20080618 Monoreville Headshot Nerf
ShadowScope'the true enemy' 20:39, 18 June 2008 (BST)
Suggestion type
"Improvement"
Suggestion scope
Monoreville
Suggestion description
I liked Monoreville. I also liked permadeath. I realized most people didn't.
But Monoreville is based off Romeo canon, so we can't expect to introduce canon that is seperate from Romeo's fluff. So, my idea is this: If a zombie get headshotted by a human during the time Monoreville is closed, that zombie respawns at a random Graveyard with all the skills and XP he has previously. In addition, a new counter exist, which tells how many times a Zombie corspe has been headshot during a Monoreville Round.
This still make headshots pretty useful, in that it helps to get zombies out of your area, keeping your harman character alive. At the same time, zombies can still continue to play the game. The zombies will not be destroyed, just defeated...for now.

Keep Votes
- Keep - Way better than perma-death headshot. - Grant (talk) 06:45, 19 June 2008 (BST)
- Keep - Monroeville seems to be a testing ground for ideas that don't fit into Malton like perma-zombification and permadeath. Given that I think random respawns would be an interesting non-Malton mechanic to see play out, to see if hordes could adapt and work in small gangs based on location. It'd be spam in Malton, though. --Riseabove 12:35, 19 June 2008 (BST)
Kill Votes
- Kill - UD has always had rules for movement. And instantaneous movement is always a no. Besides, this doesn't really move them "out of the way", it'll just move them into specific areas of the city, making them nigh uninhabitable.--Vandurn 21:58, 18 June 2008 (BST)
- Kill It's teleportation. --Jon Pyre 04:10, 19 June 2008 (BST)
- Kill - As Jon Pyre.--Jamie Cantwel3 TalkAll glory to the Hypnotoad! 06:24, 19 June 2008 (BST)
Spam/Dupe Votes
- Spam - Idiot suggestion with no flavour reasoning. Completely destroys horde play, the one way that a zombie could be successful in Monroeville -- . . <== DDR Approved Editor 21:35, 18 June 2008 (BST)
- Spam - As above. This ends horde play, which is the only thing that enables zombies to actually compete. --The Grimch U! E! WAT! 22:01, 18 June 2008 (BST)
- Spam - Can I say as above again? Zombies only compete with horde play, this would be awful.--drawde DORIS•RR•RRF 22:07, 18 June 2008 (BST)
- Romeo, Romeo. Wherefore art thou, Romeo? --Ocular Druuuuu 01:00, 19 June 2008 (BST)
- Get thee to a nunnery! -- Teleportation that totally screws organised hordes. Ugh. Frankly, I've said it before and I'll say it again: Monroeville was a fascinating idea, but it was an experiment that failed. And it should just be left to die, IMNSHO. --WanYao 05:28, 19 June 2008 (BST)
- Above-iness. --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 10:49, 19 June 2008 (BST)
- Spam - While I like the idea of wiping a city of harmans (due to no perma-death from headshot), teleportation is stupid as above. -- LABIA on the INTERNET Dunell Hills Corpseman #24 - |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||| TMG 11:14, 19 June 2008 (BST)
