20080410 Siphoning

--Sapporo 15:51, 10 April 2008 (BST)

Suggestion type Item Manufacture

Suggestion scope Survivors

Suggestion description Available only in carparks with no zombie presence, a survivor would be given the option to produce a can of fuel for the cost of 20 AP. The 20 AP cost is barely above the average number of turns it would take to find a fuel can in an unlit auto repair shop.

Keep Votes

  1. Keep - Of oourse it's a good idea.--Sapporo 17:39, 10 April 2008 (BST)
  2. Fair enough. You do have to go outside, at risk of not finding an entry point. The only thing is, this is a guaranteed action, that is, you are guaranteed a success, and saves you lots of real-world time. I think that the AP cost should purposely be higher than the search AP cost, but otherwise, a good suggestion.-- Quizzical  Quiz  Speak  16:14, 10 April 2008 (BST)
  3. Keep - I love this idea. Gives Car Parks a use, and seems a lot like a fuel version of syringe Manufacturer. Everything about this suggestion makes perfect sense. I'd also suggest that you can search for fuel cans in a car park as well, but that's just me. --Tselita 16:41, 10 April 2008 (BST)
  4. keep - sure--CorndogheroT-S-Z 18:08, 10 April 2008 (BST)
  5. Keep - Ditto --Gene Splicer 18:31, 10 April 2008 (BST)
  6. Keep - I like the strategy involved in suggesting people run outside, which would be a terrifying experience in a zombie movie. --Pgunn 18:54, 10 April 2008 (BST)
  7. Keep - As above.--Studoku W! 18:56, 10 April 2008 (BST)
  8. Keep - Yummy flavour. – SadYear 19:22, 10 April 2008 (BST)
  9. Keep - I like this. --Diano 20:16, 10 April 2008 (BST)
  10. Keep - I also like this. --Pvt human 23:28, 10 April 2008 (BST)
  11. Keep - manufacture syringe for gas cans, don't see any harm in that. --FXI 02:25, 11 April 2008 (BST)
  12. Keep -I actully really like the idea.--Airborne88Zzz1.JPGT|Z.Quiz|PSS 02:49, 11 April 2008 (BST)
  13. Keep - 20 AP seems a little high, but what the hell. --Private Mark 04:22, 11 April 2008 (BST)
  14. Keep - Very cool, I like it,--Jamie Cantwel3 05:41, 11 April 2008 (BST)
  15. Keep - I see the concern with AP cost compared to syringe manufacture, however syring manufacturing is normally done in a barricaded building where you don't have concerns of running to safety after getting one and can effectivly just stay there manufacturing without needing to move around to cover. Personally I'd still use factorys because when searching for generators I tend to find 1-2 fuel cans before hand. --Kamikazie-Bunny 09:26, 11 April 2008 (BST)
  16. keep - I like the idea, very apocalyptic The Mad Axeman 15:15, 11 April 2008 (BST)
  17. Keep -If only because I now have 4 generators with no fuel. --Officer 123satsitx 16:10, 11 April 2008 (BST)

Kill Votes

  1. Weak kill - Maybe it's just me, but my characters always seem to find too many fuel cans and too few generators. Maybe if the search odds were tweaked or generators were made harder to break. --Explodey 17:33, 10 April 2008 (BST)
  2. Kill - Clever, but the carpark has its own purpose. --Vandurn 19:27, 10 April 2008 (BST)
  3. Kill - If the 20 AP cost is actually "barely above the average number of turns it would take to find a fuel can in an unlit auto repair shop" then I think this is overpowered. It makes a gamble into a sure thing for no real cost. Compare to syringe manufacture- 20 AP is almost double what it takes to find a syringe without power, and quadruple what it takes with power- and it requires power! Anyhow, scrounging fuel in a carpark seems like it would be LESS of a sure thing than doing so in a gas station, no? SIM Core Map.png Swiers 20:13, 10 April 2008 (BST)

  5. Carparks have a purpose? Say what? The only thing I can think of is to make it a % chance of working. But as Swier's said, if your going to relate it to syringe manufacture, then do the math.--Pesatyel 04:41, 11 April 2008 (BST)
  6. Kill/Change - Not too big a fan of this, but if it is implemented, needs an increase of search rate, as Swiers. --Druuuuu OcTRR 06:31, 11 April 2008 (BST)
  7. Kill - Swiers makes some very good points. --Deadtanian 08:56, 11 April 2008 (BST)
  8. Kill- as per swiers. reluctantly. and carparks already have a use, WTF??? enlighten us ignorant masses, please. --WanYao 10:12, 11 April 2008 (BST)
  9. Kill/Change - As Swiers. --Midianian|T|T:S|C:RCS| 12:26, 11 April 2008 (BST)
  10. Weak Kill -- UCFSD 13:03, 11 April 2008 (BST)
  11. Kill - I just don't like it. wish you had put this in suggestion discussion, help and editing first. I have lots of input, but won't bother now that it's up for voting. --Jack S13 T! PC 18:01, 11 April 2008 (BST)
  12. Kill - As Swiers with changing around percentages and AP and stuff. --ZsL 18:16, 11 April 2008 (BST)
