tools sort of things, have been combed over pretty throughly. --Vandurn 13:49, 4 May 2008 (BST)
I just put the nailgun up for a vote - doesn't seem to be a dupe (I checked a lot and it managed to get through Iscariot's dupe-checking skills as well, and he seems to have an almost Rain-Man like ability to find any dupe known to man (I say that in a good way, not a mean way). I know that chainsaw has been done in every conceivable way, which is why I'll never suggest one :) --Tselita 17:01, 5 May 2008 (BST)
I was not pleased when I saw the Chainsaw idea that popped up yesterday. Also, I know what you mean for the dupe thing. Some people...do they study these entries? Have they seen all of them? It is frightening. --Vandurn 20:42, 5 May 2008 (BST)
Yeah I know. That chainsaw idea was.... sparse. To put it mildly. Even if it was not a dupe, it's still barely a suggestion --Tselita 20:59, 5 May 2008 (BST)

RP - Code Name: Desert Hunt
Dear Honored Guest,

First of all, let me be the first to thank you for taking the time to check us out. I suppose I’ll tell you a little about what exactly it is that you have found. Code Name: Desert Hunt is a writing and reading intensive futuristic RPG for higher-level rpers. It is meant for those who are devoted, persistent, imaginative, and fun loving, and for anyone who has ever wondered what if. If you join you are expected to post at least once a week, and are expected to make a commitment to this forum. Intense? Yeah it is. But I promise you, it is worth it. Desert Hunt is the brainchild of myself and a few other select individuals, and has spent years in the thinking and making. The story is original, with some influence from dune, star wars, brave new world, and others, and the method of playing is one which depends on mostly creativity and writing skill, with a few dice rolls. The world of Desert Hunt is based far in the future and is meant to be lived in by tens if not hundreds of people, both protagonists and antagonists. The government enforces peace by any means necessary, and The Desert Hunt organization tries to rise against them by finding evidence of a past that is no longer remembered. It may get pretty intense, and there will be fights between the sides. The game itself originated as a guild on Gaia, and has been dormant till now. My partners and I are committed to making this work, if you are willing to help us. I ask that you continue reading everything in this sub forum(you have a long read ahead of you.) and I hope you find it worth joining. Thank you again, from all of us.

Sincerely, -The CNDH Team
I have recently joined up and already love it. the idea is very Unique, the members are friendly and the forum is very well organised. If you like a challenging RP, then this is the site for you.

And tell them Eskimo sent you!

Ice Ice Baby

So just back to killing again Vandurn? As I remember it, when I killed you, it was just to collect a bounty on your head. This will not go unpunished...~Detective Ice

I'm pretty sure it will go unpunished, but if you want to be one of my groupies, that's cool. As for this whole "killing" business...I never stopped killing, per se. After you blew my brains out the first time, the Big Bash rolled around...so I left. But there were all kinds of bounty hunters looking for me...so I killed them. Then I joined the Philosophe Knights! I killed some more people because they offended my delicate sensibilities. Still killing now, but for points. Only 6 or so more proper kills before I get a promotion. As far as death cultists go, you idiots are alright in my book. Have a nice time up north, yeah? --Vandurn 19:10, 3 August 2008 (BST)
well congratulations. you've found a group to hide behind to make it seem like your PKing has a purpose. I've heard all about you're little killing sprees and frankly I still don't find you very threatening. I will find you. It may not be today, and it may not be tomorrow. But one day, we will meet again. For now, have fun in the south since you so arrogantly alluded that you wont be hanging out with us up here anymore. Till me meet again, Nicholas...~Detective Ice 21:46, 3 August 2008 (EST)
Till we meet again, then. --Vandurn 00:40, 5 August 2008 (BST)
Stirred up a nest of some deranged religious fools, NV? Good show! Always spread the word of Enlightenment to the unfortunate Death Cults...Showing the way of reason to all those misled minds.--DTPraise KnowledgePK 19:37, 12 August 2008 (BST)
He didn't stir up any nest. Our fight with Vandurn was before he joined you're little group of assclowns and he didn't spread any word of enlightenment. Detective Ice 00:07, 13 August 2008 (EST)
Well, I can see you're rather stirred up, indeed, good sir. I say, is your cult still lurking about in the North? I'm sure our two groups would get along famously. Also, might I advise you that it is always the wiser thing to be courteous to one unknown to you. You never know if the other half of the conversation may have a heavier stick than yours. --DTPraise KnowledgePK 05:45, 13 August 2008 (BST)
I'm sorry, I may have jumped the gun a bit. I'm a little edgy about insults being thrown the Cult's way because of a fight we just had with Ioncannon11 and his 173rd Brigade. As far as an alliance, you'd have to talk to our leader Senister, about that. if you go to our wiki page you can find a link to our forum if you wish to do so. But I'm not sure how he would react as Vandurn had formerly been a thorn in the Cult's side before he joined the PK's.~Detective Ice 17:07, 13 August 2008 (EST)

Not dead :)

Hi :) I'm not dead. Well... maybe I am in the game, I dunno - either that or idle-hid. Just on a sort of haitus while I'm having a lot of work. I'll probably be back regularly in November/December. As for the 'secret admirer' it's probably just one of the Globetrotters who decided to make a pseudo-me.... either that, or someone simply can't live with the thought of me not being in Urban Dead for a few months :) Oh and my PK character actually is ready - I just can't start playing her and enlisting her in a group until I'm going to be active enough to actually play. In any case I'm sure you'll get your chance to kill me soon (or vice versa) ;) --Tselita 07:26, 17 September 2008 (BST)
