It wasn't the Pescodside bit (well okay, that was part of it) that made it worth deleting, it was the advice to survivors on how to respond to current events. If I was to do a new update that said "Resource building X is totally gonna fall in a few hours, so zombies should start hitting resource building Y tomorow", I'd get crucified by the regular wiki users :) Turkmenbashi 13:34, 10 September 2008 (BST) PDA - DA/Imperium conflict, and NPOV. I've some points to discuss with you regarding my lastest addition. First thing first, some background: I've to say that I'm a freelance DA supporter. I belong to no group in the DA, and I help them because they are helping other survivors to fight against zombies, keeping Dulston in good shape, until hundreds of them decided to pour into Dulston and thrashed it. Being a freelancer, I don't have to stand by any order of Kikashie or other leaders. I roam around trying to help what I can. And I have my own idea of what's right or wrong. One thing I cannot agree with them is the joining into the Malton Uprising, and killing DEM personnel. Maybe I am just new, so I don't know why DEM has pissed off so many people. But to me, people who kill members of another pro-survivor group indiscriminately is no better than PKers they're trying to punish. Survivors are supposed to fight zombies, and murderers, not another survivor group. Also, not everyone in DA agree with the decision to join MU. The peaceful "doves", such as doctors of D.I.T.P.S. and electricians of ELT, refuse to join in the killing. The "hawks" on the other hand, think that they must teach DEM some lessons. Kikashie said everyone can decide on their own whether to join or not. Now you know what's happening regarding the DA and the MU, let's talk about your recent conflict with DA and Imperium: I said DA and Imperium were helping you defending Pescodside from the zombie hordes, and that's the truth. After Dulston fell, DA retreated to Pescodside. Imperium then mobilized their troops from Gibsonton to help DA reclaim Dulston. They agreed to use Northern Pescodside, Waish NT specifically, as the staging point, establishing a "beachhead" to attack into Dulston. When zombies moved down to attack Pescodside, they tried to help defend it the best they could. They helped defending Waish, Inman, and Clewett NT. Where did you and your men kill Garviel? Inman, that is. He was there to defend it. As for the proof that DA and Imperium were helping defending Pescodside, see this picture, taken from our strategy thread (you must have diplomat level clearance to see the thread.) Also see another picture from the publicly available Blacklist thread for Kikashie's response to the killing of Garviel. You can also see that Zerta from BHU was also in Pescodside, fighting the zombies. About Kikashie's "secret" contact with Turkmenbashi, just look at the date. He told Turkmenbashi to attacked PDA on September 21st, one day after you guys killed Garviel. So you can see it was done in retaliation. If you haven't killed Garviel and Kikashie, then such things wouldn't happened. Of course, contacting zombies/PKers to attack your human enemies can be seen as dishonourable from role-playing point of view, and I am appalled by it, but Kikashie is that way. He doesn't took that game too seriously. Now, you may think that your actions are justified, that Kikashie and Garviel deserved to be shot, for they join forces with PKers to fight a big pro-survivor group like DEM. For that, I understand your reason, because I myself oppose all kind of PKing (except bounty hunting, done to keep the law and punish PKers.) However, I think your response is still too harsh. After all, they're your former allies. If you don't agree with them joining MU, then you should talk to them, proving their ways are wrong, not putting bullets in their heads. Now what you've done is irreversible, isolating PDA from DA and Imperium for good. And I wonder if your new ally DEM can send enough force to handle the zombie threat, seeing they have to fight the MU as well. Now I'm done talking about the conflict. Let's talk about my comment on the news page: I stand by the fact that DA and Imperium were trying to help Pescodside, because that's the plan all along. I've provided proofs to that fact. And I won't change it unless you can provide another proof that Kikashie and Garviel were secretly conspiring with zombies to destroy Pescodside in the first place, before you killed them. If that turns to be the case, I'll consider changing the comment, and perhaps my allegience to DA as well. When editing wiki, I tried to be as neutral as possible, like a good journalist. Sometimes however, people still accused me of being POV, pro-survivor, pro-DA biased. I usually corrected myself if that was the case (mostly just some flavour text gone too far.) That being said, you told me my comment was offensive to the PDA. I've reread it many times, and failed to see where. Your prior comment was telling only one side of the story, from PDA POV. My comment was added in response, trying to see the whole incident from the eyes of a freelance DA supporter. I think I've done the best I could trying to keep it NPOV. I even point out about the ethically questionable decision of DA and Imperium to join the MU. Other that that are straight facts. PDA is only a dozen in size, and cannot hold off hundreds of zombies, as evident in the fall of Inman. I was just stating it without the intention to badmouth anyone. I was busy yesterday so I only logged in to play the game and logged off. Some thing I want to talk about: I am quite new to this game. Well, not that new, since I'm now 5 months into the game. But I joined just after Mobius had left, so I never had the chance to know him or the Dulston Alliance under him. He sure looks like a great and respectable leader though. You said DA is only interested in defending Pescodside because Dulston had fallen. I really doubt that. After all, if Dulston is safe, the DA would be free to send help to Pescodside, just like when they did to the Imperium in Gibsonton. Besides, if Pescodside falls while Dulston stands, the zombies'next target would be Dulston. So it is mutual benefit for both suburbs that they support each other. Of course, I cannot guarantee anything about Kikashie, seeing he's willing to call up zombies and join forces with PKers to destroy his enemies. It looks like he is the kind of guy that think the end justifies the means. While that is an undesirable trait of his, I need to ask you again: when did he told you he is glad Pescodside is full of zombies? Was it before you kill him? Or was it after, thus he might said it out of spite? Remember that he contacted zombies to attack you after he was killed. About Garvial's death, I have to ask you this: what's worse, the zombies, or your former allies who now do things you can't approve of (like joining the MU?) Of course, siding with PKer is bad, but on the other hand, they're helping you defend your home suburb (regardless of their real intentions.) I just wonder why can't you just accept help when available, then work out differences later, preferably in a peaceful manner. You said it yourself, it's not even justified. This is just my own curiosity, but I wonder how helping the Imperium fight the invading PKers would lead to the MU? And what did those have to do with zombies invading Dulston? I fail to see any connection between those three events. Besides, the Imperium was the victim here. You seems to hate PKers, a lot. Then why did you think the DA shouldn't be helping the Imperium fighting them? Why wouldn't Mobius do the same thing? About the wiki: Well, WanYao removed everything. That guy is the real NPOV Nazi. Mamy of my comments were removed by him, despite the fact that I thought they're quite neutral. On the other hand, his comments seem to be biased towards PKer/zombie side. Go figure. The part about "a group of a dozen like the PDA" wasn't meant to be insulting. I was just stating the fact that you have numerically inferior numbers to the zombies, and thus at disadvantage following the withdrawal of DA/Imperium.
