None of the Above!

  1. Only DDR seems to have a level of activity to suggest being worthwhile, sadly we don't get on so he isn't getting my vote. The rest just don't have enough of a track record so I can't really vouch/vote them. All said and done, I think the candidate selection speaks volumes as to where this place is going..... --Honestmistake 00:35, 5 October 2010 (BST)
We had one much like it a year ago you goose :P UDWiki:Administration/Bureaucrat_Promotions/September_2009. -- LEMON #1 01:52, 5 October 2010 (BST)
  2. I guess I'm gonna have to abstain indefinitely until Aich accepts the position :( -- LEMON #1 01:52, 5 October 2010 (BST)
I just got an e-mail from a professor informing me that one of my students had complained about the fact that I was slow on grading their essays and was wondering if this were true (it was). When I reflect on how I'm choosing to use my time and arrange my priorities each night as I'm going to bed, I don't think I'll be regretting my decision to refuse additional responsibilities on the wiki for a video game. ;) Aichon 07:55, 5 October 2010 (BST)

Fess up?

So does anyone know who meatpuppeted me through this election yet? I was looking through the archive and now I'm intrigued. -- LEMON #1 07:32, 10 January 2011 (UTC)

yeah I guess not. sigh -- LEMON #1 06:15, 12 January 2011 (UTC)
I initially thought Iscariot was trying to force a draw, but maybe that makes no sense. :P --Yonnua Koponen Talk ! Contribs 08:16, 12 January 2011 (UTC)
Hmm. I don't believe there's a way in the world he would vote for me even to force a draw for the lols... But I guess I'm open to any ideas because I'm fucking stumped. -- LEMON #1 10:14, 12 January 2011 (UTC)
It's not that, since it's no real secret that Iscariot wanted a Ross-Mis 'crat lineup, hence why he showed up to bid on Mis at the last minute. I don't know who did it, but I seriously doubt it was Iscariot behind it. Aichon 10:25, 12 January 2011 (UTC)
Although, I suppose he may have done it to discourage a last minute rally in favor of DDR, with the intention of administering the coup de grâce himself at the very end, but that seems risky and unlikely, as well as ill-advised, given what happened with the removal of votes due to proxy usage. Aichon 10:28, 12 January 2011 (UTC)
I don't agree with the assessment. I always got the impression Iscariot wanted a Ross - NotDDR line up, Mis was just a pawn. It's rather disturbing but I never had a problem with him, and would recommend his No More Heroes article as one of the best things ever written about UD. One of the angriest things written about UD, but still amazing reading. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 10:59, 12 January 2011 (UTC)
I did it! I am the king of meatpuppetry (I totally missed the election ) --Karloth Vois ¯\(°_o)/¯ 11:15, 12 January 2011 (UTC)
I think it wasn't just meat, there was also alot of sockpuppetery. Let's just hope there will be none of this during the forthcoming election. --Umbrella-White.pngThadeous OakleyUmbrella-White.png Talk 12:25, 12 January 2011 (UTC)
Defo remember Izzy wanting me out after we had our many bitter moments so he could get in, still heavily doubt it was him. Hmm. Must have been grim! -- LEMON #1 12:43, 12 January 2011 (UTC)
Isc wouldn't have been stupid enough to leave such obvious puppets. Lets blame Grim. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 12:46, 12 January 2011 (UTC)
Got it, Hagnat!--Yonnua Koponen Talk ! Contribs 16:46, 12 January 2011 (UTC)
Ah fuck it.... I admit it, it was me. Damn my secret hard-on for authoritarian dipshit Australians--Honestmistake 00:21, 13 January 2011 (UTC)!
Hey, you made a post without putting an exclamation mark at the end... wow. -- LEMON #1 00:33, 13 January 2011 (UTC)
Oh wait, you put it in after the signature. I knew it was too good to be true. -- LEMON #1 00:33, 13 January 2011 (UTC)
so i mostly post in exclamations.... with a wiki this messed up it's hardly in-excusable.--Honestmistake 00:59, 13 January 2011 (UTC)
That is the stupidest excuse I've ever heard. -- LEMON #1 01:05, 13 January 2011 (UTC)

jerrel's question

I would like to know why I can't be Promo'd to ANYTHING!-- Jerrel tlk (82nd!) (Project Unwelcome!). 01:29, 12 April 2010 (BST)

Possibly due to your vast inactivity. A sysop is expected to be highly active so as to constantly maintain the wiki's admin tasks, and a bureaucrat is expected to be even more active so as to have a good understanding of the activity levels and reliability of the members of the community. Strength is just an accident arising from the weakness of others 01:33, 12 April 2010 (BST)
Indeed. Bureaucrat positions are only available to current sysops, and sysops have to meet certain criteria in order to be promoted to that position. When last you applied for promotion to sysop, you failed to meet the minimum activity requirements in order to be eligible for promotion. While those requirements can be waived in the case of widespread community support, I'm afraid that you didn't appear to have that widespread support at the time. Check the guidelines at the top of these pages and they should explain what's necessary for promotion, in terms of raw objective numbers and other, more subjective, measures. Aichon 01:49, 12 April 2010 (BST)
I already explain on his talk. -- 01:51, 12 April 2010 (BST)
Yes, well...I liked how I said it better. :P Aichon 01:56, 12 April 2010 (BST)
Or as I outlined in your last bid. --RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 10:26, 14 April 2010 (BST)
