West Monroeville is a suburb of Monroeville.
West Monroeville is a largely built up area which includes many fields towards the west of the suburb. It contains a number of malls, including the famous Monroeville Mall. At this time this is the largest TRP structure in the whole of Monroeville. Judging by the number of factories and warehouses, the northeast of the suburb was the more industrial zone. There is a more built up area toward the north of the suburb. This built-up area was probably a more desirable place to live with many schools and clubs nearby. The lack of hospitals towards the north suggests that this area was also inhabited by wealthy people with excellent health care. This is evident by the presence of the only mansion in the suburb; Buckner Mansion is very close to this area.
The suburb is 30 blocks wide and 45 blocks high. It ranges from (340,1) in the north-west to (369,46) in the south-east.
It borders Oak Hill to the west; to the east, Central Monroeville; to the south, the district of South Monroeville; and to the north lies the impassable Quarantine Zone.

Zombies from Oak Hill have started to reach as far as Archway Mall(364, 6) and may have already taken Raisden PD(359,6). Further south there are a large number of zombies lurking about, with no noticable organization except for a few clusters scattered about. Reisch 12:08 AM EST, 7 July 2008

Break-in at St Basil's Hospital [363,16], there were 7 zombies inside with 3 survivors and loose cades... my traveling companion and I killed and dumped 3 of the zombies, brought the cades up to QS, and healed the remaining survivors, but if someone doesn't come along and finish the job, those survivors will die and that hospital will be lost. --Skyfaller 04:23, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

Went in St Dorotheus's Hospital Not too many people there, 5 infected buildings around it, all to the east, found a spare fire axe in a factory lots of people seem to be going south-west, i have a feeling that the zombie hoardes are attacking the northern areas, empty generator inside the hospital, not many survivors -<()>- user:Jimmyp424/Mr Fire Man -<()>-

Drummond Mall has been cracked wide open by the Monroeville Resistance Front. Through its southern block members of the Monroeville Many and the Cornfed Undead have poured into the Mall ruining its southern section. Over 50 inside. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 17:01, 24 March 2008 (UTC)

Constant radio chatter shows a confused picture. Some survivors are heading further and further west, whilst communication between the two remaining malls is constant as they try to attract barricaders and hope that the zombies arent heading their way.--RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 10:57, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

Monroeville Mall has fallen to the hands of the Cornfed Undead , the Monroeville Many and the Monroeville Resistance Front. It is under constant attack and remaining survivours with some intelligene are told to fall back to safehouses and try to retake the mall. --Rorybob 18:27, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

Survivors should show greater caution now, as some zombies have learned how to ransack and ruin buildings. There appears to be small groups of the undead targeting hospitals in the western half of West Monroeville. Tom Skarn 19:03, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
- Zombies have now broken into several PDs, james hospital, auto repair facilities SW of monroeville mall, along with breaking in at places actually at the mall. while zeds total numbers remain low, everyone they kill adds another to the zombies and one less for humans. And with no NTs, and no adajacent buildings to monroeville mall to maintain at VSB, the mall sections must be VSB to let survivors in (and risk lower cades for zombies) or EHB (and have no surrounding survivor populations to reinforce it); it will surely fall only time is the question. -Milknova 02:22, 18 March 2008 (UTC)

Lone survivors fight growing feelings of despair and loneliness as they continue to gather supplies. Survivors have commented about taking luxuries for granted. Community leaders (alive) urge survivors to travel in groups, stay indoors when possible, to beware of the risen ( local zombies ).. they are no longer are the people you know and loved... nothing can be done for them. remember there are still many people out there that need your help. The dead community leaders could be reached for comment, but had little to add. Survivors are urged to take personal responsibility for defending neighborhood strategic locations such as police departments, junk yards, hospitals, and fire departments. As always don't be a barricade killer your fellow man depends on a safe place to sleep...that they can enter. "Irongunner 20:46, 11 March 2008 (UTC)"

Sparelsy populated survivors are being killed by local zombies. It is advised that harmans watch their barricade levels and the situation outside buildings. The increased number of zombies in the suburb hasn't gone un-noticed, with a majority around the Archway Mall area. All zombies in the area are warned that harmans only have one life, so may resort to killing you if you are alone, so it is suggested that you be cautious as to where you sleep for the night as you will most likely end up dead if you sleep infront of a TRP (for example). Survivors around Archway Mall have been seen sleeping on the street, making them an easy target for the zombies who are going around the area looking for XP. It seems now that the arms race for construction and Memories of Life is coming to a close, with roughly both sides getting it at about the same time. This means that survivors are to watch their AP, be aware of free running routes and most importantly, watch where they sleep. West Monroeville is also the best mapped out of all the suburbs, so those in the area are advised to look carefully when travelling, working out the best way to get to their destination. Any feral zombies in the area are advised to find a larger horde and stick together as they are more likely to find a target that way, thus levelling up faster. For survivors, the use of radios would help, it is advised that those who are looking to openly co-ordinate, create a frequency for the suburb to use, possibly making zones for different frequencies. On the first feb 29th in Urban deads history, people are still sleeping on the streets. Hordes of 6 or 7 zombies are around, but mostly there lying in piles of corpses. Monroeville Mall is powered, and contains at least one survivor with construction. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 20:37, 29 February 2008 (UTC)

I can find tons of humans sitting outside unbarricaded buildings because they can't find any zombies. I'm not going to be a PKer in Monroeville and instead I'm going to help the humans. Well, here's some advice: Don't stand outside! Now, most of the zombies either have Vigour Mortis or Memories Of Life --The Gecko PKer 15:47, 28 February 2008 (UTC)

With most of the suburb now being mapped, survivors are finding freedom to explore the area. However to thwart this plan is the group Monroeville Many, who are now 'claiming' this suburb as their home turf with their slogan When the End Begins, Begin with Monroeville Many.
In addition, many of the buildings in the suburb (especially the NE part) are not barricaded very well. For example, Raisden Row Police Department is down to its last level. Survivors are advised to watch out, because many of the zombies in the suburb are gaining Memories Of Life and will most likely be attacking TRPs, given that they are fresh spawn points for survivors.
