Romero-Like Zeds in Monroeville

Suggestion scope
Monroeville
Suggestion description
Since Mornoeville is being closed in three days time, Kevan has said that nobody may create a new character in the city. Since this is the case, if zombies continue in their immortal state, it will all just draw to the one conclusion: Zombies win.
I propose that instead of being able to stand back up, zombies die indefinitely, after the gates finally close. This will stick closer to the 'Romero Cannon' and also provide a more challenging and interesting situation for both Zombie and Survivor characters.
The concept has been suggested in one form or other in the past, but as the gates are closing on Monroeville, I feel the survivors there could use a fighting chance, and the zombie players an opportunity to show their ability to plan ahead.
Thanks for your time. -Beya Turner

- Change - I would feel better if NecroTech sets up camp at a random location every week. --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 22:17, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
- I'd like it more if only Headshots killed, but I'd like survivors to have a chance in monroeville.--KF 22:21, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
- Keep - Makes the game more interesting and gives zombies a reason to actually play instead of just wait it out. I would also suggest that the winning side have some sort of bonus applied in Malton, such temporarily increased hit rate, search rate, lower AP usage, etc. as a prize. Make theremnants of Monroeville into a contest. Illusionist 22:53, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
- Change - Headshot = Permadead. --Heretic144 02:21, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
- Keep - Yes yes yes yes! Let's see who can last longer the dead or the living.--Jamie Cantwell3 02:52, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
- Keep - Otherwise Kevan might as well close the city down along with the quarantine; where's the allure of continuing when you're either a) forced to stay a zombie for the rest of the game world's existence with perpetually dwindling full-XP targets, or b) doomed to eventually become a zombie because the entire world's playerbase is after you and can't ever be stopped? I'm reminded of a passage from a Zelda comic: "Don't you see? You defeat him time and time again, but all Ganon has to do is win once and he rules Hyrule forever!" --Shigogouhou 07:31, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

- Keep I have a character there that's still alive, and I'd like a chance to win with him. -- Rohndogg1 18:02, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
- Keep/Change - As Heretic. I also agree that infection should incurable. I think at best, Monroeville FAKs should just slow it down a bit. --Hhal 18:03, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
- Change - So zombies lose 10 Max HP every time they die, infections are incurable, no Lurching Gait, there is a mere CHANCE to infect (25%), and headshot takes away and extra 5 Max HP, and does not work on brain rot. SOmething along those lines... --BoboTalkClown 01:10, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
Kill Votes
- Kill/changeI'm more than happy to have zombies die from headshot, but you can't pick and choose from the Romero genre. Headshot kills? Fine. As long as any infectious bite is incurable. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 22:17, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
- Kill I am sorry, but Kevan has a plan for Monroeville. Gonna have to "roll with the punches" on this one--Airborne88T|Z.Quiz|PSS 22:19, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

- Kill - Monroeville is so large a stalemate would eventually be reached between the last few remaining zombies and survivors. --Banana reads Scoundrell for all of Yesterday's News, Today! 00:07, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
- Kill - It seems obvious to me that he is keeping that map until all survivors are dead. It will be interesting to see who is the last survivor, imagine the bragging rights. --FXI 00:34, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
- As above. The idea may be good, but it would have been better if it was limited to Headshot and made clear at the start of the new map, so that we knew what we were getting ourselves into. Oh, and make infectious bite incurable if you want to stick with Romeo cannon.--ShadowScope 00:57, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
- Kill The zombies are supposed to win. Remember "Land of The Dead"? "Day of the Dead"? ----Secruss|Yak|Brahnz!|CGR|PKA||EMLN|Templates|RRF|RFTM|Crap|WHOZ||MU|GN|C2008||02:05, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
- Kill - Neat idea, but the headshot and infection ideas mentioned above would be a more interesting alternative. --ZsL 03:49, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
- Kill - all zombies would be gone. --WanYao 05:25, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
- Change - I agree with Rosslessness. This should only be possible with the "headshot" skill. Other people have made a valid point about infectious bite being incurable. Make those two changes, and you will have my support. Yes, all zombies might end up being eliminated, but in the current mode, all survivors will end up being eliminated, so this map is already on its way to being over. Might as well give the survivors a shot at winning it.--Dr Doom86 T PSS 05:28, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
- Change - As per Rosslessness. -- John RubinT! ZG 07:21, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

- Kill - Monroeville is going to be inevitably closed down either way, --Vault 19:00, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
