20091106 Show Encumbrance At Top Of Inventory

A Big F'ing Dog 17:39, 6 November 2009 (UTC)

Suggestion type
Improvement

Suggestion scope
Inventory

Suggestion description
I suggest displaying encumbrance level above the inventory.

Inventory (click to use) would change to Inventory (click to use): X% encumbered.

Why? While searching players often check to see how close they are to maximum encumbrance. This might require scrolling down to the bottom of the screen several times. Although scrolling down requires minimal effort there is no reason to not eliminate this minor persistent hassle. Encumbrance should still be displayed below your inventory, this would merely make it displayed on both the top and the bottom.

Keep Votes

  1. Keep - I'd be more keen on it if it didn't display both above and below, and instead just displayed above, but moving it up is a good thing anyway. Aichon 18:18, 6 November 2009 (UTC)
  2. Keep - somewhat helpful. User:Armpit_Odor/sig - 22:06 6 November 2009 (BST)
  3. keep i mostly only play a zombie these days so it will not really make any difference to me... still it seems like a very minor and easily coded change which might do away with an equally minor problem! --Honestmistake 23:24, 6 November 2009 (UTC)
  4. Keep - Cut and past a bit of code and there you go. Saves everyone a few scrolls of the wheel. --Kamikazie-Bunny 02:11, 7 November 2009 (UTC)
  5. Keep - as armpit, and telling people to add a script isn't a valid reason against anything -- boxy talkteh rulz 02:44 7 November 2009 (BST)
  6. Keep - Why not? --Blake Firedancer T E RNL? P.I.S.I.T. 09:15, 7 November 2009 (UTC)
  7. Keep as Achion. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 11:41, 7 November 2009 (UTC)
keep --Winman1 18:09, 7 November 2009 (UTC) - Justify your vote -- To know the face of God is to know madness....Praise knowledge! Mischief! Mayhem! The Rogues Gallery!. <== DDR Approved Editor 09:27, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
  8. Keep - Good change. Rock on.-- | T | BALLS! | 23:14 7 November 2009(BST)
  9. Keep Doesn't seem very necessary, but would require pretty much zilch extra coding and would save a few seconds here and there. --Chase1993 21:21, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
  10. Keep - I like it. Go for it. Strength is just an accident arising from the weakness of others 15:48, 9 November 2009 (UTC)
  11. Keep- I don't think it could hurt except for the people who are completely used to it being at the bottom, but it could probably be changed in the player setting page. --XSinXdey 21:29 16 November 2009 (PCT)

Kill Votes

  1. Kill Utterly unnecessary. --Umbrella-White.pngThadeous OakleyUmbrella-White.png 18:18, 6 November 2009 (UTC)
  2. Kill - Personally, I like it where it is.--Yonnua Koponen Talk ! Contribs 18:56, 6 November 2009 (UTC)
  3. Change - Perhaps a better idea would be to allow some UI customization. --  AHLGTG THE END IS NIGH! 19:46, 6 November 2009 (UTC)
  4. Kill - Unnecessary, why make Kevan's job harder with unneeded changes. Plus you can always make a greasemonkey script --Technerd CFT 20:08, 6 November 2009 (UTC)
  5. Kill - Unneeded. --Maverick Talk - OBR Praise Knowledge! 404 20:12, 6 November 2009 (UTC)
  6. Kill - Unnecessary. --Private Mark 22:10, 6 November 2009 (UTC)
  7. Greasemonkey. ᚱᛁᚹᛖᚾ 00:41, 7 November 2009 (UTC)
  8. Kill - Unnecessary just look down at it or scroll down
  9. Kill - Like your thinking but it will throw quite a few users and I'm personally happy with it where it is. William Roy 07:05, 7 November 2009 (UTC)
  10. I think there are better inventory managment suggestions in Peer Review. This isn't, technically, inventory managment but with those others, this one is a non-problem.--Pesatyel 00:35, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
  11. Kill - I am absolutely fine with the way the encumbrance meter is. I see no need for change. Citric union 16:41(PST) November 8, 2009
Kill - Shorter delay between clicks of the "search" button => more work for the server, which is overloaded already. Oops, server load is not a valid kill justification. Withdrawn. --Explodey 18:26, 12 November 2009 (UTC)
  12. Kill - As Technerd, just write a script if you want to change where it is - and then share it with the other 'keep' voters. That way you're a part of the solution --YoEleven 00:52, 10 November 2009 (UTC)
  13. Kill - William Roy made the best point.--GANG Giles Sednik CAPD 00:52, 11 November 2009 (UTC)
  14. Kill - Write a Greasemonkey script if you actually want something done; mandatory=bad. Lelouch vi Britannia is helping make Ridleybank green_ and gives Achievements 01:47, 11 November 2009 (UTC)

Spam/Dupe Votes

  1. lol no.-- SA 18:07, 6 November 2009 (UTC)
  2. Spam - As many before but with a healthier dose of "Fuck you". -- To know the face of God is to know madness....Praise knowledge! Mischief! Mayhem! The Rogues Gallery!. <== DDR Approved Editor 03:03, 7 November 2009 (UTC)
