The name of the suburb is shrouded in mystery, layered in legend, enveloped in enigma and then deep-fried and slathered in supposition. The most popular belief is that it is named after an ancient legendary giant so huge he was known simply as Great Big, or 'Grigg' for short. Awakened from a hundred-year-long nap by the increasingly noisy little town of Malton, the giant resolved to destroy it by casting huge boulders at the burgeoning borough. The removal of these boulders left the valley that is now found running through the neighbouring burbs of [[Owsleybank]], [[Molebank]] and [[Reganbank]]. However, the exertion proved too great even for Grigg, who succumbed to a ruptured hernia and fell dead on the edge of the city. As his body decomposed, it formed the distinctive range of hills (the Heights) which characterise this area of western Malton. Indeed, the suburb is so hilly that several large areas are undeveloped, including the peak centring on [[the Heneage Monument]]. This makes it rather tricky to get around, even for free runners.

Walking around in Grigg Heights, I see more and more buildings barricaded and the lights on.  No active zeds on the street, so it appears our stand must be working.  Either that, or The Dead has grown bored and moved on back to where they came from.  I highly suspect the latter, and I think we'll see a dwindling of their numbers over the next few days as they time out and are removed from the map.  Things are looking up!  I plan on traveling back north until I find ruined buildings and start reconstruction.  [[User:DHPD Officer 666]] 11:31, 5 April 2011 (EST)

Was killed twice today.  Woke up dead, stumbled to a revive spot, got revived and was dead before I could log in again.  Damn zombie ate half my left hand too, I'm not sure what I'm going to do about that, these things don't just grow back after you're revived.  I've since shambled my way west out of the Dead Zone and into friendly green territory where I can get revived and restock before I return.  While I didn't see the destruction here that I saw in Dunell Hills and Owsleybank, I would say that it is fairly dangerous for survivors.  However, it does appear that the Dead's March may have been stopped.  I recommend that members of DHPD and The Big Prick stage a beachhead here.  I think if we strategize properly, we can beat them back.  YOU SHALL NOT PASS!  [[User:DHPD Officer 666|DHPD Officer 666]] 12:31, 4 April 2011 (EST)
