Pashenton is a suburb of Malton, located in the northeast section of the city. The suburb contains several locations of interest including many cinemas, the Travka Vodka Distillery (76,19), the Quinton Monument (74,15), Goverd Park (78,17), the The Carew Museum (74,13) and the infamous Club Riste (71,19). Pashenton is used by many nearby survivors as a source of NecroTech equipment, especially survivors from nearby Rolt Heights, where there are no NecroTech buildings. Zombie density here tends to be somewhat low.

[edit] Pashenton - Malton's Movie Mecca!

Pashenton began as a relatively small settlement on the outskirts of Malton proper, notable for small vegetable farms and quaint atmosphere. With only one road into central Malton at the time, the suburb managed to stay relatively undeveloped until well into the 19th century, and was renowned for farmer's markets and parks. This would change, however, with the advent of the industrial revolution.

In the late 19th century Malton Rail introduced special workman's trains and fares on its newly opened branch lines. Pashenton's low-lying fields and market gardens were then rapidly transformed into cheap housing for the lower-middle and working classes, who were able to commute cheaply to inner Malton. This fare policy stimulated the relatively early development of the area into an important Malton suburb, and the pastoral atmosphere slowly began to fade away as more and more land was filled by residential developments and commercial buildings.

The affordability of housing and the abundance of trees began to draw middle class workers from the nearby industrial neighborhoods such as Rolt Heights, and the lower classes who had given Pashenton its first influx of population began to move out when their commute became too long for their liking. The suburb gradually took on a middle class character, and an abundance of nickelodeon movie theaters, hotels, and other entertainment and tourist buildings began to be built in the suburb.

Today Pashenton is famous for the Summer Film Festival, where citizens from around the country flock to our many cinemas and movie theaters and enjoy film awards and a variety of domestic and foreign cinema. Weekend tour packages can be purchased for a reasonable price at the Pashenton Chamber of Commerce at Obern Plaza. Come and see our Pashenton pride!

The above was taken from a pre-incident pamphlet published by the Pashenton Chamber of Commerce.

Hello former BOW member here. I see that the surburb in real bad shape once again. And surivors numbers are low. How about the surivors group form one big group called Suviorus for Pashenton?(S4P) It help strenghten us all as we work together as one and we can fousc on fighting the zombie horde together. Who with me? yell1011

Doesn't seem like there are any problems in Pashenton to me. Where exactly is the problem at? Zephyer 10:29, 14 June 2008 (BST)
Well, not in Pashenton itself. I mean Santerville which has the closest mall. Me and a few other BOW members are going to the mall to help out. You with us? Yell101 19:40, 14 June 2008 (BST)
Heh, now that's rare. A BoW member who's asking a Cult of the Fallen God member to join him? I thought you guys had a rather unique and delicate problem with us. Don't get me wrong, it's nice of you to ask, but my place is in Pashenton with the cult.Zephyer 03:00, 15 June 2008 (BST)
Dang,I was hoping you be stupid enough to go to Santerville to try and kill me. But you can't blame a guy for trying. And yes I knew you were apart of the Cult of the Fallen God. I remember you PKing me a few times....And the problem we have, could be with the whole trying to kill us. We havn't forgotten. Yell101 07:02, 15 June 2008 (BST)

My first action upon my triumphant return was to punch an RP griefer in the forehead. The little jerk was level 19, he should have known better. Did the zombies get bored with kicking our asses and start playing poker with spare brahnz or something? -Lt Wood 04:43, 23 May 2008 (BST)

Well, if the overall view of Malton is to believed, we are looking at the end days. Over 75% of Malton has been wiped flat, overrun with zombies. Whether this has anything to do with recent changes which made it easier for Zombies to storm buildings, I will not comment. I myself am laying in a ditch somewhere in Pashenton, half-lucid from the drops I sucked from the end of a Necrotech syringe. Had I not emptied my guns before being dragged down some months before, I may have attempted to use it on myself by now. I doubt my arms even have the strength left in them to do so. -Lt Wood 16:52, 15 April 2008 (BST)

Malton looks dead, indeed it does. I used to be a firm believer that Zeds were underpowered and that they needed help, however now that they recently learned to destroy buildings better than most bombs, it has indeed made them formidable foes. That coupled with The Bash pretty much flattened any resistance. As for Pashenton, it is too far from the frontlines for any organised expedition to try and come salvage the pieces. It requires better organisation than just word of mouth to muster what it takes to make a push in a cut off Suburb. I, at the time of being, hold no organisation over my cult, I just hope that they've been waiting for our masters return, for it is nigh... --Senister 10:06, 16 April 2008 (BST)
Its almost game over, huh? But yeah, the Zombies sudden abbility to go "kamehameha" on every building they enter, sort of kills the idea of rebuilding too. Zephyer 16:18, 16 April 2008 (BST)
Pashenton will rebuild soon. Revive efforts are ongoing. --Kingofallpie 21:43, 18 April 2008 (BST)

Lance Building is empty and ruined. No zombies inside, but 5 zombies gathered outside. 20 zombies at Homer Street, possibly waiting for a revive. Traveling from Earletown into Pashenton most zombies groups were below 3, although there are a few groups ranging between 5-7. Have only traveled through the North-West section of Pashenton, and currently am in a zombie state. Survivors could possibly regain buildings with minimal losses, although high levels of revivification syringes as well as barricading skills would be needed for the first week. Major zombie resistance unlikely to occur if reconstruction began. -- Aristophrenia 16:19, 6 April 2008 (EST)

Woolven building is overrun, 36 Zombies out or inside of it. 12 zombies in Blaxall Auto Repair. Lots of Feeding groans. And we need Stinger RP online, Or a backup. Other mobs or zombies in surrounding areas? --Dr Cory Bjornson 17:35, 31 March 2008 (BST)

Pillinger Auto (78,15) appears to have fallen. Saint Seraphim's Hospital (79,15) has 1 zombie inside, but is still powered and lightly barricaded. If anyone have AP these would be good places to protect, with Saint Serraphim's Hospital needing the most immediate attention.--Aristophrenia 11:53, 29 March 2008 (EST)

Join the Pashenton Reconstruction!

Efforts are currently underway to restore Pillinger Auto [78.15], St. Seraphim's Hospital [79,15] and Rawkins Row PD [79,17]. This moderate goal will improve the general survivability of the suburb by a great deal, and only requires the elimination of a scattered post-horde smear of zombies - many of which would likely accept revivification.

As of now, only a small handful of survivors sheltering nearby are tending to this task. If you are a moderately skilled survivor in the suburb of Pashenton and you are concerned about the future of your suburb, help us set up this small step toward putting Pashenton back in the green.--Alcazabedabra 13:33, 28 March 2008 (PST)

[edit] March 26th

Woolven Building is still lit and EHB. Three survivors inside, 6 zombies outside. The Lance building is in ruin. 20 zombies just NE of the Woolven Building (revive point - chances are most of these zeds are survivors waiting for revives). Lots of small groups of zeds all over the suburb..--Johnny Skrull 20:52, 26 March 2008 (CST)

Bagehot Way Police Dept (73, 18) is ruined, as well as surrounding buildings. Few zombies outside. --TomAngelo 21:16, 24 March 2008 (UTC)

The MOB has turned it's attention to St Seraphim's Hospital, where feeding groans were heard. An undisclosed number of sleeping survivors have been killed there as well, and a few managed to escape after putting up a brave fight against 20 zombies. St Seraphim's is now ruined. --FLZombie 03:44, 24 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] March 23rd

In the early hours of March 23rd, Dungey Alley Police Department was taken by the MOB's Inquisition. Six survivors were killed on site, and yet another nine were bitten and infected. Additionally, the valiant defenders of Blaxall Auto Repair, aka Fort Roughneck, where a sign proclaimed, "Welcome home, Reds. We kept the place toasty. Lt W", succumbed to another zombie attack. The 2-3 victims there were dragged out, and ultimately killed by passing feral zombies.--FLZombie 03:44, 24 March 2008 (UTC)

Running out of ammunition in the middle of an attack really stinks. Thought I'd share that. Lt Wood 12:59, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] March 22nd

The Militant Order of Barhah struck yet another two blows to the defenders of Pashenton. In the early hours of today, the Woolven Building NT and the factory at 73, 17 were targeted in coordinated assaults. 20 survivors were killed by the horde.--FLZombie 04:06, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

So why the hell is this place still green? Updated to Orange. The man 12:36, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
BREAKING NEWS: There are unconfirmed reports of several deep, echoing groans emanating from the installations of the Lance Building NT in the NE of the Pashenton. This was the only remaining NT building in Pashenton, after the Woolven Building had been overrun early this morning. At this time, survivors are cautioned from approaching this area, any and all NT activities will have to be diverted until such time that the NT buildings can be repaired.--FLZombie 14:24, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

Over 20 killed my hairy ass. People thought this was another Bash and fled like headless chickens. So far I've only seen co-ordinated assaults on specific buildings by moderate sized mobs. Bashes consist of hundreds of Zeds, and flatten entire suburbs like a wave. Stop panicking and get back here to help. -Lt Wood 05:29, 23 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] March 21st

Breaking news, a mob of 25 - 30 zombies is currently inside Breeden Police Department in the west of Pashenton, killing the survivors inside (15- 20). Broadcast and contact the defense groups! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Havok78 (talkcontribs) at an unknown time.

The Militant Order of Barhah has apparently arrived to Pashenton, attacking the Breeden Way Police Department during a cross border incursion from neighboring Huntley Heights - that had apparently been exhausted of edible targets in the past week. They are following typical MOB procedure for destroying their targets, and many survivors found themselves dragged out of the police building where they had been stationed, and into the waiting arms of two dozen hungry zombies that were outside. Survivors should seek hardened shelters for the next week, while the MOB passes through.--FLZombie 22:07, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] March 13th

Hey, just here for a little check-up on your beautiful suburb. There have not been any updates in ten days, ten days in which glorious Pashenton has been revitalized to good as new. Unfortunately, as a zombie, I lack the cerebral capacity to check the NecroNet and officially check the zed count in the area. Any volunteers? I'd like to get us at LEAST down to yellow, if not green, soon.--Vandurn 18:03, 13 March 2008 (UTC)

Things are... quiet. Several days ago I was struggling to hold a building containing several first-level newbies, who didn't have the appropriate skills to help, meaning break-ins were frequent. Another lv20+ player showed up, and things suddenly died down considerably. Since then I've been keeping an eye on the 'cades for 'Fort Roughneck' and slowly gathering supplies. Haven't seen any signs of any Roughnecks though, Santlerville radios have been bristling with Roughneck chatter, so no doubt they've been busy. There are mild numbers of Zeds about, mostly scattered about in groups of two or three. I'm halfway through a patrol to check on Tactical Resource Buildings, stopped at Dungey Alley to lend a hand. Things are looking quiet, I suggest status be dropped to yellow. -Lt Wood 16:19, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] March 3rd

I couldn't find those 50 zombies, more like 30 spread over the entire suburb. Nor did I find more than two ruined TRPs when I ran around the 'burb today. Moved the danger level one step down. --Rettaw 20:31, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

Agreed. Things are pleasantly quiet around my neck of the woods, I've been going berzerk with a fire-axe and some FAK's to keep some local newbies alive. I could really go for some ammunition though... Lt Wood 11:50, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
I'd offer a helping hand, but my hands are currently claws. Yes, it seems like the suburb has calmed down a bit. Save that Woolven is still ruined (I cleared it out) and there's a thin layer spread all over the southwest side. I'm not in any revive cues, I'm surprised to say that being a zombie is actually pretty fun. Good luck! I'm off to cool my heels for a little while, I've got a bounty on my head. --Vandurn 23:43, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Things to do while in Pashenton

  • Watch a play! - The The Mist Library is famous for putting on the very first Drama Club performance of Army of Darkness. It's a great place to watch some stage entertainment, and the selection of children's books and technical manuals is one of the best in Malton. You'll definitely find something to do at the library, but don't forget to bring your library card!
  • See a tapestry! - The Carew Museum is one of Malton's finest Tapestry Museums, with exhibits of Egyptian, East Asian, and Peruvian tapestries on display. The carefully maintained museum boasts almost 750 pieces of ancient and contemporary tapestry, a "Hall of Quilts", and the Sevigny Mural, painted by inmates of the Malton Asylum. What more could you ask for?
  • Tour a crypt! - Sure, you spend every day fighting off hordes of the undead. But back in the day, crypts were cool, and only St. Luke's has one you can tour!

[edit] Barricade Policy

The initial barricade plan of Pashenton can be found here, and is current as of 9 December 2007. Please implement it and, if you have Aps and spray cans, tag buildings with barricade levels inside and directions to nearest entry point outside.
