Basic Info:

  • Office buildings owned by the company often associated with the zombie outbreak. From the outside, they are indistinguishable from other buildings, but characters with the NecroTech Employment skill are able to recognise them.
  • Among the internal descriptions found in NecroTech Buildings:
    The NecroTech logo is set in the wall behind the front desk, and doors open onto powered-down computer rooms and laboratories."
  • If a generator is running inside the building:
    "The NecroTech logo glows gently above the front desk, and doors open onto a number of brightly-lit laboratories and computer rooms."
  • NecroTech offices are tall enough for survivors to commit suicide from. They also provide a vantage point from which binoculars can be used.
  • Necrotech Buildings can be barricaded normally.

Description

The NecroTech logo glows gently above the front desk, and doors open onto a number of brightly-lit laboratories and computer rooms.

The Pippard Building is a NecroTech facility located in the suburb of South Blythville. Though a faceless corporate structure to the uninitiated, this facility acts as the heart of all neural reconstruction research for NecroTech within the suburb. Staff at this building commonly revive zombies at nearby revive points. This facility is one of four NecroTech facilities found in the suburb. A four-storey grey-stone building flanked by trees, the Pippard Building is a supply point for the Revivification Points at Gee Avenue (26,72) and Nicols Avenue (30,72). The Brain Rot Revive Clinic declared the Pippard Building to be a brain rot revive point, and it is currently maintained by Malton College of Medicine. As such, barricades are maintained at a very strong level, except during seiges. The Preston Building provides a more secured NecroTech facility nearby.

Members of project NecroWatch renovated the facility in recent months, as they installed sensor eyes for A.L.I.C.E. throughout the building and uploaded NecroNet 2.0 into the facility's system terminals.

Mandate

NecroTech staff continue to follow directive 42-A, issued by the head office on January 19th 2006, with the activation and manufacture of MK-II revivification syringes. While the cost in time and effort are currently high the certainty provided by being able to manufacture a constant stream of syringes has mitigated early concerns.

The activation of NecroNet with all NecroTech buildings has also allowed scientists to apply the DNA tracking research they have gathered to date. The field research staff stationed at the Pippard Building feel certain that they can crack the mystery surrounding the spread of the virus as well as help monitor aberrant zombie activity within South Blythville.

NecroNet Reports

Zombie tracking reports are a free service provided by the NecroTech corporation to all its staff and local survivors in order to help facilitate quicker response times when managing zombie threats and to build a greater awareness of zombie migration patterns within the 9x9 block region around the Pippard Building. As a cautious reminder, only those zombies tagged with the DNA Extractor will appear on these scans, so actual numbers may vary when dealing with older zombies (i.e. Brain Rot).

Barricade Policy

This building should be barricaded NO higher than "VSB" at all times (though some exceptions may be made for times of unfriendly zombie siege). This is in accordance with it being a Rot Revive clinic run by survivors (particularly the MCM), who routinely monitor the barricade level for this building. This building is meant to serve as an NT where zombies suffering from Brain Rot can be revived, and as such barricades are kept low enough for zombies to tear down easily, but high enough to protect the staff and generator inside and ensure swift revivification. The VSB status also allows this building to serve as a refuge for beginner scientists and doctors. Survivors who find the building's barricades above their assigned level are asked to assist in lowering them to VSB in order to help ensure the safety of all the survivors who need to use the building as an entry point.

History

8/16/14 - This is an operational Rot Revive clinic, largely staffed by the MCM. The default barricade level is VSB; if under unfriendly zombie siege, cades may be higher. Zombies who want revives are encouraged to knock down the cades. MCM has a small DNR list, but is generally open about handing out heals and revives, plus supports combat revives, so any rotter breaking in can usually be assured of a revive (whether wanted or not). 1/31/13 We're having continued problems with GKing from Endovior and also with hostile zombie break ins, so this isn't really the best place to get a Rot Revive, but you're welcome to wait. DR Frank Frank, trying to help. --Jerden 18:28, 31 January 2013 (UTC)

1/22/13 As far as I am aware, the Pippard building is now trying to provide Rot Revive services, but members will be using their own judgement as to who should be revived. If you want revives, the staff of the Pippard Building suggest that you refrain from killing survivors and destroying generators, which some people keep doing. Sunday, November 18, 2012 Building is heavily barricaded and powered. 15 dead bodies, four zombies, one of which is me when I unwillingly became a member. A PKer stands outside.

7/23/11 - Last time I was inside, The building was barricaded and powered - many survivors inside, but any zombies that break in will get revived, especially if they don't attack and ask nicely. The building were usually VSB, but barricades often go up to heavily barricaded. 7/21/09 - DO NOT ATTEMPT TO GET REVIVED HERE!! Definitely not a revive point. Random survivors killing all zombies inside and dumping bodies in the streets. Door is now barricaded.

7/20/09 - No revives given in days. Few survivors coming through except the occasional Hunter giving us all headshots. Starting to doubt this is a revive point. Seems more like a shooting gallery with us as the target. Please tag not to kill zed's waiting for revive.

6/4/09 - 12 hours later Building has held. 25 dead bodies outside, two zombies (including me, now) outside. No lights on inside. Freaking biters.

6/4/09 - The Pippard Building is under attack. 9 zombies inside. Barricades breached, generator destroyed. Multiple survivors infected, at least three dead at my last action.

The building has been very heavily barricaded. It is running, and powering a radio transmitter that's currently set to 28.01 MHz.
