Newtown's location in Monroeville.

Full Region Map

Known groups in this suburb:

Newtown is located in the southwest corner of the Monroeville. It appears to be 27x41; the north-eastern corner of Newtown is at [327,59]. To the south and west of it are Borders of the city, to the east and north - fields and cornfields of Outside the City. It is a satellite city or part of suburbs of Monroeville, and not the actual city itself.

Newtown Longevity Zone

Because undeath is permanent in this city, staying alive as long as possible is potentially a good idea. To that end, survivors with a clue are encouraged to trek southwest and join in the establishment and defense of what will almost certainly be the last suburb standing.

The Zone centers around Weaver Mall, which, incidentally, is offering some excellent bargains, more or less all you can carry.

Have reactivated my account in Monroeville. Currently holed up in a location which I cannot reveal. Where are the other two survivors? Please contact me at my email. Ozzythegnome.

February 18

Survivor spotted holed up in Martz Lane Police Dept [301-65]. Currently holding off a small groups of 4-5 Zeds who have been chewing on the cades for the last few days to get to him.--Happykook 17:47, 18 February 2009 (UTC)

Three Dog here for news on Newtown. As the rest of the City this area has been ruined probbly no servivers left but if there is anyone left be careful and stay safe. This is Three Dog here for your Waistland News Radio and we are here for you... And now some music. *puts on Maybe* --Three Dog 03:17, 6 December 2008 (UTC)

July 28th

Newtown is certainly dead. There was a repaired and barricaded auto repair a few days ago, most (if not all) survivors inside were killed in short order. Are there even survivors left in the suburb? Little hope remains for them if there are.--Blasterfire 03:39, 29 July 2008 (BST)

July 18th

Eastern border of Newtown has hundreds of zombies with approximately 300 zombies in or around Hyginus, Foxworthy, Glasco, and Jenkins. If you are coming to Newtown I would advise only entering from the northwest.--Lostcauseman 15:43, 18 July 2008 (BST)

Newton will not be taken. Yes, the zombies in monroeville are more than double the amount of survivors, but if we all stick together, and level up for the headshot skill, we could still make it out alive. I for one, will follow Lostcauseman in an attempt to triumph against the undead, and if the time comes, i would fall by his side. All survivors be on the lookout, stick with large groups until we all can join together. NEWTOWN SHALL NOT FALL!! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Longbow (talkcontribs) 22:01, 17 July 2008 (BST).

Unless the last PD's have already fallen, there's under 200 people left, and the majority of those are level 1 accounts that had the misfortune to spawn in the area. The "war" such as it was, is over, and you lost. All that's left are a handful of people who knew when to cut and run, and the level 1's, and as one of the former, I'm shooting the latter.
Actual news: Newtown has pretty much been reduced to rubble. Almost everyone is dead. The zombies are singing in the streets and boozing it up in celebration. --The Grimch U! E! 04:45, 18 July 2008 (BST)

July 14th

I have worked tirelessly to maintain communications between Hyginus general hospital, Foxworthy Police Department, and Johnson Boulevard Fire Station. I've done my best to get survivors to stay put and hold their ground against the zeds already gathering outside in the twenties. Between the faks from Hyginus and the limitless supply of ammunition from Foxworthy we might stand a chance. Most of the panicked survivors have already fled, cutting our numbers from 240 to 120 a single day. Please... any zombie hunters out there you are needed at Foxworthy! We are having break ins every few hours and without head shot we won't be able to hold for more then a few days. God help us if they take Newtown. --Lostcauseman 19:38, 14 July 2008 (BST)

They already have taken Newtown, where less than a handful of buildings remain standing. I, for one, welcome our new zombie overlords. I sincerely hope they will retain some humans as breeding stock to keep the zombie masters fed throughout the rest of history. I humbly volenteer for such a breeding position. --The Grimch U! E! 15:47, 16 July 2008 (BST)

July 11th

The choke hold on Newton grows tighter around the area as the Cornfed Undead and others continue their assault. --Bullgod 22:07, 11 July 2008 (BST)

July 4th

The North East, North West and the area around Weaver Mall are all filled with zombies. Only the far south of the regions is still relatively zombie free. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 00:06, 5 July 2008 (BST)

July 3rd

Watts Drive PD, Peter Crescent PD, and Matthias General Hospital have all fallen to zombie hands, the entire area in swarming with over 40 zeds, they seem intent on making it south, so stay away from the west most boarder. --DylanHillman 1:25, 3 July 2008 (BST)

June 28th

Mall is going down, 3 Zeds outside Methodius General Hospital so don't run that way. --Mc Haggis 20:25, 29 June 2008 (BST)

June 28th

Scattered zombie forces throughout the areas north of Weaver Mall. I noticed several ruined buildings including Utz Boulevard Police Dept which contained eight zombies.--Aeroedge 14:04, 28 June 2008 (BST)

June 26th

I've got word from a reliable source that the Monroeville Many are on their way to Newtown with the goal of wiping out all life in the area. I suggest preparing for the worst, especially when you check out their wiki page and see their recent targets are all on the border of South Monroeville and Outside the City. More than likely they'll be showing up in the next day or so.--Officer David 08:27, 26 June 2008 (BST)

Peachee Road PD is under attack, most likely wont hold out, Darby Way PD has fallen, Emma General Hospital is ruined, Anicetus General Hospital (north) is ruined, all those buildings are quite close together, near the centre of Newtown. Lots of Zeds in that immediate area. --Madxhatter 22:24, 26 June 2008 (BST)

June 22nd

From what I could tell, no zeds on the east side of the suburb. Fisk Police Department and Parkdale hospital are at VSB.Gluttonman 17:27, 22 June 2008 (BST)

Thats odd, given that the row of buildings starting at Amy grove firestation at 322,92 and progressing inwards at least four buildings is not only gutted, but ruined, along with a few surrounding buildings. Perhaps you should be a little more thorough in your investigations next time? I know this because i farmed the zombies doing it for EXP for three days. --The Grimch U! E! WAT! 17:30, 22 June 2008 (BST)

June 21st

It is advised that younger surviors travel farther into the suburb, for there are breakins in resources points exspecially on the edges of Newtown such as Parkdale Hospital and Fisk Police department. Please heed the advice. -- Takiel 24:41 (EST), 21 June 2008

June 20th

2 zeds currently outside Fisk Police department, cades at loosly, break-ins frequent Gluttonman 22:31, 20 June 2008 (BST)

4 zeds outside Club Sellman, 1 outside McCormick cinema - Via radio Mc haggis 14:46, 19 June 2008 (BST)

Everything seems so quiet here. It's like the calm before the storm. --Takiel 9:04 (EST), 14 June 2008

May 28th

Due to recent News members of the Monroeville Many will be making guest appearances in Newtown over the next few days. Prizes for all who can find them.

May 3rd

On the contrary, there is a zombie inside Ewing Library that used to be my survivor character. I was recently pked by a player named Zarl Dog and have no interest in playing as a zombie. Feel free to put a few bullets in Zarl Dog if you see fit after you are done wasting me as at the moment he is killing my teammate and I am unable to stop him.--Srg Shawn 04:36, 4 May 2008 (BST)

April 18th

No zeds seen yet at the south-east corner of Newtown. Further scouting will reveal more. --Alexander VIII 19:41, 18th April 2008 (UTC)

April 10th

The Monroeville Many have been spotted at the north west corner of newtown tearing down barricades at targeting high level survivers. --Pvt human 23:44, 9 April 2008 (BST)

April 9th

A few clusters near the north west of the suberb are posing problems, would only take a few zombie hunters with headshot fix it, overall its pretty quiet. --Pvt human 11:23, 9 April 2008 (BST)

April 4th

Still extremely boring, All the zombies I find in here are half dead and don't yield too much experience. If anyone knows of any clusters of zeds please let me know, my email is Takingbackty30@aim.com, join the Hamilton Vanguards with me while you are at it =] —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Ty downing (talkcontribs) at an unknown time.

March 17th

Still very safe, although I wouldn't recommend sleeping outside, as there's the odd zombie roaming around. User:Jordan Salafack » JS talk contribs » 15:11, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

Safe! The mostly VSB and powered buildings are a dramatic counterpoint to the rotting burbs of Malton. Some are sleeping outside, bringing back fond memories of South Blythville's glory days for the living. Saromu Zergs! 22:47, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

March 11th

Survivors are trickling in, with a few generators running and 'cades up. Streets quiet except for a few scattered ferals. Kind of boring, actually. It would be helpful if someone wanted to put together a map of the neighborhood. - WhatZombies —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Jordan Salafack (talkcontribs) at an unknown time.
