Roachtown is a polluted suburb of Malton, located to the north of the city centre and is generally thought of as part of Central Malton . It is considered the grimiest, smelliest, and filthiest in the whole of Malton. The south-eastern section of the suburb, known as the Roachtown ghettos is especially poor and dangerous.

Suburb Info

Roachtown is the stronghold of a group of Roachtown residents calling themselves the ROACH Klips. They have banded together to help stop the Zombie hordes and help any survivors in need of assistance. Little is known about the group, except that they are pro-human and seek to free Roachtown from the grips of the undead. They can usually be found throughout Roachtown trying to secure the buildings and streets for the remaining survivors. If you see a building with smoke billowing out, it is most likely a ROACH Klips safehouse! Be sure to stop in and say hello.

Alner Mansion is the chief Roachtown landmark and was once the command of the Roachtown Rebels, a group which have become extinct in recent times. The mansion itself is heavily trapped and resembles Father Grigori's Church. Occasionally groups and individuals attempt to secure the mansion but it's large size and a lack of resources mean it rarely remains free of zombies for long.

Perhaps the most notable thing about Roachtown is its borders. To the south lies the zombie Mecca of Ridleybank. As a result members of the Ridleybank Resistance Front often wander into the southern part of the Suburb. Indeed many members of the RRF regard Roachtown as part of Greater Ridleybank and thus their own territory.

To the north of the Suburb is Shearbank which is usually a survivor stronghold. As a result survivors attempting to raid Ridleybank frequently use Roachtown as a jumping off point for such assaults. Conversely Roachtown has often been ransacked by zombie hordes heading north to feed upon the rich pickings of Shearbank.

Being such a disputed locale means that Roachtown is usually too dangerous for low level survivors. However smaller survivor groups may find it to be a useful training ground as it supplies reasonable access to resources and a ready supply of Zombies.

If just traveling through the suburb and are in need of a hot meal and good nights rest, stop by St D's Bar & Grill in northern Roachtown, or you could make a stop at The Novell Arms!
