January January 25, 2007 Location: Caiger Mall (Darvall Heights) I had woken early and prepared to head to the Latrobe building; I had just slung my pack over my shoulder, heading for the 'bridge' between the Mall and Latrobe when my way was cut off by a man that looked like he was out of a bad western. He didn't look injured and before I could ask him what was wrong, he brought a shotgun from where it was hidden beneath the long skirts of his duster. A chill went through me, what was he doing? Did he know of my allies? I was a member of FANNY, why target me otherwise? My mind was racing and I tried to run for the bridge, hoping a moving target would be harder for him to hit. He lunged at me, slamming his shoulder into my side, sending us flying to the floor; I was hoping the noise would get someone's attention, but no luck. The scuffle was fast and violent; I'm not very good hand-to-hand and I could feel the strength leaving me as he overpowered me. Once more I hit the ground and he aimed the shotgun at me; I opened my mouth to scream as his finger tightened around the trigger-- January 24, 2007 Location: Caiger Mall (Darvall Heights) This is the first time I've had the chance to writing in my journal -- I arrived at Caiger and was made rather busy by either searching for supplies or helping at the Latrobe Building; currently there's over a hundred zombies out there. I went to clear some away and thus resulting in my injuries that gave me the time to take a break. Previously I had been too exhausted to do so so I hope to get some rest to let my injuries heal... January 15, 2007 Location: Maria General Hospital (Judgewood) I received orders to head towards Caiger Mall, so away I go -- I've paused to stock up on medical supplies and to get a few hours rest... January 14, 2007 Location: the Gunningham Motel (Quarlesbank) With the fall of the Mall, I retreated and on my patrolling and found a couple allies of mine swaying by a monument, so I revived them while they were 'sleeping'.... January 13, 2007 Location: the Rason Hotel (Quarlesbank) Still stocking up on supplies; its getting harder for everyone to hold back the tide of zombies so i fear my supply run will be cut short; I've managed to handle my own lately combat-wise. I think Nicholas is proud of how well I'm handling myself with my pistol.... January 12, 2007 Location: the Rason Hotel (Quarlesbank) I headed to the mall, hoping for better luck searching for supplies and have been quite pleased that I do better in Malls these days then I did before...I have been hearing that there are zombies attracted to the lights of the Mall and they keep banging on the barricades... January 11, 2007 Location: Augarde Street Police Dept (Quarlesbank) I was surprised to find Nicholas had joined me when I woke this morning; I briefly ventured outdoors to find the weather still cold but the skies clear for now... January 10, 2007 Location: Augarde Street Police Dept (Quarlesbank) I headed out to a quick patrol in the snow, where I found a rotter swaying outside a building; I quickly dispatched of it of course, hoping it wouldn't be a hindrance to anyone else caught outside in this snow. January 9, 2007 Location: Augarde Street Police Dept (Quarlesbank) I continued stocking up on ammunition, having a feeling I'll be needing it in the near future... January 8, 2007 Location: Augarde Street Police Dept (Quarlesbank) Well, I was out of ammunition, so I headed for the closest Police Department, where I immediately began to stock up on much needed supplies; it was there I heard a survivor trying to rally others against my allies. Foolish man... January 7, 2007 Location: the Milnerr Building (Quarlesbank) The generator at Balchin was destroyed and I retreated to the Milnerr Building, doing a light patrol as I did so. There don't seem to be that many zombies about... January 6, 2007 Location: the Balchin Building (Quarlesbank) The weather's been lousy, a cold hard sleet raining down and making travel tricky.... January 5, 2007 Location: the Balchin Building (Quarlesbank) Well, the generator at Milnerr was destroyed again, so I left for the closest NT, the Balchin building, where I manufactured several syringes and did a quick patrol of the surrounding area... January 4, 2007 Location: the Milnerr Building (Quarlesbank) So far it's not been a vey good day -- I woke late and found my rations to be getting rather low then later my search for syringes seemed to be almost futile with the lousy results I was getting. I've been studying on the procedure to manufacture them but the generator at this building constantly is under attack, not by the undead but by fellow survivors. I might have to brave the weather to find another NecroTech building... January 3, 2007 Location: the Milnerr Building (Quarlesbank) My day started close to noon as I woke late to find that more snow had been falling heavily since before dawn. I spent the time after a light breakfast searching for syringes and when the snow seemed to stop mid-afternoon, I briefly ventured outside to check the status of the zombie threat. With how sluggish and non-responsive the few I did see were, I wonder if the temperature even to affects the undead. If I were more knowledgeable in the field, I'd do research while it was safe, but I'm not...and I far prefer staying warm rather then risk provoking one of the undead into attacking, so I returned to the warmth of the safehouse even as the sun began to set... January 2, 2007 Location: the Milnerr Building (Quarlesbank) Waking a few hours after dawn, I found the sky had clouded over and that it was once more snowing. I explored around the building again again, finding it wiser to stay indoors and search for supplies then stay out in the snow. With my luck I my search for more syringes negligible, I ventured out of the building I'd been holed up in and visited a different NecroTech building, to see if I'd have better luck finding syringes there. I arrived just before sunset and spent most of my evening in a search for syringes before falling to exhaustion and curling up in a corner after nibbling on a small evening meal... January 1, 2007 Location: the Balchin Building (Quarlesbank) I woke rather late in the day -- the parties went long into the night and kept me awake. The weather was rather clear, the clouds gone and the sky an icy blue, with a sharp wind making the cold even worse. After what now passes for a normal breakfast these days, I bundled up with my 'new' winter clothes and headed outdoors. Trudging through the high snowdrifts, I did an exploratory patrol around the mall and found a couple allies of mine swaying as zombies in a snow drift that appeared to be one of the local revive points. I only had one syringe in my kit, so the one swaying closest to me was revived before I headed back indoors to find the nearest NecroTech building. I was successful in locating the powered NecroTech facility -- however, my luck finding pre-manufactured syringes was nil; well after the sun set did I finally give up and rest for the night...
