Talk:Flesh Rot
Does this skill carry over to survivors like bodybuilding and flak jacket does for zombies? If it does, then theoretically a survivor could get brain rot and flesh rot as a zombie, then find a powered NT that does brain rot revives, and not need to carry a flak jacket anymore. - No. No you didn't. Those ideas were so obvious that several people thought them up before you, years ago. Now take your ego down to normal human levels. --Funt Solo QT

- Sorry, I don't think he can do that. Consider this a genetic character flaw and enjoy the spasming. At least now at least career zombies have something that is both distinguishing and useful. (Not saying Brain Rot was useless when it was implemented, but since revive costs increased and needles rates decreased, it should have a different role. Perhaps ditch the scan-difficulty and prevent/reduce AP-loss from Headshot. But that's another thought.) Will there be more Rot skills to come? Midnight Reviver 03:58, 15 October 2008 (BST)

So do flaks still work when you're a zombie? bodybuilding appears to...that is pretty lame imho. Zombies shouldn't get the benefit of this unless they are willing to embrahz teh rot.--xoxo 22:29, 14 October 2008 (BST)
- Im assuming that it doesn't benefit survivors. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 22:31, 14 October 2008 (BST)
Man, thank god Kevan put this in. This is gonna make sieges of places a hell of a lot easier for us, and for a good reason: more people are gonna get Brain Rot to get this skill now, which means less zeds will be combat revived, which also means less random revives. I think there's gonna be a lot more lvl. 42 and 43 zeds now. --Anarchy-X 9:18 PM, Oct. 14th 08 (MST)
- I doubt that many more zeds will get brain rot to get this skill as they can simply purchase bodybuilding and get a flak jacket (unless i'm mistaken). There's no motivation to actually get this skill beyond role playing and a day or 2's work.--xoxo 06:54, 15 October 2008 (BST)
Goodie! A way for my riddleybank zed to get tougher with out 'going back'...and in riddleybank, 'going back' is damn hard...--Angusburger 06:30, 15 October 2008 (BST)

- Yeah, well you're a trenchcoater... I bet you've never played a dedicated zombie. Ever. So your opinion is what's worthless...
- This is a fantastic buff for dedicated zombies who embrace BARHAH fully and who never, ever desire to be human. Totally in genre and totally awesome. GRAAAAAGH!!! --WanYao 06:14, 17 October 2008 (BST)
For all the trouble the eyewitness guy went to to keep his location secret, forgetting to omit GPS Co-ords [98,62] was rather silly. Unless they made up those coords. --Jonzay 07:39, 18 October 2008 (BST)
- And from the description he's in a hospital. And the name of the next door building is mentioned when its lights go on. But yeah.--RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 09:49, 18 October 2008 (BST)
- Looks like he was using a variant of the Hide Location Bookmarklet. That thing hasn't been updated in a while (years?), it's not surprising it doesn't cover the newer updates. And who carries a GPS anyway? ᚱᛁᚹᛖᚾᚨᚾᛏ 01:47, 23 December 2008 (UTC)
Flesh Rot Active When Human?
According to this wiki page, Flesh Rot is supposed to be dormant while human without Body Building, but it is active in my now human character which doesn't have Body Building. Is this a glitch or an update that makes it usable as a human being? -Brain Rotten Zombie (talk) 01:13, 17 January 2025 (UTC)
- Hey BRZ. Gambler of Legend's player here. While it's difficult to determine the actual meaning of the wiki's notes now - the notes were from 2008, and now link to a defunct website, and the old iWitness system has also been offline for a while - we luckily have some other notes we can look at in Bug Reports. The issue in the bug report is kinda the opposite of what you're wondering since the reporter is standing up after dying, but it seems to be related. I think what is actually the case is when you die, if you don't have Body Building, you're standing up with 50HP instead of 60HP - or in the case of being revived, you're standing up with 25HP instead of 30HP. Seeing that the page was cleaned up in 2011 for clarity, I think whoever tried to clean up the page misunderstood the original notes, and assumed Flesh Rot did not carry over when alive, when the notes most likely meant when you're revived, instead of standing up with 30HP like you would usually do if you had Body Building, Flesh Rot's extra HP does not account for this, and you'll instead stand up at 25HP as if you didn't have Body Building. --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 02:17, 17 January 2025 (UTC)
