Hello

DiseasedRose.jpg A Sickly Rose
Someone has left a disease stricken red rose on your doorstep...

So we finally meet. Good to see you Vigilis, It was rude of me to open fire on you like that without greeting you first, and for that I apologize. Overall though, I think that meeting went over quite well, and I look forward to seeing you around Southall in the future. Those meetings for me however will be purely for the sake of this conflict; I believe all my personal affairs dealing with you are settled. Take care now; It was a pleasure making your acquaintance.-- Denver  5MoC 09:43, 6 February 2009 (UTC)

Ah, and thus once more you demonstrate the utter trenchy lack of class which your bore of a personality and vulturous group display so embarrassingly and with such grotesque and rotten plumage. --CITIZEN VI 01:07, 7 February 2009 (UTC)
I must say you never cease to amaze Vigilis. I don't believe I have a bore of a personality, and least of all I try to be trenchy, but I will not go into any more detail since those discussion I reserve for people I respect. It truly is a shame, I expected so much more out of you, a legendary Philosophe Knight, and you turn out to be nothing more than a let down. Your statements are without basis, and are made up solely of your opinion. I'm cocky? Coming from the boy that told me to "sod off" before he even knew of me. That is the type of child that I deem cocky, one who is more than confident, since those who are confident still show respect to others. You deemed your abilities so high that common courtesy was beneath you. Besides that, I provide respect to your group time and time again, only to hear nothing but shit about my group come from your mouth, as if it has replaced your ass. I provide my groups calling card, or “black spot” if you will, to all those persons I come across in a manner similar to yours. If they have any questions or comments about our encounter they know where to field them. Call me what you like Vigilis, I do not care, but your hypocrisy is getting to be ridiculous.

"Well well well. You're quite far from the MCM, Mr. Pegleg. Did those nurses you were griefing get to be too much for you? This is for being an annoying scumbag. Next time choose less virtuous groups to attack"

Scumbag? How classy. I mean coming from a Philosophe Knight I'd expect some Latin or a quote from Voltaire. Besides that, If your going to make a statement about somebody's past actions make sure they did those said actions. Bobby didn't participate in the strike on MCM, and since he recently joined the FoD he hasn't even been in the Greentown area. You sure told him though, and that bit about the nurses, cute Vigilis. I mean how am I being a trenchcoater? See, when one makes a comment for example, if I said "You are a hypocrite" and leave it at that, that comment means nothing. You need examples to back up that comment, so if I said "You are a hypocrite since you preach about the education of ignorant survivors when you yourself are full of ignorance" now we're getting somewhere. I can point out your uneducated comment to Bobby, your constant slander of my group, and the first words you said to me. Give it a shot Vigilis. -- Denver  5MoC 09:34, 7 February 2009 (UTC)

It seems that assuming you would know what I was talking about when I said "trenchy and classless" was a mistake. Allow me to explain. I'll try to keep this as short as possible, as it seems you've already used up most of our yearly quota of verbiage.
A trenchcoater traditionally is someone who takes the "badass survivor" role too far, much to the chagrin of those around him. In the case of PKers, "trenchy" generally refers to a person who takes the "badass murderer" role too far, succumbing to a complete fixation on killing people, with no thought at all for the elegance and import of the instant of murder which is, in fact, the defining line between "strange and alluring" and "annoying prick". The difference between our groups is that mine uses murder as a tool for a noble cause, while these days (it wasn't always like this) the FOD apparently pulls names out of a hat. Thus you have crossed the line. It doesn't matter how cool your kill speeches are, you're still a jerk-off PKer. No offense, of course, is intended. If you want to get a good feel for exactly what I mean, go sign up on the PKer alliance board and the PKer hub and lurk for a week. Come back here then and tell me which group of people is more likely to receive a pickaxe to the head from strangers passing on the street. Even though Red Rum is devoted to killing large numbers of randomly selected people while delivering as many crude quips as possible, they are still infinitely more likable than the PKers at the alliance. Why? Because they don't take the game that seriously, they're funny, and they don't decide to grief a bunch of nurses running a school that is likely the best place for noobies in Malton to be. That's your answer. You've allied yourself with TZH. (TZH! What were you thinking?? They're griefing idiots who like to text-rape people. They're worthless scum and should all be burnt at the stake. If there ever were flotsam in Malton, these bastards are it.) If nothing else, that should show you just why I dislike what your group has become so much.
Ah yes, one last thing: You seem to assume that because I don't spew philosophical nothings in Latin and Greek like some demented classical parrot I am therefore "ignorant" and thus a hypocrite. This is stupid, and I advise you to find a better route of attack. At least try to be a little more original than the endless hordes of bereaved victims of the Knights who pound ceaselessly on our doors screaming "Hypocrites! You have attacked me and therefore you are ignorant, because I don't think of myself as being such, and therefore you are hypocritical and should disband!" The kind of ignorance we target is the kind that spreads itself most virulently, like aversion to learning or the destruction of centers of learning, so shut the fuck up about the Latin. ILLUC IVI, ILLUD FECI. -- CITIZEN VI14:56, 7 February 2009 (UTC)
Ah, and now we are getting somewhere. Don't kid yourself if you think you're enlightening me by explaining what it means to be a trenchy or classless Pker. I know the definition, I was asking for you to provide examples, and I'm glad you did. Here is the FoD's situation with the MCM, it has been accepted by my fellow members as an accurate account, and when things with Desmond Styles started to breakdown into slander on our group forum this is what I posted.

"I don't understand why there is such a break down in communication here. This is a fight between friends, originally the Philosophe Knights and the Flowers of Disease. It was understood that the FOD disagreed with the Malton College of Medicine neutral ground policy, since it was being abused by Player Killers and Bounty Hunters alike. So, to accentuate a point, the FOD went into the MCM and killed a number of PKers and BHers, and when no more where to be found, a number of MCM staff. The PK had a problem with the strike since they supported the neutral ground as a part of their whole centers of learning policy. So the best way to solve this disagreement, it was decided, between these two groups was to have a "war". The Spartans, being allied with the PK, asked for hostilities to cease, since they where obligated to join the fight on the side of the PK as long it continued. When hostilities continued, the Spartans then joined the PK in war against the FOD. There you have it. I think that is a fairly accurate account of this whole conflict so far. Some basic facts though, the FOD do not like the fact that bhers and pkers abuse the safe house at MCM. No problem with the pker groups themselves, just when they ravage the countryside of Greentown then expect to remain untouched when they return to the MCM, we have a problem. War was declared on the FOD by the PK because of this incident, but I think from DT's post the PK where understanding of where the FOD where coming from, and again this was more of a fun fight. I don't think there is any need for these hard feelings going back and forth, slander here and there, since it means nothing. This isn't a serious conflict, but it sounds like it's becoming one. So rack up some kills and enjoy fighting someone who fights back."

Pull names out of a hat? PKers and BHers were rubbing up shoulder to shoulder in the MCM neutral zone after a hard day of killing, thinking they where safe. That is ridiculous; if you're a PKer you definitely do not share the same lodging with individuals who are out there to claim your scalp. Besides that we're not griefing the MCM staff, we have killed a few of them, and they have killed a few of us, but I'm pretty sure one of our members publicly stated in the MCM that we would no longer be killing the staff there. I could be wrong, but that's what I remember reading on our forum. I know being a PKer is more about the kill speeches (don't worry none taken), but my group has a cause very similar to yours, and we're very effective at carrying out our goals.
Besides that, TZH? That's probably one of the worst insults anyone can throw around on this wiki. I mean, my group has joined the Pk and any other PKA group time and time again in their efforts against Team Zombie Hardcore. I'm not even going to go into that discussion, since again it's completely unfound. Honestly you can say my group is similar to TZH? I agree with your whole statement about them. In light of that it's just a shame, I mean here I am trying to have a discussion with you and you throw that up like its fact.
Oh, and my route of attack is fine, I don't care about your kill speeches, as long as they're factual. I mean do I have to repeat myself? Bobby wasn't involved in the MCM strike; he hasn't even been to the MCM. So here Vigilis, what is the definition of ignorance? I'll provide it for you, "lack of knowledge, education, or awareness". You made an ignorant statement to Bobby since he wasn't involved with the MCM, in any way shape or form. For other's it's a simple mistake, but with you? I'm not going to let it slip by, your name means awake or watchful for god sakes. Again, you are a hypocrite for being ignorant when the group you are a member of educates the ignorant. I don't care if you speak in Latin, that wasn't the point; the point was you made uneducated statements. Besides that, I'm not targeting your group in these discussions I'm holding with you, I respect the Pk, I mean I've been more then polite to other members and associates I've come across, like Letitia and Bartemius. My group has known Buttle from before, and I won't even kill him due to my groups past relationship with him. I mean do you see? The only person I'm having trouble with is you Vigilis, I came across Sir WV a long time ago when I was just a beginner in the game in real time, and we talked about having a duel. Your group is not hypocritical you are Vigilis. Your missing the points I'm bringing up completely, it's not about the Latin quotes, I'm not calling for your group to disband, I'm saying coming from an individual who says I'm unoriginal and a bore, you sure do have some interesting and original kill speeches, and they're so factual. Not even that big of a thing Vigilis, but by all means focus on the minor points of my argument instead of the major. I'm playing the badass murderer; here let me show you some of my kill speeches.
1234
Yes, I can see where you're coming from, but again, I'm missing the point, since the kill speeches do not matter, but the group I associate does. I associate with the big bad Flowers of Disease, which in your opinion is a classless trenchy outfit. So I am a trenchy classless person. Man, I hate stereotypes. (Nice quote, been there done that, the shut the fuck up was kind of crude but hey, who am I to judge? You are the knight.) Eventus stultorum magister.-- Denver  5MoC 22:03, 7 February 2009 (UTC)

Hm, it seems you know more about this conflict than I do. I wasn't aware that the PK had formally declared war on the FoD per se. This is the sequence of events that I have experienced, and if there are important bits missing that may explain a thing or two:

1. I was with the Knights helping MCM to defend itself against TZH, when seemingly out of nowhere the bodies of my friends are lying in the street with decaying roses on their chests.

2. I sent a message to Hibernaculum asking why the hell he was attacking his allies and aiding the efforts of TZH with regards to MCM. He answers that he doesn't metagame anymore, and just goes with the flow. That, combined with this: http://iwrecords.urbandead.info/01-07-09_0000hrs_PRIVATE/IN_31-71__365-f0a-a9c.html convinces me that the FoD has changed completely, and for the worse.

3. I fight back with my colleagues, and eventually the FoD disappear from the MCM locale.

4. Then we get scouting reports showing that the FoD has been skulking around our mansion. Apparently they've decided to stab their knife deeper into our backs. I head north, see you place a rose on a new PK member's wiki page, then get shot by you.

So as you can see there has been no agreement on my part to enter into a "fun war". All I've seen is the FoD suddenly deciding to be assholes and attacking a hospital for dubious reasons and then heading to the home of the Knights to kill our new members. That is why I have been so pissed off at you, Denver. You're about as welcome in my presence as LUE and the RRF. -- CITIZEN VI 16:17, 8 February 2009 (UTC)

Understood, here is the link to our Forum. I'm not sure if you'd have to apply for embassy status to see the diplomacy forum where the "Declaration of War" thread, started by DT, is posted, but that might help you see this conflict through my eyes.
I get where you're coming from, I have recently joined the FoD (You can check my news page, I keep an accurate record about my doings in Malton now), but loyalty is an important thing to me, and I stand by my group's decision. If my group members where killed by any other group for whatever reason, I would take the same course of action you are, I would treat them with the same hostility. It's understood, and I can't expect a group that we're having conflict with to be all formalities. Besides that though, I can't really disclose any of our group's movements at this time, when the conflict is over I'd be happy to share them with you, but for now I believe them to be classified.
As for killing new members, the declaration of war in my group's eyes was a war against all Philosophe Knights, new, old, and associates. That's war, and since there are no "civilians" in Malton (Everyone carries a gun, can heal, revive, etc.) everyone in your group is a valid target. Looks like it has to be baptism by fire for those members, sorry to say. I mean, I can't force you to believe that our reasons for this conflict aren't as you say "dubious". I can explain to you my side, but I can't make you to accept my thoughts on this matter, or any other matter for that fact. In the end agreeing to disagree is fine, I respect your thoughts on this conflict. Your access to the forum should clear things up; in your eyes we assassinated the Arch-Duke Franz Ferdinand and you guys declared war. I'm not pissed at you, I didn't care for the "sod-off" remark at all, but I understand we're your coming from. I mean, you and I should be able to get along, I don't think we're that much different, just loyal to different groups. When this all becomes a distant memory we'll do a joint strike on a mall or something to that tune. I call all the flotsam, and you can have the uneducated masses.-- Denver  5MoC 07:24, 9 February 2009 (UTC)

The Surrealists

Are The Surrealists going anywhere? I noticed on their talk page that you were planning to bring the group back. Did that happen? --Pestolence(talk) 23:47, 6 December 2008 (UTC)

Cool, thanks. --Pestolence(talk) 00:00, 7 December 2008 (UTC)

Bounty

Alas, getting killed is usually an inconvenience, but a temporary one. Barricading buildings and doing revives are the circle jobs in UD that I partake in with my survivor alt as well. Sure, adding another person to the queue can slightly set things back in an area that is in repair. And more so if that person is doing repairs in the area too. Nevertheless, that's the beauty of Malton; it's in a constant state of change. Buildings are constantly being torn down and built up over and over again. It'd be boring if everything stayed the same. Thanks for the food for thought, though. I enjoy looking at things from different perspectives. --Fiffy 03:41, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

Well, well, if Murphy's Law isn't true, then nothing is. I've scoured my accounts to find a hidden confirmation or password stashed away somewhere for a rainy day. If you can access member passwords, could you send me mine via farseer101@hotmail.com? If you can't, then we'll have to get inventive. Maybe it's just high-time I ask to join up, and we can really get down to business. Who can say... -- User:Bram Russel 9 Aug 2008

PK Page

No problem... Despite what certain people may think, I want the wiki to be an effective resource, and I'll do my best to make sure dumbasses get whats coming regardless of who's page they screw up. Besides the group I used to be a part of and the PK have had "understandings" in the past. Conndrakamod TTBA CFT 02:27, 26 May 2008 (BST)

I would like to ask for your help in creating a signature identical to yours and DT's. I have been trying on my own, but I seem to be failing horribly. Any help you can provide would be most excellent. -- THELORDGUNSLINGER 03:13, 26 May 2008 (BST)

The Surrealists

Yo fo shizzle man up. I'm in Red Rum's IRC right now (irc.nexuswar.com/redrum) and am occasionally there. I'd be well up for rejoining a restarted Surrealists, especially considering the Flat Earth Society is kinda folding. Then again, I don't need to write essays/ study right now, so I may not be fucking around on UD at all. Dun dun da na doodle dee --Karloth Vois TALK RR 00:52, 29 May 2008 (BST)

I don't remember writing that. Hrm! Anyways, go right ahead; I'd love to see the group up and surreal and would happily donate the Supreme Court to the cause. If you're after hosting, the Hub will provide space :D I'm sure there is more to write, but I'm not quite awake. --Sir Topaz DRGR 11:11, 14 July 2008 (BST)
