Sticking mall filled with many survivors as usual, a festive mood in the air as well. Wonder when the zeds will fall on this calm position and feast to their ...er... heart(?)'s desire. --[[User:shyhjang|shyhjang]] 23:47, 17 February 2009 (EST)

Shearbank is a suburb in the north-central area of Malton. It contains Stickling Mall and the east half of St Luke's Cathedral.

Before the outbreak, Shearbank- though not possessing much in the way of attractions itself- acted as a sort of hub to tourist attractions in the surrounding areas, resulting in the construction of no less than six hotels, four police departments, and Stickling Mall- the last of the malls to be completed before the outbreak, in early March 2005. But a year before the renovation, it was up in the ranks with Randallbank, Roachtown, and Huntley Heights as being one of the poorest suburbs in Malton. Drugs, robberies, and assaults were numerous in this suburb. Luckily, this suburb was renovated and became one of the best in the city.

With quick access to hospitals, police stations, and active revive points, the area around Stickling Mall is currently recommended as a great place to gain experience points for those new to Malton.

Shearbank has an extensive and colorful past history. If you are new to the area, please take a look at the Shearbank Barricade Plan.

The new local PK list can be found here which is being maintained by the Umbrella Corporation.

NecroWatch reported in from the Whippey Building. A more recent scan revealed that there were now only 5 zombies within scanning range. Of those numbers, 3 zombies were at the Serrell Building in Yagoton, while the remaining 2 zombies were at the Allder Row revive point and Phillipps Row in Millen Hills, respectively. At this time survivors in the area around the Whippey facility are safe from any serious zombie threats. --Mobius 22:15, 19 February 2009 (UTC)

All four corners of Stickling Mall is EHB and powered. Some surrounding buildings also lit and barricaded, buildings in the south east of the suburb are still ruined, with a few zombies outside. --Solidsnake204 07:45, 26 January 2009 (UTC)

25.96 MHz: "... nearly a hundred in Shearbank ... mostly just stragglers, no organised groups ... lights are on across the suburb ... some minor structural damage though ... the Turner Building has power ..."
Amazing recovery compared to the report from 4 days ago. Good job, Shearbankers! -- Kittithaj 14:52, 26 January 2009 (UTC)

External Military report (25.96 MHz): "... around a hundred and fifty in Shearbank ... a few big groups, but they're spread out ... only one building with lights on ... the whole suburb's wrecked ... Stickling Mall is in bad shape ..." --WanYao 02:50, 23 January 2009 (UTC)

Stickling Mall is barricaded with survivors inside and only a few zombies outside. Looking at the last military report, I'd say the mall is safe for now. --Jesant13 17:05, 23 January 2009 (UTC)

Tons around the south east area of the mall. It seems the horde's spreading out to take resource points. Borror PD is completely gone, reports of a group of 30+ inside and I scouted another 30+ outside in the surrounding blocks. Various buildings are still well manned and well defended and people seem ready to give a fight.--John Mowry 16:48, 19 January 2009 (UTC)

The entire Northern section of Shearbank is gone. The horde has been slowly spreading eastward in the north, with the Gabe building falling at this very moment. --Ragriav 01:56, 20 January 2009 (UTC)

Zeds have broken some of the Stickling Mall NW sector's barricades, changing it from EHB to Very heavily barricaded. St. Christopeher's Church fell to the rising tide of the dead--Sgt Raiden

UPDATE: Stickling Mall's barricades have been decisively breached and some sectors ruined. Survivors continue to resist in the SW corner but hundreds of zombies are in the mall and its environs. In other news, all 19 Stickling Mall Starbucks branches are out of latte moccachinos and bra!n muffins. Allder Row Revive Point is extremely busy. --Mallrat 16:55, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
25.96 MHz: "... around a hundred and fifty in Shearbank ... a few big groups, but they're spread out ... a lot of lights on, though, there are still people down there ... some minor structural damage though ... power's back on at the Turner Building ... the ..."
After Sticking Mall fell, the zombies quickly move on to other targets. The Nisbet Building was ruined, leaving the revive queue at Male Way stranded waiting. -- Kittithaj 18:51, 18 January 2009 (UTC)

The vanguard of the zombie horde on the Mall Tour hits Shearbank. Edmund General Hospital and the Whippey Building were destroyed on the first day of the attack. Now the dead are knocking on the door of Stickling Mall. -- Kittithaj 17:01, 17 January 2009 (UTC)

The NE corner of Stickling Mall has been breached by more than 30 zeds. Be sure to buy a nice shirt while they're still there!--XxFear ItselfxX 19:55, 17 January 2009 (UTC)

Past Regimes of Shearbank

The Democratic Armed Republic of Independent Suburbs (DARIS) claimed to control the suburb for a period that began September 8th, 2005 and ended September 21st, 2005 (13 days). DARIS attempted to kill any non-member who entered the suburb, human or zombie during this period. The Shearbank Liberation Army formed in opposition to this and stated that it aimed to defeat DARIS and end the group's self-proclaimed control of Shearbank. Other non-affiliated residents – human, as well as zombie – began entering the suburb, causing the suburb to become even more of a war zone than the rest of the city and, arguably, the focal point of Maltonian politics. Ultimately, the rule of DARIS in Shearbank came to a close, and without a strong infrastructure, Shearbank was disorganised, and remained so for quite some time.
