Erected by private train company owner Richard Spraggon, in the face of massive local opposition (as all decent Wykewoodites had chauffeur-driven Bentleys), the decidedly lower-class Spraggon Drive station was at best a redbrick eyesore and at worst a source of noise, smoke and [[The_Dead_2.0|working-class people]]. Trains were contemptuously referred to as "Spraggon's Dragons" and the station was always a loss-maker. Promises to turn the railway into a high-speed line using silent, eco-friendly rolling stock were never kept.
