Description

Malton Police Department

Oake Walk Police Department is a police department located in the suburb of Dulston along the very northern edge of the quarantine zone of Malton, beyond which rows of military razor wire fences and concealed landmines work to keep zombies, and survivors, from traveling further north. As the western-most precinct it is the closest of three northern precincts to Rhodenbank and therefore usually the first to encounter zombie threats coming from the west.

It should be mentioned that over the months Lovel Way (92,1) has been abandoned as a revive point and is no longer serviced by the Bridgman Building. Undead survivors seeking revival should instead seek help at either Duport Avenue (92,4) or Hamerton Road (98,1).

Noted NecroTech scientist, Caleb Usher, has visited Oake Walk PD on a few occasions while inspecting the zombie situation in northern Dulston, but he has never considered staying at the precinct overnight due to the chronically low survivor numbers in northern Dulston. Caleb attributes this due to the fact that most zombie hunters prefer to work out of police departments that are closer to larger zombie populations.

Mandate

1) To serve and protect all survivors within a 3x3 block grid (south) of the precinct.
2) To maintain resource building barricades at Very Strongly.
3) To maintain non-resource building barricades within a 3x3 block grid at Extremely Heavily. These buildings will act as safe houses for Free Runners attacking zombie groups in the area.

Affiliates

To date police and military personnel stationed at Oake Walk PD commonly work with survivors located in nearby resource buildings, namely:

  1. Clewett Alley PD (95,0)
  2. Spicer Row PD (96,0)
  3. The Bridgman Building (91,2)
  4. St. Anacletus's Hospital (93,3)
  5. Weston Crescent Fire Station (95,2)

Barricade Policy

This building must never be more than Very Strongly (VS+2) barricaded. This barricade level has been set forth in the Dulston Optimal Defense Diagram, a strategic barricade policy that is enforced by all member groups of the Dulston Alliance. This building's purpose is to serve as an access point for all survivors and a safehouse for inexperienced survivors who do not possess the Free Running skill. Visitors are requested to never barricade beyond Very Strongly unless the building is currently under siege from 5 or more zombies. Note that any survivors associated with the Dulston Alliance have the right to lower the barricades back to Very Strongly if they discover them raised higher without just cause.

Current Events

February 1st-2nd, 2007 - The Shamblin' Crooners made their usual grand entrance and entertained everyone inside with their famous "break-in & concert" style of zombie rock. Unlike past concerts this was the third stop in their new SHAMBLIN' CROONERS APOCALYPSE tour. Dulston survivors heard a lot more angst in the zombie tunes as they sang heavier music including Metal, Grunge, and of course Death Metal.

November 15th, 2006 - Members of DORIS persist in their claims of controlling all Dulston. Taking a page straight from Conquerors 101 DORIS has instigated a policy whereby local buildings and streets throughout the suburb have been renamed by their group, in this case, the police station is now known as the Clobber Police Department as far as DORIS is concerned.

July 19th, 2006 - Many survivors were killed, with only a few survivors remaining inside. Twelve zombies were found inside, while four more staggered around outside. The building is currently unsafe.

July 7th, 2006 - Survivors noted that the building's barricades had been destroyed and the doors left wide open. At this time the PD is unsafe.

November 16th, 2005 - The Drunken Dead returned with a vengeance, tearing down the building's barricades and killing every survivor inside who could not flee in time. It's believed their anger stemmed from a failed attempt to locate liquor at the Bridgman Building earlier that very day.

November 3rd, 2005 - The Drunken Dead sacked Oake Walk PD. Afterwards they congratulated each other, ate a few brains, and rummaged around the police department to try and identify what made the buildings so attractive to humans. After turning up countless guns and uncovering large stockpiles of ammunition the zombies give up. They could not find a drop of booze anywhere within the building.

October 28th, 2005 - The Drunken Dead zombie group is formed. Zombies from nearby suburbs converge on Oake Walk PD in order to initiate their very first attack against the survivors of Dulston.
