20070511 VERY small change to infectious bite
Mordac the Refuser 06:17, 11 May 2007 (BST)
Suggestion type Small skill change.
Suggestion scope
Infected victims
Suggestion description
Since people obviously don't like my non-lethal infectious bite suggestion (THOSE FOOLS! HOW DARE THEY REJECT MY ADVICE! :p), here's a very, very small suggestion:
Spray painting messages on walls shouldn't cause an infected victim to lose hp. After all, talking doesn't cause players to lose hp. Why should spraying messages on walls be different?
Benefits: Makes it a little easier to attract help.
Drawbacks: Makes it a little easier to attact wandering zombies.
Personally, I think you shouldn't lose points for searching rooms either, but I know that won't pass here.

- Suggested change - What you really ought to do to fix infectious bite is make it wear off after you are dead. Did you ever notice that if you die while infected, you will still be infected even after being revived? The only way around this is for your reviver to give you a FAK while you're still a zed (seems out of genre to me...), or you can FAK yourself after you stand up. But what if you're fresh out of supplies in a trashed burb? It really sucks - which is why you should only have to suffer through the same infection once. --Uncle Bill 06:43, 11 May 2007 (BST)
- RE: Thanks for the advice. That sounds like a great idea. However, I've been advised to "take a break," so I don't know if I should make another suggestion for a while. Mordac the Refuser 16:21, 11 May 2007 (BST)
- Kill - The whole point of infection is that any action causes a loss of health points. Spray painting is an action. If you really must spray paint to attract attention, take the single HP loss, and get over it -- boxy T L ZS Nuts2U DA 08:43, 11 May 2007 (BST)
- It's only 1HP. Take the damage. You'll get it back by FAKing yourself...or letting someone else do it. --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 13:10, 11 May 2007 (BST)
- Kill - Same reasons as above. It's only one HP. If you're THAT concerned about losing it, don't spray paint. --Heavy DDR 13:44, 11 May 2007 (BST)
- Kill Getting infected is a sod. Gotta agree with Uncle bill here, more usefull things you can change.--Seventythree 13:46, 11 May 2007 (BST)
- Kill Yeah, Seventythree is right. --User:Axe27/Sig 15:19, 11 May 2007 (BST)
- Um... - Oh, the agony! I can feel it festering, aaaagh, the zombie virus is traveling to my brain! I can feel it making me rot and die and turn into one of-Oh, look, a spray can! Yessss!--Lachryma☭ 15:27, 11 May 2007 (BST)
- Kill - What Uncle Bill said... --MarieThe Grove on Tour 15:47, 11 May 2007 (BST)
- Kill -not useful--Vista +1 16:30, 11 May 2007 (BST)
- Kill - Spraypainting takes a significantly greater amount of exertion than talking, so I don't think infectious bite should be nullified in this instance. --T 00:00, 12 May 2007 (BST)
- Kill Spraypainting help requests for an individual doesn't make much sense. --Jon Pyre 04:27, 12 May 2007 (BST)
- Kill - If your were going to change anything about this skill, it should be the fact that you currently don't recieve damage for talking,... which I always thought was kind of funny! --Poodle of doom 21:14, 12 May 2007 (BST)
- Kill - As above. --Saluton 22:05, 12 May 2007 (BST)
- This suggestion comes from someone who has never done graffiti. Extremely high amounts of exertion mentally / physically. --Ev933n / Talk PPGC 22:17, 12 May 2007 (BST)
- Kill - WHY spraypainting? it's so important? --Matthew Fahrenheit YRC☺T☺+1 10:37, 14 May 2007 (BST)
- Kill - Pointless. - JedazΣT MC ΞD CT SR: 09:52, 15 May 2007 (GMT)
- Kill - Spray painting is as much activity as walking into a building, and far more than shooting a gun. Infection hurting while spraying makes sense.--karek 07:36, 16 May 2007 (BST)
