Talk:Malton Hospitals Group
Page design
Suggestions how to improve the design of the page. Keep it "clean". Hey, the wiki's complaining about the page being too big. I'm changin' things up by making the list another page. And perhaps reorganizing it. --Zeffy02:02, 18 June 2007 (BST)
Map
Got any ideas or something to say about the map that lists the amount of hospitals? Post it here.
Color Scheme
Is there some way that the color scheme could be altered? My browser is showing blue numbers on a black background, which is rather hard to read. Thanks! --Pedentic 02:10, 17 May 2007 (BST)
- What browser are you using? Internet Explorer? It works fine on Firefox... I honestly have no clue how the city map part of the page works, I just know that it does, (Not good with wiki code) so attempting to fix it would likely screw it up further. The only change to HospitalsOnMap involved changing a link thing, (I think) so I can only assume it has something to do with the page, or it's always been like this, and if it's always been like this, that really says something about the use this page gets, doesn't it?--Labine50 MHG|MEMS|DHPD 02:29, 18 May 2007 (BST)
- Yeah, I'm using Internet Explorer. I'll try playing around with the code to see if I can get something a bit more legible. --Pedentic 21:03, 26 December 2007 (UTC)
- Ummm...can you explain the "#777" and the "#DDD" on Template:HospitalsOnMap? I assume it's for color, but those aren't valid hex color codes. I am rather confused. Thanks! --Pedentic 21:12, 26 December 2007 (UTC)
Well, what you changed helped a little bit. I'm now seeing gray boxes for the suburbs with zero hospitals. However, the rest are still really dark. If I can find time, I'll mess with it a bit. --Pedentic 03:38, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
- My theory is that the HospitalsOnMap template linking to the switch template doesn't work with IE7, but I could be wrong. I don't know if it could be subst: -ed in, because the problem may not be the template linking to another template, but rather the code itself.--Labine50 MEMS | MHG 19:43, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
List
Don't like the list of hospitals? Know how to improve it? Post your suggestions here.
Hey, I just discovered http://heal.maltonhospitals.org/, which looks like the DEM's Revive Request Tool, but if it's following the same pattern, where's the list of hospitals a-la List of Revivification Points, where status information would be provided? --Morgan Blair 15:34, 28 September 2007 (BST)
- Oh, that's a joke site. (Try submitting a request.) Half the stuff on maltonhospitals.org has nothing to do with MHG, and the MHG part is STILL under construction, so I am yet to link to it on the main page...--Labine50 MEMS | MHG 07:39, 29 September 2007 (BST)

Requests
You have a hospital that really needs to be manned? Put request at the bottom of this area with linked suburb's name as headline.
Dakerstown
You are more than welcomed to send people to operate St. Ansgar's Hospital in Dakerstown. All the suburb really needs is more poeple. -Certified=Insane☭ 03:01, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
- We don't send people. We inform people. In fact, I think I'll start a new area just for requests... --Niilomaan GRR!•M! 10:16, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
- Oddly enough, I just created a scientist alt yesterday. Well, I know where to go now.--Labine50 MHG|MEMS 18:50, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
- That might be good, but to survive in Dakerstown, you basicly need free running and construction... Especially if you plan on remaining in one spot. Things aren't too safe around there, but we do need the man-power to keep the suburb from crumbling. -Certified=Insane☭ 02:18, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
- The Crimson Clan will take care of St. Bartho. It is located in the center of our HQ anyway, and we usually have quite many people present in the neighbouring buildings.

Lukinswood
Well, Lukinswood only has one hospital and it is conviently next to a PD so zombies are constantly swarming all over St. Elisabeth's Hospital. I'm registered as the hospital's "support" but I'm taking a quick vacation in Ackland mall to level up. An alt that I have keeping an eye on the hospital reports that some ***holes are keeping the hospital at EHB. I plan on returning to St. Liz fairly soon as Lukinswood badly needs a lighted hospital accesable to noobs. However, it going to take a lot of high level players to have a prayer of really defending the hospital. Do you guys think you can spare someone in about a month?--Sirs--10:58, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
- Your characters should not work together or knowing about each other. Read the rules. I also moved your request to a correct location on this page. --Niilomaan GRR!•M! 08:34, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
- What? --Sirs--8:33, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
- "Put request at the bottom of this area" - Also I personally don't support any players who don't follow the rules set by Coalition for Fair Tactics. (Note that it's only my opinion and doesn't reflect to this "group" any way.) And a last thing, you should REALLY learn to sign your posts. Just place --~~~~ or press that funky button on top at the location where you want the sig. --Niilomaan GRR!•M! 07:15, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
- I don't get how requesting help is against "the rules"
- Still got problem signing? Well... How about this part: "I'm taking a quick vacation in Ackland mall to level up. An alt that I have keeping an eye on the hospital reports..."? You have your chars reporting to each other and sharing single duty. --Niilomaan GRR!•M! 15:37, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
- If keeping a low level player as nothing more than fly on the wall is against Malton Hospital's official "rules" than I guess Lukinswood will continue without official help. The player in question died earlyer yesterday in another massive zombie assault. But please don't let the growing infestation bother you, after all, it was agianst "the rules." Finally got a signature, tho I wish it could link to UD. Sirs
- Who said anything about "Malton Hospital's official "rules"". If you read up you'll see that I wrote "I personally don't support any players who don't follow the rules set by Coalition for Fair Tactics." Doesn't say anything about the rest of the people reading or contributing to this place. You can make your signature to link anything you want. It's just recommended that you keep least the name part linked to your user page. Read this. (PS. My Nickname field says: Niilomaan GRR!•M!). And please also use the timestamp while signing your posts. --Niilomaan GRR!•M! 23:30, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

Vinetown
Although it is supposed to be a safe suburb, its only hospital is constantly under zombie attack and ransacked, I was there and one day discovered I was the only one alive inside the building and there were like 10 zombies inside (not good news). Gelasius General Hospital is currently not safe for low level survivors and it is the only place for them to get FAKs as the mall is always HB. Help would be appreciated. --Lithedarkangel 00:13, 20 April 2007 (BST)
- Alright, I've notified the MRC and am heading there personally as we speak. (I need a revive though, I got killed the other day, so it may be a while before you actually see me.)--Labine50 MH|ME|TNT'07 05:39, 21 April 2007 (BST)
- Thanks, I went to Vinetown today and found at least less zombies -only two or three in the surroundings-, though the hospital is heavily barricaded.
- Update:Just added an image of the surroundings--Lithedarkangel 01:26, 22 April 2007 (BST)
- Just wondering if you are actually at the hospital, because there are 8 zombies outside, 1 zombie in the library and 1 zombie at the Dinovan Monument. --Lithedarkangel 02:14, 24 April 2007 (BST)
Swithun General Hospital (Tapton)
Currently the cade is down and a zombie is in. Twelve survivors, all in full health. A couple high-level military-types, but nobody is on-line currently. I'm not sure that this is right forum to report this, but it seemed preferential to doing nothing. --Sirnickdon 02:20, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
Pescodside
Currently the NE is being sieged, however, when it is over with the group FOXHOUND would like to take this as our HQ in Pescodside. Get back to me. Thank you. --N00bert F 22:20, 2 April 2008 (BST)

Category
Hmmm...I'm not quite sure why I put this in human groups upon reflection, Do you think we would have a green light to put it in organisations? The definition of "Organisation" according to the text at the top of the page is "This is the category for any and all groups who don't so much act as groups of individuals but rather organize other groups." What to you all think?--Labine50 MHG|MEMS 18:54, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
Active, or not?
Have you noticed that a few groups who registered a hospital did so back in June and July when after I went on a mad spam-o-rific advetising spree? (Not proud of that...) Should we maybe ask groups to update the timestamp every month or so to show they're still there? Just a thought at one in the morning...--Labine50 MHG|MEMS 06:56, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
- That's not a bad idea, it's sort of what I had in mind when we thought about adding a timestamp column to the hospital list. The idea is to keep a list of actively-maintained hospitals, after all, and one indicator of "actively maintaining" is whether they stop by and update the timestamp. The same idea was going around on the revised revive point list, until the new template got canned, and I noticed Max stopped by here and updated the timestamp for Josephine's. -- Atticus Rex mfu pif Δ 08:33, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
- He didn't update, he added. And after that I fixed those to show the real date he joined. I don't think that those dates should be updated, because the list is a mess. It's damn hard to find the correct hospital on that list. If group is deleted as inactive, then we can remove it drom the list. --Niilomaan GRR!•M! 20:32, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
- I put in fresh dates but I like the idea of leaving the original sign up dates more. It will give us a good idea of the pace at which hospitals are added. Even though the page requests groups and users to sign up some may still view the page as a group page that they are not allowed to edit? Maybe a little more explanation of the cooperative nature of MHG early on in the page will help dispel any fears that MHG seeks to control groups or users and that it is open to all. On a side note, I have always found that passing out FAKs is one of the fastest ways to level up. Maybe some cross-referencing to the survivor guides would be a good place to pitch signing up for a hospital. --Max Grivas JG / M.F.T. 00:20, 10 November 2006 (UTC)

I notice the WMC are back up, didn't somebody say that had dis-banded?--Labine50 MHG|MEMS 01:26, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
- I don't know about disbanded, but I put them back on the list because they had an MHG template on their hospital page and some fairly recent references on other pages. If they're gone, they're gone, but de-registering isn't something I'd like to see us doing unless we're certain they're gone. Just my opinion. -- Atticus Rex mfu pif Δ 03:23, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
(And this is a quote)"Yes, WMC died quite a while ago, and I wasn't on the lead. But anyways, you can take it off that list.--Hape" I'll go ahead and do that...--Labine50 MH|ME|P 03:48, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
I'm just wondering... there are some hospitals active...some not...most of them were signed two or one years ago?! hmmm...going to put some help I'm going to take care of a hospital Shearbank: Josaphat General Hospital(yes...I'm still alive and playing) Just for the moment, If I leave I will post that too--Lithedarkangel 23:07, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
Infirmaries
In light of the new update, should we check with the CDF and throw together a policy on the barricading and such of the infirmaries? I'm not sure if they even can be barricaded at the moment, though.--Labine50 MH|ME|P 18:57, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
- I found the one in Creedy to be barricaded very strongly. I hope that will be the appropriate level. I only spent a few AP in there and it will take some experimentation to see how the new changes will play out. --Max Grivas JG / M.F.T. 21:13, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
Phone Mast status report
If you time, can we get your members to update Mobile_Phone_Mast#Locations with the current status of your phone masts near your locations? Thanks. Asheets 20:12, 14 February 2007 (UTC)

- Members...? Looks like it's time to tell the community that we aren't really a group. Again.--Labine50 MH|ME|'07 02:06, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
Zombies?
A zombie group just registered a hospital. Now I have no clue what the **** to do...--Labine50 MH|ME|'07 03:18, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
- Hmph... Well.. We didn't say that the doctor there would have to be alive. I find it kinda funny. Like a big happy zombie trap. Tho if more groups start doing that then we need to put an end to it. --Niilomaan GRR!•M! 08:18, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
Popularity
As of this writing, Malton Hospitals Group is the 50th most linked to page on the wiki, with 560 links. (The abbreviation, "MHG" is at 498th with 103 links) I've baked a cake to celebrate the occasion, but I left "Happy 560th link" out of the icing to avoid people thinking I'm crazy.--Labine50 MHG|MEMS|DHPD 19:47, 25 May 2007 (BST)

The Great Radio Group Massacre
Group Active? Request. | |
In order to maintain the wiki as an up to date source of information groups are occasionally removed from the Radio pages when they are no longer active. Is this group still active? If so simply confirm here by writing something below. If not it's frequency will be removed from Radio pages in 14 days. |
This may seem like a random request, but it's for all groups regardless of size. Thanks!
