Most of the buildings in the central area are in ruins, including the hospitals, the fire station and the phone mast Theobald building, where somebody has spraypainted Happy Halloween on a wall. Groups of zombies are drifting around and are inside or outside most buildings, and few if any survivors can be found. This Halloween, it seems the dead really did rise from their graves to terrify the living... Alarion 23:06, 3 November 2009 (UTC)

NecroWatch reported in from The Antell Building. There were 5 zombies within scouting range, none posing any real threat except to the survivors who were loitering outside. 2 at Jefferson Sq, 1 @ Methodius General & one at The Theobald Building. There was also a zombie and survivor out front of Kirby's Auto.--Dr Mycroft Chris 22:59, 2 May 2009 (BST)

The suburb seems mostly repaired, many buildings are powered and zombie presence is very sparse. Most buildings remain devoid of life, though. Crooketon is now a tidy ghost suburb, instead of a ruined ghost suburb. --Doc Groucho 00:58, 29 January 2009 (UTC)

The northern side is mostly repaired, though a few zombie groups are attacking the northern Dewberry Building, Margaret General and Matheos General Hospital.--Doc Groucho 13:28, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
January 14th
Zombies seem to be coordinating to sleep one in each ruined building, hampering any reconstruction effort. A great commitment of a few heavy-duty survivors is required to reclaim each building. --Doc Groucho 15:51, 14 January 2009 (UTC)
January 12th
St. Dorotheus Church, one of the few safehouses in the area, was lost over night, after some clever zombies figured out where the people was coming from. The amount of ruins and lack of a regularly working hospital is making life harder for infected survivors. This morning a couple more zombies were seen standing at the revive point. Antheros General Hospital was recovered by midday, though it isn't expected to last. --Doc Groucho 15:17, 12 January 2009 (UTC)

Update: Mores is EHB, unlit, and empty, and the hospital next door (Methodius) is lit, EHB, and also empty. The immediate area is somewhat well caded, though breakins are frequent. --BobBoberton 02:41, 9 January 2009 (UTC)
Mores Lane PD is lost. Hungry stragglers are strafing all kinds of buildings, making the suburb unsuitable for anybody that doesn't sleep with one eye open and the backpack on. Finding a peaceful neighborhood requires some walking and tools for repairing shelters are a must. --Doc Groucho 15:56, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
January 7th
Update: Almost all buildings have zombies outside, and there are at least six groups of five or more zombies. Overall zombie count is likely to be over 60, which is quite a feat for this ghost version of a forgotten suburb. It seems that any interesting building will be ruined, again, in a couple days.
Damage at the center of Crooketon is speeding up as a combined mob of twenty zombies pushes against a couple survivor pockets. Margaret General Hospital was ruined during the night. Scouting found one dead corpse, possibly from a victim, though the facility has been kept empty most of the time. As the sun set the 6th, the local revive point was still occupied by five standing zombies. Shortage of generators and transmitters is keeping the suburb silent, dark and cold, just a bit more than usual --Doc Groucho 03:53, 7 January 2009 (UTC)
January 6th
Margaret hospital has been up and powered for several days, and zombies from the surrounding area have gathered outside of it and are trying to shut it down. Although survivor resistance is dauntingly small, their skill and experience have prevented the fall of the suburb into complete ruin. --Doc Groucho 15:06, 6 January 2009 (UTC)
January 4th
The northern factory and the surrounding buildings have been overrun and the remaining survivors are leaving the last safehouse. Most buildings were empty and few casualties are expected. --Doc Groucho 20:35, 4 January 2009 (UTC)

Feral zombies are slowly ravaging the center of Crooketon. It looks like what ever survivor presence that was here has vanished. Within a week this suburb is probably gonna fall back into ghosttown status. If you are gonna sleep here, check your surroundings. The break ins are slow, but they do happen.--Slavic 22:07, 1 January 2009 (UTC)

Zombies are slowly laying waste to the northeastern quarter of the suburb. Resistance from a handful of survivors is barely enough to slow their progress. --Doc Groucho 20:30, 28 December 2008 (UTC)
December 26th
There are few ruins in the northern side, and the factory there is powered, but survivor presence there is extremely scarce. A group of five zombies is attacking the Dewberry building. Even though it's still a ghost suburb, sleeping safely is possible if you check what's going on outside and keep barricades up. --Doc Groucho 14:10, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
December 25th
The center of the suburb isn't ruined, though it remains unpopulated. Feral Survivors have powered up the SE factory and the phone mast. The radio transceiver at Bees Building is still operative. Most zombies are solitary wanderers. --Doc Groucho 16:02, 25 December 2008 (UTC)
December 24th
Southern Crooketon is recovering and looks a bit less like a ghost town. Jefferson Square revivification point is clear. A radio station is running and broadcasting information in the district frequency (26.12). Methodius General Hospital and Mores Lane Police Department have been barricaded and powered during the last days, despite the efforts of 6-10 local zombies. There aren't news from the northern side of the suburb yet. --Doc Groucho 13:24, 24 December 2008 (UTC)
December 23rd
Very small pockets of daring survivors are working in the area while dodging a roughly equal number of zombies. Power and other services are very patchy. Nobody should sleep in a building without checking how many zombies are outside. --Doc Groucho 21:10, 23 December 2008 (UTC)

Traveling through the western part of the suburb most of the buildings encountered are in ruin. I've yet to travel east to see if any of the resource buildings are up and manned. It appears that most zed forces have moved on. The lone surviving stragglers and those that came into the suburb to help rebuild have been able to repair most of the ransacked buildings and regain operational control over most resource buildings. A very preliminary scout revealed a genuine survivor presence in the north and central regions. A number of TRPs have been claimed, and most buildings are barricaded. However, most of the buildings scouted were VSB or lower. I'd say there are more than 40 zombies here. My zombie alt just cracked open a school, infected and ate the half-dead survivor inside, and ruined the place. Most of the buildings are ruined, and the ones that are not have at most 3 survivors inside based on previous break-ins. Suburb almost entirely secure with a healthy balance of VSB and EHB buildings throughout. Survivor presence is low but slowly increasing. Few Zombies still seen in the streets in no greater groups then 3 although there have been no break ins for several days. The only visible survivor group is the Malton Defense Corporation. Scouted around Crooktown with my zombie alt and found that almost every building, including all resource points, have been ruined and those buildings that are not ruined have been found to be empty. The only places I could find that were barricaded were three buildings in the last row in the south of the suburb. St. Matheos's and Margaret General Hospitals were both attacked and ruined today by advance squads of Extinction zombie troops on their way down from their recent mauling of Grigg Heights and its Merson NT. It is not known as yet whether this latest incursion by Extinction is the precursor to a long term presence in the suburb but residents are advised to batten down the hatches as a large number of feral zombies who have been following the organized horde's path of destruction since the aftermath of LUE's Caiger Mall rampage could follow shortly. --Zeug 16:21, 28 August 2007 (BST)

Passed through Crooketon today and saw a large number of resource buildings sacked. Jefferson Square had a queue of nine zombies. While there seem to be no large mobs (think the largest was of nine outside a hospital), the buildings in central Crooketon are pretty well trashed. Didn't check the inside of the buildings, but it's a fair bet there are zombies inside. As for the cemetary RP...given that the church and closest building (Dewberry Building) are both trashed, it might be inactive. This 'burb is no longer yellow. -- NeenerNeener 19 August 2007

This area of Malton is very dangerous at this time. In a daring morning raid, 3 members of the Lebende Tote GMT/Alpha strike team found 3 members of The (not quite so) Invisibles resting in a cracked safehouse. A blaze of gunfire and gnashing of teeth left 2 Totes pumped and dumped, while 1 Invisible sacrificed himself in order for his comrades to escape. The Totes realized that they were not chewing on n00bs in Griggs anymore. Good show! Cheers! --Doc smith 13:23, 29 June 2006 (BST).

The Bees Building in the southeast sector is currently being occupied by four zombies. The factory to the east of St. Dorotheus's (That is how it is spelled in-game, even know it is incorrect punctuation) church has only one zomb in currently and another factory directly two spaces to the first's south has three zombies.

The large hordes have moved on to suburbs further East and North. However, conditions remain quite dangerous as zombie numbers have climbed dramatically after the attacks and resource buildings and many surrounding buildings are occupied by at least one guard zombie. Experiments removing zombies and barricading the buildings has resulted in rapid, organized strikes by zombies from surrounding buildings that quickly remove the barricades and reestablish the zombie guard. It's recommended that you DO NOT sleep in resource buildings and set up safehouses at least a couple blocks away to avoid their attention. --Impetus 07:39, 13 Jan 2006 (GMT)
January 3rd
Methodius General Hospital (6,68) seems safe, no undead for a few blocks and none inside.
- We warn fellow travelers to stock up on supplies and AP before venturing into the hot zone. We also suggest that travelers scout for multiple safe houses before bedding down. We strongly urge that travelers have the Free Running skill. If travelers have the construction skill, strengthen the current safehouse barricades to extremely heavily barricaded.
- There are large coordinated zombie hordes in Crooketon. Members of MotA (confirmed sightings) and the Undying Scourge have parked 40 zombies inside Mores Lane Police Dept. 5, 68. Antheros General Hospital, Margaret General Hospital, Furneaux Square Fire Station and the Theobald Building (Mobile Phone Mast) have fallen to the zombie menace (confirmed).
- The Undying Scourge has recently moved into the suburbs of Crooketon and Mornington causing much panic and devastation to primary structures in the area. --Impetus 00:24, 29 Dec 2005 (GMT)
