20070717 One Gen. To Power Large Buildings

Modernplague 01:12, 17 July 2007 (BST)

Suggestion type
Improvement

Suggestion scope
Survivors And Zombies

Suggestion description
Having to place 4 generators in a single, 4-square large building is a hassle for survivors. It is also a hassle to zombies, because if one square is unpowered, the survivors in a mall can still attempt to restock their ammo in another powered square. With this change, survivors will only have to place one generator to make a large building powered, and zombies will only have to destroy one generator to remove the search bonus, making it harder for defenders to restock ammo and save a lot of headaches for the zombies. Each mall will have one specific square to put in a generator (wether it will be the same square for all malls or different squares for each mall will be for Kevan to decide) and no additional generators will be allowed.

  1. Keep - Yeah, why not? --The Hierophant 03:24, 17 July 2007 (BST)

Kill Votes

  1. Kill - Hell no. It's more realistic for a genny to power a single section, or a small electricity cicuit in the mall. A genny wouldn't have enough power to light up a whole mall either. And by the way, if the zeds get inside with enough force, who cares about the gennys? The survivors are dead meat anyways. --Ducis DuxSlothTalk 04:33, 17 July 2007 (BST)
  2. Kill - No. --Sonny Corleone RRF CoL DORIS CRF 04:36, 17 July 2007 (BST)
  3. Was die Hölle? Dies ist dumm. - Come now, did you even think of reality in the making of this? Honestly.-- dǝǝɥs ɯɐds: sʎɐʍ1ɐ! 04:40, 17 July 2007 (BST)
  4. Kill - No thanks, I like the hassle. 'arm. 05:00, 17 July 2007 (BST)
  5. Kill - I've always wondered why survivors burn extra gas setting up and powering generators in all four corners of a mall (or even a cathedral) and then complain that gas is hard to find. Powering one corner and lets people search just as well, then move back to another corner to defend the building. But hey, if people want to, let them. . . . swiers BigEYEwitnessLOGO.png 07:09, 17 July 2007 (BST)
  6. Kill Big building, lots of power needed.--Seventythree 07:31, 17 July 2007 (BST)
  7. Kill all of above. there is a survivor's strategy/policy-in-tense-times, 1-generator-is-enough. so why make it to game mechanics? --Duke GarlandTLCD SSZ 08:35, 17 July 2007 (BST)
  8. Kill - Forced AP saver--karek 09:41, 17 July 2007 (BST)
  9. kill - As far as shoppers are concerned each corner is already several locations rolled into 1. Now if you had suggested that a gennie in a Mall usefuel faster or only granted the search bonus to 1 type of store i might have considered it, but this is just a big no-no!--Honestmistake 10:11, 17 July 2007 (BST)
  10. Kill - And when all the zombies know this, they will be able to focus on taking a single square, and, once they take it, the entire mall's power will be down, taking the search bonuses with it. Very bad idea. --Saluton 17:46, 17 July 2007 (BST)
  11. Kill - I agree it does not make sense that a building as large as a Mall or Cathedral could be fully powered on a single generator. This idea is impractical. --Alamoth 21:48, 17 July 2007 (BST)
  12. Kill - If the generator was to die faster than usual, maybe. But it should take a lot of generators to power a lot of space. --Heavy DDR 20:51, 17 July 2007 (BST)
  13. Kill - as everybody else.-- Vista  +1  12:38, 19 July 2007 (BST)
  14. Kill - Nope. I have to admit though, this makes GKing sound very appealing. --Druuuuu 19:16, 20 July 2007 (BST)
  15. Kill - Sorry mate but it just doesn't sound possible--CORN! 06:31, 30 July 2007 (BST)
