Suburb Number: 29

Gibsonton is a suburb of Malton, located in the northeast section of the city. One of the more important buildings within the suburb is Oram Walk PD, which was considered one of the most prominent safe houses in the early days following the initial outbreak. Home of St. Matthew's Cathedral.

Before the Outbreak, Gibsonton was a depressing working class district, with several factories and warehouses. A Cathedral had long stood that served the workers who lived here, and a number of pubs opened up to give them a place to chill after a long day of work. After the 1980s, few factories remained, and the local officials turned to tax incentives for white collar jobs and tourism, the latter which centered around the beautiful Cathedral and newly opening museums as attractions. The pubs continued to make good business, now with higher prices for the tourists, but the pub-owners maintained lower prices for the blue-collar locals, who would mug the tourists and confess their vices the next morning in the Cathedral.

Sorry if this is inappropriate, my friend and I are planning a jouney requiring a break for the nigh to collect another friend who turned up on the in Vinetown, the Goulding Hotel would be the perfect stop, however I cannot find its status and as we don't want to be locked out and eaten, I would like to know before we stop if it would be acessible and defendable without being able to free fun? August 4^th

Single digit zombies around Oram PD. After that, I did a freerunning move east. Bending Auto Repair was secured, otherwise the buildings between Oram and Canner were VSB or EHB for the most part. Didn't see many survivors inside though. -- ZombieHunter2009, 1919 (EDT)

Downgraded to dangerous. Most resources building under heavy attack, heavy structural damage to infrastructure. Most survivors have fled. Sporadic pockets of survivor resistance remain, centered mainly in the east. Western resistance is under strain from attack on neighboring suburbs. Survivors without a skill set of construction and weapons training are advised to temporarily leave the suburb for the duration of the fight. Generators and fuel cans for the few remaining of the former are in desperate demand, as well as toolboxes. Those with any of these items are urged to aid in the recovery of Gibsonton. The 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team, despite valiant efforts by all of its members to impede the progress of the undead, has been largely unsuccessful due to large groups of hungry feral zombies that have seemingly flooded the area following the fall of Pitneybank. Survivors who are staying in the suburb are asked to maintain communication with one another to ensure success in the coming battles. The 173rd Airborne is just one such group looking to coordinate with fellow survivors. Pk'ing activity in the area is sporadic and it is believed all major pk'er groups are not currently in the area. Oram Walk Police Department has been broken into and inhabitants attacked. I killed all but one zombie and closed the doors. The PD needs some more work and bodies dumped outside too. -- ZombieHunter2009, 15:15 (EDT), 1 Aug 08
