: Hello map buddy! Thanks for telling me about this: I certainly will contribute if ever I stray into the western edge of Lukinswood, or on trips east to the mall. And yes, please do update the Molebank map whenever you're able: it's lonely work ... --{{User:Sherry Stringfield/sig}} 10:32, 2 February 2011 (UTC) |

Sub page
Hey Sherry, you can make a sub-page of your user page by making a page at http://wiki.urbandead.com/index.php?title=User:Sherry_Stringfield/Randallbank or something like that. That way, it doesn't take up your personal user page. --Dazaras 00:22, 1 September 2009 (BST)
- Thanks Daz, I'll do that - just as soon as I can think of something useful to put on my personal page ... --Sherry Stringfield 11:15, 1 September 2009 (BST)

Status Reporting
I can see from here that you report the status of buildings in Eastonwood on your map. It would be really helpful if you could also update their statuses on their respective Eastonwood Building Information Center|Danger Reports. Thanks. --RahrahCome join the #party!20:34, 22 October 2009 (BST)

NemesisReborn
Sorry about that. Honestly though, he's not a member of our forum, or our group. Our group tags read Umbrella Corporation. Full spelling and everything. We don't use abbreviations for our group tag or anything like that. The only other thing I'd be able to say is to report the PK's to Rogues Gallery. If there's anything else you have a question about, ask away and I'll do my best to answer them. Hope that helps and see you around. --DBHT 15:12, 31 January 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for the heads up. I know we've had a few people running around with our group tag PKing people "In Our Name". There really isn't too much we can do about it other than report to Rogues Gallery and try to deal with it that way. --DBHT 02:22, 1 February 2010 (UTC)
Iwitness
You can still find, and access, the iwitness records. However you have to change the URL to reflect the 'temporary' location of the 'temporary' folder. For example:
- [1] - No longer exists at its current location, but if you alter the URL to
- [2] - it can be accessed currently.
I keep saying temporary in inverted commas because Karek said that it was a temporary folder a month ago, and as you're aware nothing has been done. Remember it took him nearly two months to reveal that iwit wasn't broken and was just hiding the records elsewhere.
A solution I'd recommend is to use the URL alteration I demonstrate above to view each individual record and then take a screenshot of each using screengrab. Then this image can be uploaded to the wiki and, provided it is linked in the correct way, will remain in easily accessable existence until the wiki itself burns out and dies. If you would like I'd be happy to advise you on the correct way to organise such a project. -- . . <== DDR Approved Editor 14:41, 27 March 2010 (UTC)
- Unfortunately just changing the URLs as you have might not be enough. Karek gave no notice for two months when they moved to their current location. I doubt there'll be any when they get moved back, rendering your new addresses as dead as the old ones. I think you'd be better taking hard copy images and hosting them on the wiki. The wiki is controlled and run by Kevan, it's almost certain it will be around as long as the game. There is no such certainty with the various witness systems. -- . . <== DDR Approved Editor 17:52, 27 March 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks. I used the temporary fix just as a way of getting the archive up and running again, but I entirely take your point about getting hard copy images. I know how to upload images to the wiki, but is there a particular way of doing the screengrab, or any other part of the procedure, that I should know about? Very grateful for your help with this. --Sherry talk MCM 18:02, 27 March 2010 (UTC)
- If you wish I'll set the whole thing up for you based on a similar scheme to the current misconduct archives. I'd organise in your group space, organised by lecturer and then have an individual page with each lecture on it. It'd also let me create a new category for the system that would mean it would be easy to check everything rather than going through each link individually.

- I use 'Screengrab!', a Firefox add-on to make my screenshots with as it captures the entire page, even if you'd normally have to scroll down to get all the information on your screen. If you were doing this yourself, you could use this, any similar screen capture program/extension or simply by using the Print Screen option afforded to all users of a keyboard. It's up to you which way you want to do it. -- . . <== DDR Approved Editor 18:25, 27 March 2010 (UTC)
Clean ya MCM forums in-box, please!
Hey Zharrh!
As my PM is yet stuck in the outbox although you've refreshed inbetween, would you mind to clean your in-box a bit? The Amazing Spiderzed might have to tell you something, something that might be to tactically sensitive to discuss it openly on the wiki. --Spiderzed 14:35, 1 April 2010 (BST)
- I've been getting your messages fine, my dear death-cultist! I've always experienced that Outbox delay on our forum, but I'll definitely try cleaning house and see if that makes a difference. --Sherry talk MCM 23:53, 1 April 2010 (BST)
Textbooks
Take a look at my sandbox again, I implemented some real basic font size change using <big> and </big>. There is probably a more elegant way to do it, though. --Austin hunt 19:51, 27 April 2010 (BST)
- You might rather want to use headers using equal signs (like the "Textbooks" header for this section of Sherry's talk page). That way, you also create a navigatable table of content and can link to the sub-chapters.
- You can also use more equal signs to create sub-chapters, like 1. Human, 1.1 Human begginer, 1.2 Human intermediate, 1.3 Human advanced, 2. Zombie... You should get the idea.
- Headers can also be combined with other formatting, if it's too plain for you. (Look at the source code of the Feral Undead page as an example, which uses this trick to additionally bold the headers (although apart of that our page isn't exactly the pinnacle of wiki coding and the paragon of beauty, as I have to admit.) --Spiderzed 20:19, 27 April 2010 (BST)
- Thanks you two. I was just sitting down to experiment with subheaders, Spiderzed. The original thought was that we'd do better with just one whole table, but I now think that may be less important than the table of contents and - I would say this, wouldn't I? - appearance. I'm going to copy Austin's code on to a page of my own and play around. I'll let you know when I have something.--Sherry talk MCM 20:23, 27 April 2010 (BST)
What you've worked out looks good so far :-) As I've seen, the outdated page Malton_College_of_Medicine/textbooks is yet around. As there are many links to it and the tinyurl floating around, I'd recommend you to both avoid a.) that people accidentally use the outdated archive and b.) that the links to the old page get simply destroyed. To do that, you have to replace all the content on the page with
#REDIRECT [[Malton_College_of_Medicine/library]]
That way, you create a redirect that directly redirects to the new library sub-page. I'd have done that myself quickly, but as I'm not a direct MCM member, I tread veeery carefully with editing your pages... (P.S.: I also finally got around to create a custom sig for this wiki. If I only had a better ASCII replacement for the FU digit...) -- Spiderzed▋ 13:05, 6 May 2010 (BST)
MCM Recruitment Ad
I've just spotted that the recruitment ad has been removed from Category:Recruitment, and have thus coordinated with Austin on IRC to update and re-include it. As we found the links and the time stamp hard to read, I also edited the look of the links from the plain blue/purple links to underlined white. Feel free to revert it and to drag me to A/VB if you don't like it ;-) -- Spiderzed▋ 14:36, 6 June 2010 (BST)
- Thanks for taking care of that! I'll try to remember to update the signature every so often. --Sherry talk MCM 16:20, 6 June 2010 (BST)

Had hoped to catch you on #mcm about it. But as I haven't for several days, I'm wondering why you use <br>-tags. Sorting with * or # might lead to more accessible results. Cue
