After a search for supplies, I headed out on a late patrol, where I found a trio of allies swaying at the revive point; as I prepared to revive the third, however, I was attacked by a zombie. It was too dark to get a good look at my attacker, but I decided to flee instead of fight since my ammo was limited; I returned inside just in time thankfully and began to treat my wounds, starting with that cumbersome infection...

The Necrotech by the Mansion was attacked by zombies; I used what little ammunition I had left to help fight off the invaders and keep the barricades up...

After a long journey, I finally made it back to the Mansion, a place that many of us have come to consider home. It apparently is occupied by a group called Clan Nosferatu -- I hope we can have a peaceful co-existence, but I'm not going to get my hopes up too high...

The soft murmuring of other survivors woke me from my sleep; I was still tired as I sat up and began to gather my things -- I heard we might be leaving this area, heading back to Southall Mansion again.

"Dr. Howard, does FANNY take members if they only have Med and Hand-to-Hand Skills?" a woman with an olive-skinned complexion, complimented by her dark red business suit coat and black skirt asked me, her dark brows arched over her mirrored sunglasses.

As i began to answer, I dug into my bag for the recruitment information I carried around with me, "Yes, actually -- So long as you focus on..." I looked up and she was gone.

I guess I'll answer her if I see her again.

With my gear stored, I left the Warehouse that had served as a temporary shelter and left to look for Nicholas so I could tell him we were pulling out of the area...

I found another confused soul trapped in the state of undeath at one of the revive points and remedied the situation before heading for the Necrotech to search for more syringes, then to the mall for more medical supplies.

"Hello, Karen," a person I didn't recognize, whom seemed military in dress greeted me. Had I healed this solider...?

I smiled and gave a polite bow as I returned the greeting, "Hello...Have we met before?"

"Nope."

"Hi, always nice to run into FANNY & MANNY! Just came from the mall...the place is crazy with PKers, not a friendly spot...almost as dangerous as shopping on Boxing day," the woman in the blood-spattered pink jacket greeted Nicholas and I with a friendly laugh; for some reason she was wearing a paper party hat...

"And almost as crazy as the overeager bounty hunting types whom take offense to people whom revive those they deem to be the wrong people... I've been killed twice because I gave aid to the 'enemy' -- if they are in need, so long they aren't on the DNR we of FANNY keep or been rather rude to us, then they generally get aid..." I said with a soft sigh.

After my searching for syringes at the NecroTech, I returned and drifted off to sleep; I was half-way asleep when Nicholas woke me, murmuring a message in my ear: "I'm off to Lockettside, wish me luck Karen."

I was able to go to the NecroTech closest to me and found a few syringes before my patrol of the Revive Points; there were storm clouds in the distance so I only had time to revive a single ally of mine...

I woke late in the day and after returning from washing up and found my allies dead, slain by pair of people that spoke in such an...uneducated manner. With resolve to aid them and the others of this suburb, I ventured out of the save house to aid them and the other unfortunates of the suburb by heading tot he closest functioning NecroTech, where I saw one of my other allies also searching for syringes. My luck was dismal, so I headed to the Mall for more provisions and medical supplies. That was where I found a severely wounded man; I patched him up the best I could and as I was gathering my remaining medical supplies, I felt the strange need to look up.

There, scrawled on the wall in a nearly unreadable script was a chilling message, deeming me one of the Knights' revivers and that I was KOS -- Kill On Sight.

Fearfully I looked around to see if anyone had connected me to the graffiti on the wall and made a discreet retreat.

Who is doing this?

Yes, I revive the Knights -- they are good men, despite their unorthodox methods of teaching the public, but they have far kinder to not just I but the other members of FANNY then many of the supposedly pro-survivor groups in the city! Unlike many men whom see a female medic, they do not presume to make assumptions that I will preform other...services; they treat me as a professional that heals and revives, as someone to be, well...treasured, almost -- with the word of that lunatic and the graffitti about me spreading amongst the ranks of the Knights, they are rallying...all for me. It's rather...flattering.

All FANNY members are allowed to revive at their own discretion, following our DNR and our personal experiences in each suburb -- and with the actions of the hypocritical DRRP, I decided it would be a waste of my valuable syringes to use them on those I had seen acting in such a hypocritical and disgusting manner.

Curling up in the corner of my latest safehouse next to Nicholas, I wonder...why is it when the Knights punish those veteran survivors whom know better, whom take over a vial resource building and make it inaccessible to those whom desperately need it, the Knights are the ones whom are condemned? Is it not worse then to over-barricade a resource buildingin a non-siege situation, to jeopardized the lives of innocent inexperienced survivors? I died the first time due to that!

Will there ever be peace?

Will there ever be true cure for the zombie plague...?

My thoughts are troubled as I drift off to an uneasy rest beside Nicholas...

I managed to revive an ally and a pair of other unfortunate souls at one of the revive points before I ran out of syringes. I retreated to a safehouse where a pair of my allies rested and settled in for the night...

I woke on the cold hard concrete of the sidewalk, the light of the predawn casting deep shadows around the revive point. Stirring, I saw a pair of my allies on the ground. With my movements sluggish and pained from resting on the hard ground, I retreated indoors away from the zombies that lurked about and even further for a safehouse away from that lunatic...

July 4, 2007

Location: the Hazeldine Building (South Blythville)

There was a chill in the air; not physical one, but one of impending doom. Something is going to happen, I know it. Nervously I went to exit the building by way of fire escape when my path was blocked by that man from before, the one whom killed me for reviving the Knights; he killed Nicholas too, even though he'd not made a big entrance into the suburb. Again I wonder...is his man sent by the DRRP? He does seem familiar...

"Ms Howard, still disgracing the good name of FANNY. As you are a dedicated reviver for the Philosophe Knights you really should declare your true affiliation," he sneered, and I could see the shotgun he held in one hand, his other a clenched fist. My mind was racing as I tried to deduce the other ways out of the building.

"I have something for you. I found these in a nearby bank," he mocked, flinging out his fisted hand; a handful of something small and silver flew through the air and there was the sound of metal striking the wall. "As an alleged Christian I'm sure you understand the reference."

My back stiffened and I reached for my pistol; how dare he?! I revive all those in need, be they Knight or not! So long as they are not on the FANNY Do Not Revive list or they've someone I've found personally to be a radio or generator destroyer, or members of the two-faced DRRP, I will revive them.

"You trade upon the goodwill of others towards FANNY. And yet your needles revive those who murder innocents. I dedicate myself to seeking justice for those who cannot."

Any rebuttal I was going to make died on my lips. This man is insane and will not listen to reason; he will not listen about the men and women I revive from the nightmare of the living undead. No, he only sees my alliance with the Knights, whom despite their bloodthirsty ways, are good men -- they are witty, intelligent and unlike this man hunting me, reasonable. The way this has been set up, this ambush...it favors him; I'm not a combat specialist, and he's got me trapped. But that doesn't mean I'm going to lay down and die!

Turning on my heel, I darted away, hoping to find an escape route this madman's not cut off. Behind me I heard the hammer of the shotgun he carried being pulled back; I tensed, bracing myself as I fled up the stairwell of he building. A second later, the shotgun's booming report was deafening and the pellets that didn't miss me sliced through the heavy denim of my jeans. My legs gave out under me, sending me collapsing to the stairwell. Biting back the urge to curse, I struggled to crawl up the stairwell; focus on the task at hand, focus...!

The sounds of weapons fire echoed again and again as I struggled up the stairwell, the pain barely felt as I concentrated on my task. My battered form could only handle so much as I collapsed. Faintly I could make out the sound of heavy foot steps approaching up the stairs.

"So tonight I give you that which you help visit upon others, as I did for the traitor Nicholas. May God have mercy upon your soul. My soul is already damned."

No! Dammit, no--!

After another patrol of the revive points, where I managed to bring another ally and young soul trapped as a member of the undead back to the land of the living, I decided to head for the NecroTech building on the edge of the suburb, my encounter with that lunatic still fresh in mind.

After waking early, I went into Marven, where I finished restocking my new pack before heading out on a brief patrol; I found an ally of mine swaying, along with a confused young zombie at a revive point. Both were brought back to life and I ended my patrol back in the Pippard Building to restock my supply of syringes...

July 1, 2007

Location: A Factory (Greentown)

I woke stiff and sore on the sidewalk, lying beside the leader of my allies; I couldn't tell if he was in the process of reviving or not. My body aching from lying on the hard pavement, I slowly sat up, my hand brushing the blood-soaked and tattered black robe Sir M wore; his mask was smeared with dried blood and cracked, while beyond him I could see Sir F, his mask and robes in perhaps worse condition. Along with the pain of reviving from death, there was still shock.

Whom would have spraypainted that I'm one of the revivers? The DRRP had discovered that I had been aiding the Knights and the very same man that murdered Sir DT and started the conflict between the groups issued a complaint against my superiors in FANNY and had the gall to demand a bill for the lives of his men and allies lost in 'his' suburb. Shakily I stood, my mind still racing in my attempts to deduce the identity behind the mystery maker of the graffiti; could the DRRP have tracked me this far? Or perhaps it was that woman whom spoke to me so snidely only a couple days ago? Could it be someone else entirely...?

My head ached and the street, where any zombie could attack, was no place to tend to my wounds and think in peace. Making my way indoors, I paused in the building to study the damning graffiti; who placed it there?! I certainly didn't notice it being put up... Fearful of someone else shooting at me, I departed from the NecroTech, pausing inside Marven to begin tending to my injuries...and to replace my damaged pack and find much needed supplies.

I was only able to find a pack before my wounds told me to go rest or pass out; I decided to stay in a secure looking factor on the other side of the Mall. To be on the safe side, I'm sleeping in a spot I can easily escape from...
