NPOV
I provided a "template" for organising suburb information when I rewrote the Dunell Hills page. No, it's not the only way to go about this... But it's one way... The DMZ deserves a mention... But... no one should get a special, unique section promoting their group. No one. --WanYao 17:09, 9 April 2008 (BST)
Museum Pages
I recently came across the Chudleyton Museum page (Chudleyton_Museums)... and oh my, does it need a bit of work. Should we carve it up into separate location pages, or keep it as one? Anybody else who has some decent material to place within the museum page, do so!--Dux Ducis 06:26, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

I have left the Cuthbert General Hospital only to find the entry point I left but minutes ago has been overbarricaded and their now seems to be a zombie incursion in the area. So to the inconsiderate person or persons overbarricading the Librarys and Clubs, Where were you when you were really needed like at the Hospital the other day. Also the zombies who were attacking the Hospital may be trying to breaking into the Kenefie Lane Police Dept now. --Jinjinkas 22:34, 3 October 2006 (BST)
- I don't know who's doing this, but it's definitely a problem. Whenever I step outside I have to run to another suburb to get back in. --Kleptonis 21:49, 24 October 2006 (BST)
- The Apsey Urban Militia have encountered this problem as well, and we are trying to keep the 'cades as the uniform barricading policy outlines. At the moment though, this is hardly a problem as 95% of Chudleyton lies in ruin after the Shacknews incursion...--Dux Ducis 06:29, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

I had just made it back to Caiger Mall, and started reloading my weapons. I check back to see, "NCPeter has hit you for 3 damage" repeatedly, until, well, you know. Who is this turd, what's his deal, and where can I find him?

Chudleyton wiki page protected?
I can't seem to edit the news ... someone with privs has inadvertently protected it? --Zeug 11:03, 10 April 2008 (BST)
- Yeah ,there was a big edit war yesterday. Its protected now until they can sort it out. --Nitro378 T JNL 11:06, 10 April 2008 (BST)
Oh I see, a helpful lil gnome and a survivor edit war. Well speaking as a zed I don't care either way, although DHPD are a historic group in UD so why not cut them some slack AND LET ME EDIT THE WIKI NEWS?
- Valiant DHPD Officers have reclaimed west Chudleyton's Haraway NT and its free runs into Peddlesden Village offering the nearest shelter for survivors fleeing the recent and spreading carnage at Caiger Mall.--Zeug 11:10, 10 April 2008 (BST)
- The protection was mainly to do with The Dead vs. DHPD and their categories. The cause can be found here and here. Happy reading! Acoustic Pie 11:12, 10 April 2008 (BST)
- It's got nothing to do with your link. The category was removed and not reverted. The edit war and subsequent locking was due to this change -- boxy talk • i 11:37 10 April 2008 (BST)
- I can understand the lil storm in a teacup over the group cats and have been following that, katthew is rather amusing and has a valid point about groups "owning suburbs" via category links. This storm however is just about the burb description and has stopped me updating the news with an item of interest to both survivors and zeds. No matter there tho as Extinction has already trashed Haraway and will have to do without the extra brains the item might have added. But whether wan yao and "friends" like it or not the DHPD and its DMZ are a fact of life in NW Malton and have been for at least a Malton decade and as a member of Extinction I welcome their inclusion in the suburb description simply because it's accurate. They've held on as a cohesive entity since forever and continue to do so even when obliterated by The Dead and harrassed by Extinction and it's certainly within the mods privileges to accept that as a historical fact. --Zeug 18:59, 10 April 2008 (BST)
- Yeah that's beautiful and everything man, but the DMZ has absolutely no business in any suburb descriptions. Even at the height of their powers it was an oversight to allow them to brand large sections of the wiki, not just the fact that the DMZ now only exists in memory. Yes it's a pain that you can't add your news to the page at the moment, but it sadly seems to be a necessary evil to protect the NPOV. --Deadtanian 19:46, 10 April 2008 (BST)
- The DMZ still exists as a point of contention so long as DHPD holds on as a cohesive pro-survivor force, no matter if they're mostly walking dead for the time being. It's an NPOV fact that they remain cading and reviving when they get the chance and a matter of interest for any survivors and zeds reading the suburb description. It's also an NPOV fact that The Dead has obliterated the DMZ as a safe zone and that Extinction has patrolled it for the last year, something the newbie survivor should beware of. I'm all for including relevant information in the suburb descriptions, the current description is anemic and kind of pointlessly stupid.--Zeug 20:00, 10 April 2008 (BST)
- So where do you draw the line? Every group that creates an imaginary zone gets a mention on the suburb description? No. The DHPD created the 'DMZ' and PKed players for not playing the game the way that they themselves wanted it to be played. The Dead could very legitimately claim any section of the map they desired and indeed could place a very large horde of zombies at a location of your choice within hours. We don't expect a mention, not only that but indeed we shouldn't get a mention. The wiki is for everyone and should be utterly non-partisan. You're confusing the status-quo with legitimacy, just because it's been there for a long time doesn't mean it should ever have been there in the first place. --Deadtanian 21:03, 10 April 2008 (BST)
- Nah, we just have different ideas of NPOV and what the burb descriptions should be used for. I think they should be like backpacker info. If I was going to Chudleyton I'd want a short blurb on geography, one on the history and one on the general situation. And where do you draw the line? It would be pointlessly stupid for instance deleting any reference to Eastonwood Ferals in the Eastonwood description, or RRF in Ridleybank, just for the sake of a totally bland and pointless definition of "NPOV". I think The Dead's four Divisions deserve mention in every significant suburb where survivors claim some sort of ascendancy, like Dulston for instance, and especially in the DMZ where "The Dead of Dunnell Hills" first started. This isn't being "partisan" it's a NPOV statement of fact that would add balance AND be useful for any player venturing into Malton for the first time.--Zeug 21:22, 10 April 2008 (BST)

Great Suburb Group Massacre 2010
All suburb wiki pages are undergoing a clean up to remove inactive groups from the group listing (see here: this suburb's groups). If you are a group currently listed in this suburb, you will be contacted on your group's talk page within the next few days and asked to reply, indicating that you are active in this suburb. Groups that fail to reply within two weeks of being contacted will automatically be removed from the suburbs where they are listed.
We're posting here in the hopes that more groups will be aware of the clean up and can respond appropriately, since our team does not have the time nor the manpower to seek out every group in-game or track down its group members elsewhere on the wiki. If you know that some groups in your suburb do not check the wiki, please be a good neighbor and let them know that they NEED to check it for this, or else they will be unlisted in the near future.
The wiki members coordinating the cleanup will be using the table below to track their progress in communicating with the various groups. Please do not edit it if you are not involved with The Great Suburb Group Massacre 2010 team.

- Thank you for your cooperation as we cleaned up the group listings for this suburb. Your help in reaching out to groups and replying to our requests has been much appreciated. Yonnua Koponen Talk ! Contribs 15:42, 10 February 2010 (UTC)
I can confirm that the DHPD is still active in this burb - we responded on our talk page and seem to have be confirmed for the other areas that we play in, but not Chudleyton. Sanpedro 02:44, 1 February 2010 (UTC)
- Don't worry. A lot of the folks participating in the GSM don't check the group talk pages until the two weeks are up, that way they can do it all in one go, rather than doing it piecemeal as each group confirms. That's why some of the suburb talk pages have you listed as confirmed, while others might still have a due date for you. They'll all get rechecked before the end though, so it'll work out. —Aichon— 07:03, 1 February 2010 (UTC)

Barricade plan
I had a tough time trying to find an entry point in this suburb... ALL key buildings are EHB which makes this sub useless for new players and drives new players away from it. Someone needs to keep those cades a bit down or change the barricade plan to a stricter one (that will of course drive new people away). I am willing to join or start a new group with anyone interested in taking care of this suburb. (My character is low level but I am an old player.) I'll check back for answers here. --Tritonio 00:31, 21 March 2011 (UTC)
