Hi Jen!
Welcome to the wiki! I hope all is going ok. Fell free to drop me line anytime--Airborne88T|Z.Quiz|PSS 07:58, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

I'm glad you appreciated my contribution. People can get a bit invested in their own point of view, so it's fun to throw rocks at them from time to time. (Although I generally like to avoid online drama. Its a wiki for a browser game, after all.)

re: <insert subject here>
Indeed, one must be careful of what one says. A world where people are held accountable for their words, on the INTERNET? Oh, how the mighty anonymous jerks have fallen! Though I suppose my group impersonation makes me one of those jerks as well. ;[ I don't intend to justify my wrongdoing, merely offer my reasoning: LUEsers don't get revived as easily as pro-survivors do. I figure if my character is going to play "dirty" and shoot his fellow man in the back, he may as well fly another's flag to get a revive under false pretenses. If I am to be judged a criminal, I have no need for delusions of grandeur. And as for wasted AP, there is no such thing when in a siege. If you're going down, go down trying or at least smiling. It's not wasted at all if you build something that lasts (and I don't mean barricades) or you learn something new. I'll look forward to crossing paths with you again in the future--and rest assured I'll be flying my own group's flag in my profile. ;] --Zombie in Pajamas 06:17, 17 June 2008 (BST)
- That bank is either great luck or bad luck, I'm not really sure which. I'd already been nearly killed once by a very determined bounty hunter this morning, but I was healed up by my fellow PKers. Just when I think I'm safe, you say some nice things and kill me. I don't think I've ever laughed so hard at an online game, so thanks for that. As for reporting the bounty, by all means. It's not like I'm going to suddenly drop below KOS, so I have no objections. That would also put your name will forever be listed on my Rogue's Gallery page where you shall live in infamy. Or something.
- And it's always good to be on a revive-on-sight list. That will make one ROS for every 50 KOS lists I'm on, I'd wager. ;] And my fellow LUEsers got to me fairly quickly, as they were most sympathetic to my plight (and in tears from laughing so hard). --Zombie in Pajamas 03:28, 18 June 2008 (BST)
- What list does that put you on? My AIM list, hopefully. Add me if you'd prefer to continue our nice chat without the whole filling of our respective talk pages. The name's "a generic alias" minus the quotes. Otherwise, you've certainly found a place on my "Do Not Kill" list, albeit somewhat grudgingly--after all, if I killed you, you'd actually play as a zombie. ;] --Zombie in Pajamas 21:17, 18 June 2008 (BST)

Read the link for the Qartly Study Group
I read the link for the Qartly Study Group that you thoughtfully commented on to me. I snorted and giggled for a few minutes at the absurdity of a literate and well studied populace, both living and otherwise in a war-torn Apocalyptic setting.
That was a very welcome relief from the formalized background of the DEM I work with everyday.
If I ever see a Zombie stacking books for cataloging I'll not interfere until I get attacked that is. What a libretto for community serving. I can see a lot of ironic comparison to the DEM for their (our) attempt to find some order in an otherwise doomed life. Charles Degaulle 17:43, 8 August 2008 (BST)

Why, thanks!
The CGR helped inspire it, of course. :)
It was made for the page of my other "group" the Cult of the Red Star, so it's really more representative of The bluefish, my fun alt. FT's my 'serious' character, it's only on that page because TB's not represented on the wiki.

Hel's Daughters
You seem like the kind of user who would be a great addition to the Hel's Daughters. A close knit female-only zombie(with a pker auxiliary) group. I've noticed that your user page talked about joining a zombie group and couldn't help trying to raise group awareness.
Just wanted to officially invite you to both to the group and to ruin Dulston for good.--Janine 02:02, 10 September 2008 (BST)

Ronin Gallery
Hey, thanks heaps for your support and help!
Just for the record... IMNSHO a level 12 survivor is in no way, shape or form a "babah". Not even close. Neither is a Level 6, like that Amy Diller you entered. For me, the cut-off is maybe lvl 4... anything above lvl 4 ought to have plenty of ways to level up other than killing zombies in the street.
And... HOLY FUCK that NT building is a madhouse of slayage! The blood gushes... the dismemberment... teh Pwninage!
And... finally... I haven't found any images or ideas/themes I like for a Ronin Gallery template... Except... Maybe... Hmmmmmmmmnnnn..................... --WanYao 20:03, 19 September 2008 (BST)
- Graaaagh... I don't wanna bicker with you... But, here's my logic in response to this: "Wan says that level 6 =/= babah, and that these guys have no excuse." Ok... Here's the thing... Normally people's 2nd or 3rd skill is going to be Free Running, right? And, if they have half a brain, one of the first 3 skills they get will be Diagnosis. So... Let's look at a generic build for a level 5 survivor...Skills are not necessarily in the order you'd buy them...
- Free Running - duh.
- Diagnosis - excellent XP farming skill
- Construction - if you're not a totally selfish jerk, you buy this skill ASAP.
- Shopping - because malls rawk, even without the Bargain Hunting bonus.
- Any XP farming skill of your choice... DNA scanning is cool, so is "missing with an axe", or even beginning to get some Firearms skills.
- So... here we have a Level 5 character with two different ways to farm XP, access to reasonable search success rates in the mall, plus they have Free Running and a skill that makes them useful to other survivors, i.e. Construction. This is a fully viable character and no longer a babah -- an adolscent, yes, a babah, no chance. And, you could be even a bit more XP-hoggish and forgo Construction or even Shopping (and stick with PDs, or perhaps just use an axe) or hell Diagnosis if you're a real trenchcoater... and get one or two or three(!) more combat skills. Therefore by level 5 are a probably a "young adult", by level 6 most certainly you are.
- Sure, killing zombies in the street is a fast way to get XP... And level 6 is not a full grown up... But, once you hit level 5 or 6 you are a totally viable survivor and thereforenot a babah, not by any stretch of the imagination. --WanYao 23:57, 20 September 2008 (BST)
- You sorta win, actually... I'm not going to add this: http://iwrecords.urbandead.info/09-21-08_0000hrs_PRIVATE/OUT_17-95_ronin_b4a-328-5c8.html
- But if he was level 6 ... I'd add him without hesitation. --WanYao 00:37, 21 September 2008 (BST)

You Do Love Us
Thank you for your praise, Jen. And I'll go on the record saying that you will never find a bona fide member of a DEM group killing zombies outside once they graduate from the Academy. One of the first things they drill into every cadet's head is that killing zeds should be an indoor activity. I'll go so far as to promise that if you ever find evidence of one doing so (barring cadets or party antics), I will wear a pretty red dress for a year.--William Told 18:34, 24 September 2008 (BST)

Re: On the RRF and Salt the Land
Hi Jen. RRF do maintain a dead zone in Ridleybank, and lots of players will retire an RRF alt there to help keep it dead, but the group as a whole isn't a Salt the Land group outside of that. Murray has made the point several times to me and others that they don't see the extinction of revival as a viable form of gameplay in UD and their main horde and squads roam far and wide brain farming much like the MoB. The recent sack of Shearbank is a good demonstration of that ... it took barely a week to revive after the RRF destroyed it. Same will happen with Quarlesbank after AU10 hit the NT's and calvert mall. Yagoton should follow soon as well.
Salt the Land is about playing zombies like survivors ... it's about taking and holding NT's, in the case of zeds that means keeping them ruined. Eastonwood Ferals were good for Extinction cos they killed Eastonwood and kept smashing at its 8 neighbours including Caiger. What Extinction has done the last year and a half is take a corner and spread the ruin to its neighbours as far as the AP war allows.
That's the main gameplay difference - we don't think survivors should be allowed to revive. RRF/MoB do. --Zeug 16:19, 11 October 2008 (BST)
